This question was posed on the GitHub issues page and @Tannin has provided his take on it.

I'm not sure that's all it is. Try all the other "Fallout" games and see a lot of listings that shouldn't be there.
-
Might be a bit of work that needs to be done with the forum selection software on these tags. Choosing the respective game tag, ie. Fallout 4, provides a listing of a lot of games from both Fallout 3 and NV. There are already at least 3 mods listed with this tag yet none show when you choose this selector.

Please read this topic! Also this topic should be read before posting ANYTHING that you come across. In this case you would have seen the topic already.

FO3Edit creates dlcs backup, but ovewrite is empty
GrantSP replied to icetbr's topic in Fallout 3 - Clear & Present Danger
So... for you the ESMs remained in the Data folder? Could provide version numbers for both xEdit and MO? -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
GrantSP replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
That's right. Since the "Cleaned Master Files" mod only contains the cleaned ESMs, which don't exist in the UHRP, nothing can be shown as overwriting anything else. If you examine the "Data" tab in MO you will see which mod is provided what files for the game. As an example open the "Data" tab and navigate to: textures\_byoh\clutter\resources\and have a look at the last few listings. Notice "stonequarry01.dds" is being provided by the UHRP and the others are from the HiRes packs. Hovering you mouse over that listing will also show which mods are also providing that file, but losing the conflict. -
Looking a the file structure of the second download, it appears the only issue is the directory structure. The files are just archived in the top level of the file whereas the first download has them in a specific folder structure: Sound\Songs\Mojaveextend\Perhaps if you create a folder structure similar to that and run the *.bat on it that way. What error messages if any where presented to you when you went to install the second download file? Or where did you instruct MO to place them?

FO3Edit creates dlcs backup, but ovewrite is empty
GrantSP replied to icetbr's topic in Fallout 3 - Clear & Present Danger
Did you have the "Backup Plugins" option enabled in xEdit? What should happen is the new "cleaned" plugin AND a folder with the backup(s) should appear in the overwrite folder and the original plugin(s) will be missing from Data. From here you either return the backup plugin(s) to Data and have the new one(s) in a mod created inside MO, or simply move the clean plugin(s) into the Data folder. There is also some variance with how this works depending on the versions of MO and xEdit and apparently the speed of the drive(s) they are writing to. -
So sad, just watched the YouTube clip and my expectations for FO4 have just sunk completely. Maybe Witcher 3 has enlightened me to how a game CAN play and look, or maybe I'm just now realising what Bethesda has been dishing up. That just looks awful! Game mechanics and visuals are too... gamey. I think I will be putting off getting it for a while, wait for some decent mods arrive to once again fix the game.

It's no so much the "launching" being the issue, more of the "hooking" of the executables to see the VFS. They have to be tricked in to seeing paths and files in different locations than what they really are, that's the tricky bit.

This is a good idea IMO.

[ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
GrantSP replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
Assuming you had FNIS working correctly beforehand there is nothing special you need do with the new version. Just install the latest version into MO as you have with previous versions and ensure the paths to the executable are correctly set so MO can use them. Run FNIS and create a mod from the 'Overwrite' folder as you have done before. Activate it and the new FNIS plugin and the game will just work. The actual process of running FNIS and creating a mod from the output has been discussed many times before so there is no need to re-iterate it here. -
Hmm, must have changed that recently or I'm thinking of something else.

DROPPED NARC - No Animals Report Crimes (by Pharros)

Clearly you guys have never seen an episode of Skippy! -
So I'm in my 2nd playthrough, after scrapping the first one due to some issues, and I am back to this quest and even though the 1.11 patch was said to address an issue with this, I am still getting this unkillable bandit. Anyone else seeing this? On a somewhat related matter I cannot seem to log on to the CDProjektRed forums to post my findings. Constantly am thrown back to the login dialogue. GOG's support fora are next to useless and I don't know where else to report this. Are there any other places that the developers check?
-
If you have a Google account, most people do, you can log on with that.

Application load error 5 0000065434 with MO
GrantSP replied to dreamer1986's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
No, you're not alone in this, just that it isn't specific to F&LNV so you might find more information in the MO thread. I have never experienced this but have seen a few users that have. -
If you truly believe this is an issue, and you want to hear @Tannin's input then you really should make a report on his GitHub page.

Application load error 5 0000065434 with MO
GrantSP replied to dreamer1986's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Your posts are very vague as to what you are running but since the error number (0000065434) mentioned in relation to MO is usually to do with Steam, you probably had an update recently and Steam needs to set itself up correctly again in the registry. Running the default vanilla launcher from the desktop should set those correctly, again. If doing so fails to rectify it for you please post your issue in the MO forum and not here, as this isn't specifically an F&LNV issue. PS. No support will be offered for cracked versions. -
If you DO NOT have Automatic Archive Invalidation set for that profile then these lines are added. If you DO then they are removed. I may have misread you opening post and assumed you are talking about a profile that hasn't been changed that is somehow switching these settings, but if what you are actually saying is you don't recall making those changes then that is why they are shown. So just check each profile to ensure you have it enabled where you want it and disabled where you don't.
-
I'm merely highlighting that the more likely scenario is that another tool is adding these lines into the INIs. MO, of itself, doesn't do this. If not Notepad++ reloading a previous version then perhaps a Wrye Bash setting is somehow being added in each time that profile is loaded. Something is adding them, I just don't think it's MO. Eliminate as many variables as possible to find out which it is.
