  1. Well, they do look better but they are also much larger than the vanilla so the detail will be clearer. Fine if you want to go for a texture heavy overhaul I guess. Of course with my new system that isn't a problem.
  2. Oh I thought it might be the Python project you mentioned.
  3. Looks good! Any chance of seeing the source code for 2.0?
  4. Reminds me of the Monty Python sketch about the Spanish Inquisition Michael Palin's character, Ximinez, has these lines:
  5. That is truly a great buy. Even converted to Aussie dollars its still cheap!
  6. Has anyone else ever been annoyed by the walk/jog toggle being reset on save reloads? You know the case, you are near the edge of a cliff and save the game for a later date then reload the following day and assume you're going to take a step closer when Geralt hurtles forward and plunges over the edge, all because the damn walk/jog toggle has reverted to default again. I, and apparently the rest of the Internet, can't seem to find a permanent setting for it. Have you?
  7. By "adopting" you mean "keep up the code updates and compatibility for the rest of programme as you won't be spending as much time on that plugin anymore"?
  8. A couple of pages that were given to me to read after I made the change a few months back: Why LOOT is so much better than BOSS LOOT FAQ This link is to the last two questions that are specific to this current discussion.
  9. I genuinely wasn't wanting to sound sarcastic. I only mentioned it because when I first started using LOOT I made a lot of noise about the "wrong" orders that it produced until I actually examined what it was in fact producing and found no issues at all. If I've hit a nerve then I unreservedly apologise.
  10. @Neo it's just your old "BOSS thinking" lingering in your mind, there really isn't any reason to worry overtly about the order LOOT produces. So long as you tell users to run LOOT you will be assured there will be no conflict issues.
  11. :O_o: Is that from Boris?
  12. Never milked a "salty", as a reptile they of course do not possess mammary glands, so the closest would be collecting their eggs, but we do milk Funnel-Web spiders. [spoiler=For SparrowPrince only]Hate is a very harsh word, I don't hate anyone, I get annoyed at people easily, comes from being a crotchety old man. As for you, I actually have great admiration for your skills and appreciate the banter, when I understand it.
  13. While I don't agree with installing ANY tools into the game folders, there is merit to this method. One proviso though, ensure you haven't installed your game into a UAC folder controlled by Windows, such as the default location of: Program Files. Doing so might make access to these tools problematic when it comes to writing/saving files.
  14. Early alpha release of MO is now available on GitHub.
  15. Assuming you installed both MO and any mods you used via MO, then simply removing the MO installation will provide you with a "vanilla" game, or simply run the game from the default launcher. However, looking at your posts and the issues you are facing, you may have leftover junk from your NMM installation and that might be the cause of your issues. In that case a clean sweep of Skyrim and a fresh install may be needed.
  16. All of the xEdit programs (FO3Edit, FNVEdit, etc.) are portable, ie. they don't rely on anyting else to run. So all you need do is replace the existing FO3Edit files with the new ones and you're good to go. So, FO3Edit files then Merge Plugins xEdit Script stuff, just ensure they are the latest. Step D shouldn't be needed for any executable that has the same name and path as the previous version.
  17. Apparently @Tannin has been using an early version of a FO4/MO build for a few days now and has little issue. A release suitable for testing may be in the wind shortly. Now, does anyone want to gift me a copy of FO4? EDIT: That last sentence is only meant in jest, I'm not soliciting for a copy. Thank you to those that did offer though.
  18. Hmm... so what were you calling this new profile? Did it have any extended ASCII characters in it?
  19. The order of those switches does not matter, before or after is fine so long as they are separated by a space.
  20. Leaving aside the tone of your post, this comment implies one of the STEP staff is trying to hide an error to "save face". This just does not happen. We are all well aware that errors can be made and are willing to concede when they are pointed out to us. However if you look at that page and examine the 'History' of edits you will see the last edit to that page was over a month ago and nothing to do with those images. By all means join in the discussion if you wish to contribute something to the wider community of gamers, but please do so in a manner befitting this forum. If you wish to further this discussion please read the STEP Community Citizenship Guidelines found at the bottom of every page.
  21. Okay I see you have also posted in the Nexus forum so disregard my post there to post here! You're already here. Zip up the problematic profile folder and send us the link to it at Copy.com or similar. Clearly there is some mod or setting in that profile that is causing the issue. Or if you want to try and find the issue yourself, examine the mods that are different in these profiles and add them one at time into your working profile until this issue presents itself.
  22. Keep in mind that for some Win 10 users @RoyBatty has stated there is an error that renders that tool useless and he is unable to track it down. You may be in the unlucky few. For all intents and purposes the only switch you need to add to the shortcut is the "laaexe" one, all other switches are just additional parameters to name the patched exe according to your requirements and to use the correct Steam ID for your language. This means English language users really have the least options to explicitly set. The only other input that I can offer is to examine the attributes of the INIs in your MO profile. If the launcher is being called it might be that, for whatever reason, the initial set of INIs are not being read and the game thinks it needs to redo them. As for older versions of MO being better? No, this behaviour would be evident in ALL versions.
  23. According to your logs MO has successfully hooked the patched FalloutNV and provided a working VFS for the game. That 'Windows exception' is nothing to worry about. That's why it is flagged as "INFO" not "DEBUG". All that is showing is an unhandled exception has occurred somewhere, nothing serious. Have you correctly enabled archive handling in MO and sorted the mods in the left-hand pane as well as the plugins in the right-hand pane? Sounds a little like the game is failing to see the assets to create the main menu. So in your profile labelled 'Vale' do you have "Automatic Archive Invalidation" enabled and on the "Archives" tab is MO handling your archives?
  24. Have run the merger tool? Are you sure all the installed mods are currently the 1.11 versions? Also are you absolutely sure that you are running 1.11 and not just have it downloaded and ready? If you use GOG Galaxy that is sometimes the case.
