  1. I completely missed that part of your comment, sorry. What I was thinking though was the changes are being reverted by Notepad++, MO.
  2. Welcome to STEP. This is a similar question to that discussed here. Have a read of this topic when faced with issues that you might experience in the future.
  3. All that comes to mind with matter we've already mentioned so, sorry but I can't think of anything else. You appear to have an issue in your OS that is hindering the .NET framework from being seen. All I can offer now is to make a report in the GitHub issues forum.
  4. What happens with a bare minimum profile with no mods active and fresh copies of INIs in the folder? Maybe a mod is adding something? Not likely but I'm clutching at straws here. Or maybe you have another tool open in memory with the INIs loaded? Notepad++ maybe?
  5. Two other steps to look at. Install MO in a location other than under the Skyrim folder Change the location of the "Downloads" folder in MO's settings.
  6. What settings do you both have that touch BSAs? In the Profile Manager do you have that set to handle Archive Invalidation and in the Workarounds is Force Game files enabled? I have just installed a completely fresh Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas and two installs of MO only the other day and I'm not seeing this. Also all my INIs are not set to RO, nor should they, so that might be something.
  7. @SparrowPrince Where the hell do you go surfing on the net to come up with these quotes and screenshots? Actually on second thoughts, don't tell me. Yes I know that comment above is meant to be taken in jest but, I'm sorry, that justs sticks in my throat and I get riled over content like that. Not against you, but the sick mind that thought that it is funny.
  8. Did you previously have a FNIS version 5.0 or greater installed and you installed 6.0 over it? There was a problem with previous versions where the creature animations were being saved into the actual FNIS folder and therefore would be active in ALL profiles. Aside from that, no, there is no issue with profiles.
  9. I've just now installed FNIS onto a brand new system with all new Skyrim and tools and I don't see this behaviour. This is usually an error with access privileges so I can only suggest you move your Skyrim install out of "Program Files". Other than that I suggest you remove your current FNIS, if you installed version 6.0 over the previous version, and re-install. TBH that shouldn't be an issue but it wouldn't hurt. If your installation is okay and you have no access privilege issues, just ensure the order of the animations is correct and MO has them loading AFTER FNIS with the output from "Overwrite" saved into a new mod and loading after those.
  10. I've moved this to the General section because it is clear from your load order you aren't running a STEP Guided install or is it because you are using MO. The thread you originally posted in is specifically for users running MO AND the STEP modded guide.
  11. Thank you. That being the case I will just grab the pre-rolled set from Nexus then.
  12. Since I now have a machine that can handle greater textures, I thought I'd have a look at the Optimised Textures either through DDSOpt or the pre-rolled versions on Nexus. So first question. According to the description on the Nexus page the following constraints were used to produce those textures: yet according to the DDSOpt guide the constraints should be these: So, which is the preferred setting?
  13. I've recently built a new Windows 10 system and only today have I gotten around to installing MO and Skyrim. There is no issue with my computer with regard to .NET errors. Steam correctly installs .NET 3.5 when you choose to run Skyrim for the first time and MO calls the external installer when SkyUI is installed. There has to be some deeper issues with your OS that you will need to investigate in order to solve this error.
  14. It will be a relic from one of the menu files in either FWE, Darn or some other. I have seen this on occasions and it makes no difference to play.
  15. Nothing to do with MO and everything to do with Nexus and/or your ISP.
  16. Apologies, your posts seem to have slipped through the net. There isn't really too much difficulty in installing these mods. Immersive Interiors will install as per normal and All Natural can likewise be installed with MO, so long as you know which files/folders to move around in the "manual install" dialogue. It's readme has a section on manual installation that you can read to figure that out. As to the "import cells" function from Wrye Bash, that too should be handled in exactly the same way as any other time you create a 'bashed patch' with WB from within MO. The guide has a section on WB and there are plenty of threads explaining what you need to do with regard to creating/updating those.
  17. As mentioned in the other topic (in future you should refrain from making multiple topics asking the same question) the modded game should be created from the folders in the MO installation and this is all that is necessary.
  18. Personally I see no benefit in backing up the Skyrim, or any game, installation. There should be no changes made to these folders if MO is used and even if you use an ENB they should likewise be added in after the move. Simply re-install Steam and your game and then copy back to another location your saved MO install. As for the various tools used by these games such as LOOT, xEdit, etc. Again the simply nature of these tools means you don't really gain anything from making backups of their installs, all of them are so easy to re-install afresh that the effort in making backups seems redundant. The biggest issue most users face when moving their installs, or at least the biggest perceived issue, is the mod setup. Since this is handled by the files in MO's profiles system, and the actual mod files themselves, making backups of MO's "profiles, mods and downloads" folders seems to be the only truly necessary option.
  19. I may have found a reason for my problems, may have! Everyone's heard of the 'Disglair' right, an awesome sword that deals plenty of damage. Well obviously that is a sword for later on as the level reqs prohibit its use in the early game, but somehow I managed to come across a sword named 'Disglair' and I naturally assumed it was this sword and I could deal out some major damage. Apparently not. I've just checked again the sword I have is only lvl 1 and does just over 100 damage, nothing like I was imagining I was doing. I have no recollection of where it came from or if it is a bug in my game. This has forced me to redo my game. I'm going back to the start and going to focus on the BEST weapons and armour I can use to try and stop this damn one-shot hell I'm getting. One last thing. That werewolf quest with the love-triangle relationship. Watching runthroughs on YouTube show it regenerating at a very reasonable rate, something that I could handle but when I actually battle him I have a very different experience. I can successfully get him down to almost 10% of his health and when I roll away to bring up "Quen" again his health just races back to full and now I can't even hit him! This doesn't seem right to me. Anyone else seen this?
  20. Welcome to STEP @TylerTech MO is a fully portable application so as long as ALL the folders are correctly addressed in the INI you should have a working installation for managing Skyrim. If Skyrim can be started and loads correctly then the registry settings should also be correctly set and all will be fine. If your current method isn't working, simply install a fresh MO somewhere on your system, preferrably away from UAC folders like "Program Files" and start it. If Skyrim is correctly setup you will be presented with the game selector dialogue where you should choose 'Skyrim' when asked. If this dialogue does not appear then you have an issue with your Skyrim install. If all of that fails then there is something stopping the MO executable from continuing and you should start Windows event viewer, or similar, to see what is hindering it. Possibly an overly zealous AV package.
  21. Welcome to STEP, you will never find any n00b hate offered here! I have to ask a question though because I don't really understand the problem. What do you mean about: Are you not always using MO to launch the game? Trying to launch your modded game via Steam will never work if you have used MO to manage your mods as they won't be in the 'Data' folder.
  22. Not sure, my bet would be 'not able to'.
  23. That may be an over-simplified example. but yeah, if you currently have the level(s) for that 'Perk' you don't need the earlier ones to access it. Gopher is my go-to guy for this knowledge.
  24. Nice, now I don't know whether to thank you or curse you for highlighting my ineptitude! My fingers haven't learnt the "dodge" combo yet. I'm using "rolling" all the time. I think I'm going to delete the last few saves and remove the debug-console and try again at this stage. If others can do this at level 5 then I'll be damned if I can't. Thank you to all for your input, and the fact you haven't chastised me for cheating. I can do that myself. I just have to say this again: Witcher3 is the best game I have played ever. Excellent graphics, fluid gameplay, fantastic storylines, brilliant voice acting, ...
  25. If I recall correctly, you don't have to pick the earlier level Perks to get access to a high level one with FO4. e.g. with 7 in Endurance you can go for "Adamantium Skeleton" without having to pick any of the others in that column, if you so desire.
