  1. I have never heard anyone mention they have an "Extreme STEP" or "Performance STEP" install. This nomenclature does seem dated. As for the baseline...I don't see how getting rid of those terms would affect it. You are either at STEP baseline, above, or below. It seems logical enough to me. Besides, I guarantee that well over 90% of people are just downloading the version STEP tells them to. If someone is following a guide, they are doing it for a reason...
  2. Yep, that is the STEP guide. Install everything for an Extended install (besides a few mods it tells you not to), and only install the mods with a green vertical bar on the left for a Core install. And yeah, 200 sounds about right. Although a lot of those are just textures, so I bet the plug in count is quite a bit less. Maybe 120?
  3. If you look at the link you provided to the DynDOLOD section in the SR:LE guide, check where it says version. It states: Version: 2.07 BETA (Main File + Resources Located In Optional Files) This means you need to download the v2.07 BETA main file and the v2.07 BETA Resources file.
  4. I'm not an SRLE Extended guy, but I noticed the discussion on SSR...I have been playing with the full version for a bit and I just love it. It makes stealth more challenging and more rewarding. Another gem by Kryptopyr!
  5. Shot in the dark, but are you using v306? Or one of the new beta 307 versions? v306 is the current stable version.
  6. Yeah I heard there was an incompatibility with nioverride.dll. I think that is in the main plugin, but used by one of the optional RaceMenu files you recommend. I read that the Overlay plugin might be the issue. Edit: More info.
  7. Woooo! Second post. :-P But more seriously, have you had a chance to look at Sheson and Meh321's SKSE Plugin Preloader? Any thoughts on its efficacy? I saw one report that it may break scripts, but that was a lone person. Edit: Actually I probably should have waited to post, not sure if you want more room for stuff on page 1. Feel free to delete, hide or move this if you want more room for further news or other items of importance.
  8. It definitely shouldn't be ignored. Missing masters will cause the game to CTD on startup. However, it worked fine for me... try doing the process again. Download the main file from RS Children, the BoS patch and the merged complete and hide or delete the two .esp files indicated. Then download the new file from the link that Neo gives, and overwrite the old merged USKP .esp. Then do the rest of the steps. It sounds to me like it didn't properly overwrite the old merged USKP .esp when you installed it.
  9. Delete it. Bashed patch will come later. That happens whenever you open up Wrye Bash if you have no bashed patch.
  10. No...delete that merged file and re-download USLEEP. USLEEP is one file that took the place of the main USP and 3 DLC patches. You may screw up your game with that merged file. In the RS Children section Neo mentions replacing RSChildren_CompleteUSKP.esp with another custom version of the .esp which he links to. That version will solve your problem.
  11. Hey Sheson, I noticed when generating DynDOLOD with v1.49 that ELE_Legendary_Lite.esp was added as a master, but not ELE_Fs_Wt_Lite.esp. I am using the 0.9.5c version (the most up-to-date version) of ELE Lite for Skyrim Legendary, and then I used the custom installer in v0.9.5b to add the relevant files and imagespaces for Falskaar and Wyrmstooth. Do you imagine this will be an issue? Is there a custom rule I should add for DynDOLOD to recognize this other plugin name? I plan on running DynDOLOD again anyway once v2 comes out of beta (but I can always run it before if there is something you would like me to test). Thanks for your time. My firstborn is yours...
  12. Yes, that is the value you should change. The number refers to (what I think is called) the keyboard scan code. B = 66. https://www.cambiaresearch.com/articles/15/javascript-key-codes
  13. This mod is definitely a keeper. Check out the samples on the Nexus page to see an example of the difference. Currently covers 68% of Skyrim audio (3188 files), and the author is still working on it. This covers a lot of stuff that AOS2 doesn't cover (i.e. ambient sounds). I didn't install the spells optional (found within the main archive), as AOS2 covers that. When I installed, I moved this to the top of the STEP "2.L. Sounds" category so that everything else had a higher priority. Result: - 470 conflicted files provided by other mods - 2731 non-conflicted files I haven't even tried to see if this could replace other audio mods in STEP yet. I imagine it could... If STEP is looking at changing anything up on the audio side, I definitely recommend testing this out.
  14. Just an FYI, it looks like the Skyforge Weapons are still missing from the STEP instructions. I believe the prerequisite is installed in the BoS.
  15. Have you guys seen this: FCO Bugfixes. I don't think it fixes the Sweat ESP bug mentioned by Katopill, but it does have some other fixes.
  16. Not my patch. ;-) I was just giving a PSA. To answer your question, yes you can skip both. Unique Booze HD is included in the STEP recommended version of Radiant and Unique Potions and Poisons (i.e. "Radiant and Unique Potions Poisons and BOOZE.esp"), and this patch will cover patching CACO for every mod currently in STEP (except for the few STEP mods that need to be removed; see OP of this thread for details on those). Onem4nb4nd has also made versions of this patch that include the alternate names. Basically Onem4nb4nd has just saved STEP users from a ton of headaches. :-)
  17. FYI, CACO-STEP patch has been updated for CACO v1.2. Link here. It includes the relevant CACO patches from the CACO Nexus page. In other words, for a plain STEP install, just the CACO main file and the CACO-STEP patch are needed. If the staff recommend using this patch, the testing instructions in the OP of this thread may need to be altered. The sticky in the Nexus posts section for the patch also lists a different recommended load order, but I haven't checked it out in xEdit yet to see if it actually matters. Anyway, cheers to Kryptopyr and Co. for the great update to CACO. And cheers to onem4nb4nd for the updated patch!
  18. More updates yesterday and today for the Forges Add-On, the Lava Crater Add-On, and the Ultimate HD Fire Effects Compatibility Patch. The description for the Forges Add-On states that the Skyforge mesh has been fixed, so I think it should be OK to not hide the file anymore.
  19. Yes, you still need it.
  20. Nah, you should be able to update USLEEP without any worry.
  21. LMAO, I saw this on Reddit today as well. I watched it three times in a row and I couldn't stop laughing. I'm not sure if that makes me a bad person or not... Oh well. *shrug* *watches it again*
  22. Your load order seems very messed up. Note these LOOT Rules you need to add: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.9.2#2.O._Launching_STEP:Skyrim Also, you do not have any STEP patch (from the STEP Compilation) or Bashed Patch. For FNIS, did you run the generator to get the FNIS Output?
