I think it's a good addition. -
I prefer Gamwich's retexture as well.

Is this a cracked verison of Skyrim?
Greg replied to GamerPoets's question in General Skyrim LE Support
You mean the optical thingy that movies used to come on? I still have one of those in my computer, but I haven't used it in several years so I'm not sure it still works. -
Windows uses somewhat of a chain of security permissions depending on the permission present in the Security tab. It first tries to use specific permissions for the logged in user (e.g. COMPUTERNAME\JOAT_MON), then CREATOR OWNER if you are the owner of the file or folder, then the user group your are in (which is typically Users unless you are using administrative privileges via the User Account Control dialog in which case it is Administrators). If you have multiple entries for Users, one typically is applied to folders and subfolders and the other one to files. You can see this in the Apply To column in the Advanced dialog. The easiest way to determine what permissions you have is to right click on the folder or file, select Properties, click the Security tab, click the Advanced button at the bottom, then click the Effective Permissions tab. Click Select, enter your user name and click OK. The Effective Permissions tab will now show the specific permissions you have for that file or folder. Of course, the easiest way to find is to run Mod Organizer, open the INI Editor, make a change somewhere, save, and verify the change persists with Notepad or such. I doubt this is the issue though because Mod Organizer will show an error dialog if it can't save the changes.

Inaccurate FPS reading in ENB

Pretty much. By the way, the names are on the border line above the message and avatar. The Dragon King above the avatar is just a reference to the number of posts. -
ENB Boost giving weird camera shake on startup
Greg replied to Terdog's question in Post-Processing Support
You can start with the Skyrim Configuration guide and follow the links to the Skyrim INI guide or SkryimPrefs INI guide. Each section is broken out into its own page so just drill through to find the section you want. -
Are you perhaps running Skyrim Launcher from Mod Organizer at any time? The reason I ask is because the Skyrim Launcher may rewrite the ini files with default settings.

I haven't commented because I prefer to wait to see how this turns out. As GrantSP appropriately notes, Star Trek games have been notoriously bad so I take the trailers with a big grain of salt.

Mod Organizer and Skyproc Missing Masters Errors
Greg replied to salad4k's question in Mod Organizer Support
As far as I am aware, MO2 doesn't support 32-bit games at the moment. Tannin is primarily concentrating on getting everything ironed out for 64-bit games like F04 (and perhaps Skyrim Enhanced). -
Loading an autosave is believed by some to cause issues, but disabling autosave may also cause visual glitches because the engine runs some special rendering logic during the autosave that isn't run at any other time. The DynDOLOD thread has some discussion on this starting at this post. This post from Groovtama goes into some detail on the reason auto and quick saves may take longer with XPMSE.

Can't start game with minimal content at STEP 2.D

I call foul ball and sentence you to the penalty box for a timeout. I could have said exactly the same thing for exactly the same reason. I certainly have no notion that Fallout is a rubbish game, but it isn't my cup of tea. I don't get into post-apocalyptic games or post-apocalyptic movies. I'm the kind of guy that gets into Zork, Oblivion, Skyrim, Star Trek, feel-good movies. It's more about the exploration, discovering, and relationships. For what it's worth, I'm not a Star Wars fan either. There, I said it. May the blood feud begin. I ceased using HP printers about 10 years ago because I think they're all rubbish. I use Brother laser printers that last decades instead of months and don't cost an arm and a leg for consumables.

If you're running from Mod Organizer, use the 32-bit versions of everything. Mod Organizer doesn't support the virtual file system with 64-bit applications.

Some mode simply not appearing in plugins after installation.
Greg replied to Chilrona's question in Mod Organizer Support
Double check the mods in question to verify they actually contain an EPS in the file tree and that it's at the root of the file tree. As far as I know Leanwolf's Better Shaped Weapons doesn't include an ESP. Also make you aren't filtering the right pane with text in the textbox under the right pane grid. -
Pretty much the same thing happens in Skyrim. Sometimes this is intentional (like bouncing off the hard shell of a mudcrab), but I think it's often due to poor physics in the engine. I've seen lots of high-impact arrows bounce off jello in Skyrim. Well, not literally jello, but soft surfaces.

My mistake. I was finally able to get to the guide and see that I merged HD Candle Flames into the main HD Fire Effects mod. I apologize for the confusion.
-
I can't get to the guide right now to verify, but I think Ultimate HD Fire Candles should be skipped (not installed) if you are installing the STEP patches.

The HQ Paper wall map is cut off the same as the table map.

Yes, he does recommend using Clothing and Clutter Fixes to use the female Ulfric outfit and the new color variations of the monk hoods. Perhaps "conflict" wasn't quite the word I should have used here. What I meant is that pretty much everything other these few are pure vanilla.

SKYRIMLE Everything + The Kitchen Sink
Greg replied to Mr_Moal's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
I think seven days generally works well for me because it gives me some time to explore the area, perform a few side quests, and clean out a few caves to build my skills so I'm better prepared to fight the dragon when it finally triggers.- 148 replies

I don't know about the Frostfall question since I've never used it, but you can install XPMSE in place of XP32 Maximum Skeleton without any issues at all. Just select the option for swords on the back when you install Dual Sheath Redux. I seem to recall there's a similar option in the XPMSE installer as well.

Are the ini files in the ModOrganizer/profiles/[profile] folder the same as the ini files in C:\Users\[username]\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim?

Chickens reporting crime to the authorities and now spawned dead chickens? Next thing you know I'll be in a dark dungeon with a Chicken shouting clucks of power. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34005/?

After you reinstall Skyrim, you must run the Skyrim Launcher (don't run it from Mod Organizer) at least once so that it can create the necessary registry entries and ini files. After you've done this, try it again to see if you still have a black screen. If you do have a black screen with no audio/video, let's take this a step at a time to find the root of the problem. Run tesv.exe from Windows Explorer to see if you can start the game. If this doesn't work, double check that you've installed and configured ENBoost correctly and keep poking around until this works. Go on to the next step only once you get this working. Run skse_launcher from Mod Organizer without any other mods to verify this works. If this doesn't work, double check that you've installed and configured SKSE correctly. Once you've verified SKSE is installed and configured correctly, try running skse_launcher from Mod ORganizer with all your mods in place.
