It's the MM patch for HD Stone Quarry and Clay Deposit ...uninstalling this patch resolves. It also looks better, so I am updating our instructions now to reflect: With the MM patch Without the MM patch I'm really not sure how this could be an MM patch, since it introduces a seam and does not blend as well with MM.

I haven't notice an issue with this, but I haven't looked for it. If you provide a location and vantage, I can check.
-
You are posting about terrain LOD, so DynDOLOD doesn't apply. Your xLODGen Quality settings are much too high (low quality). Hover your mouse cursor over a setting to get a brief explanation. Try using settings similar to what we recommend (ignore our gamma setting unless you are using Cathedral Landscapes)
-
Then the issue might be specific to that particular reference or some conflict in your plugins or save. This NPC looks correct in Step. Test by traveling to some other location or using a new game. Use the console to spawn this NPC: player.placeatme 013643

Revisit the installation of aMidianborn Content Addon. Filter to Armor\Iron\Male\CuirassLightGND.nif in MO Data tab of right pane. It seems you are missing those textures: textures\amb variants\unique sets\ironpride\cuirassmale.dds Otherwise, some other mod is providing Armor\Iron\Male\CuirassLightGND.nif and you are missing the textures.

Can you rephrase your question? I don't follow what you are asking.

I have a pending update to the LOOT ML, but they haven't looked at it yet. I will use a PR if they don't do so in another week-ish.- 83 replies

No, Tempered skin for males is a texture compatible with the vanilla body and is used in Step. You did not select the armor. In MIC, you need to click on the armor specifically. Get closer or use the mouse wheel to cycle through the objects in the area you clicked until you see something about armor. You can hover the mouse over the NIF and textures then press the space bar to drill into those.

DynDOLOD is being terminated prematurely, suddenly closes
z929669 replied to VulKun's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
You can set: realtimelog=1 ...at the bottom of your DynDOLOD_SSE.ini. Then run it again and copy/paste the output from the application window. -
Use MIC to identify the mesh and textures and what mod(s) is providing them. It's not an issue in the Step build, AFAIK, and nobody else has seen this problem. If you are using a different body mod than Step (UNP vanilla), this issue could be a result of that.

Thanks. It was in Overwrite probably because your skse64_loader (what you used to launch the game) is the 'SKSE64' application MO is using, and it did not have instructions to shunt output into a mod. The SKSE executable was probably not used at all, so it's instructions were moot. I just renamed my skse64_loader to "SKSE Skyrim Launcher", and I probably deleted any other SKSE-redundant MO executables, which seems to work. We may need to update the instructions likewise if anyone else runs into this issue. It's one of those things that only happens once. After it's fixed, it never rears its ugly head again, so maybe that's why we never hear about it.

Thanks for the info. I am planning to have a look at using "SphereNormals" in the shape name of the DynDOLOD NIFs, but I will first ask if my efforts will be redundant if you plan on adding logic to do this when CG is detected (or when ComplexGrassBillboard is changed from default). I never imagined these keywords worked for grass, but it seems obvious now that I know. Alternatively, let me know if you want more data and any testing relating to this and the specifics of that testing. I have found that ShereNormals KW is a solution for EVT trees where the normal faces at the top are more horizontal than vertical as they are in the lower branches. Radial normal faces seem to solve several issues in LOD foliage, it seems.

Yes, but you also have an executable for skse64_loader, so just set that up in the same way, because it's actually SKSE64 created automatically by MO. I assuming this is what you use to launch. You only need one of these as an executable, so you can also delete one of them.

Thanks. I agree: Step (WR Mesh Fixes) Step (MCMO) WRMF instructions updated likewise.

'High' is greater than 'low', so highest priority is the largest number. Higher priority installs/plugins override lower ones. MO defaults to sorting by priority, lowest to highest. You should not need to manually change priority values if you follow the instructions. It just happens naturally.
-
You probably are not sending SKSE output into the mod as instructed in the Tools Setup. Your GrassControl.ini is possibly in Overwrite as a result. Set things up as shown above and move the INI if it's in Overwrite.

It looks like you have not restored the original (dirty) vanilla masters into the game folder. Once you do that, they will appear in the left pane. The right pane looks right, since you have the cleaned versions installed as a mod. You are getting there. Revisit the SSG to be sure you initialized the game correctly and downloaded all of the CC content. Then see Step 3 to properly restore the vanilla masters. In fact, you should probably revisit all of Step 3 and read carefully. The MO Overwrite cannot receive the vanilla masters if you follow our instructions. Be sure to unfold all of the spoiler instructions in Step 3.

You must be using a mod that isn't in the Step guide ...or you possibly installed something with the wrong options. I'm in WR all the time and haven't seen any floating embers. There was one introduced by these mods with Relighting Skyrim, but the Step Patch resolves. brazier in WR MIC brazier MIC embers
-
Thanks. I knew you had the answer for this. I couldn't recall the cause and I couldn't find the other topic where you mentioned this as the cause. I never see this issue, because I always follow our guide advice when running xLODGen
-
Did you generate terrain LOD using xLODGen before running DynDOLOD?
-
Use MIC to identify the source plugins for the embers and the brazier.

You need to revisit installation instructions for Vokrii, Vokrii - Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul Patch, and Kryptopyrs Patch Hub. The last warning can be ignored. The LOOT masterlist is out of date for that one. I have a change request in for that one. -
