  1. Whatever you consider the best. Your reasoning sounds fine to me about this matter.
  2. Since those applications are specific to tablet PCs or those with touchscreens I'm not surprised that STEP has very few mentions of them. I'd hazard a guess there would be less than 1% of STEP users with a system like that for gaming.
  3. What sort of problems are you having with Windows/NifSkope? I see no errors when using them.
  4. Not sure how this a MO issue? Care to elaborate why you asked it here? Otherwise I'll move it to the General section.
  5. I suggest you examine the excellent work of @EssArrBee with his FNV guide. All the mods you describe are used and the installation, setup and ordering of mods and plugins is detailed for you.
  6. Can't help you with Immersive Animations as I don't use it. As your screenshot shows though, it is overriding PCA but it itself is being overridden by XP32, that seems odd to me, I'd place XP32 first and use the animations from either PCA or IA. I would also question the need for all these animation mods, the more you add in, the more taxing on your game, let alone the need to get them ordered and functioning. It may well be the case that a set from one mod is what you want but a set from another is loading because of a different set from the same mod is also what you want. Know way of knowing unless you examine the individual animation sets. If that is the case you will need to determine which animation sets you want and hide those in the mod that is winning the conflict but not the mod you want to win. There is no need in game for FNIS spells. It is just a showcase of what CAN be done. Lastly all of this hasn't even touched on how you have DSR ordered and whether it is functioning properly. The stipulation I provided for FNIS to have it's own 'profile specific' output is even more important with DSR. Each profile MUST use the plugin created for that set of animations. For each profile you need to run the "proccer" and you MUST have the previous profile's DSR output disabled or else it will be edited and you will lose all the previous functionality.
  7. You should provide exact details about which mods are not playing nice for you, as I can assure you there are NO mods that cannot be installed via MO. Keeping those mods in data will only provide more headaches in the future.
  8. That's not what I'm seeing. Only one menu file is installed and I haven't yet checked which version it is for. Also that note about changing the installer to external and then back again may be for an outdated fomod installer in MO. As noted I see no difference in the result whatsoever.
  9. I get the same result regardless of whether the internal or external fomod installer is used. The texture folders won't impact on the game, the unused folders will just sit there doing nothing and you could easily hide or remove them if needed. However the menu files are another matter. It would entail doing a check of the installed map_menu.xml compared to ALL the versions inside the archive to see which is installed. (they are all the same size so it needs to be content based, not filesize) UIO is a FOSE plugin and this means it doesn't matter where in the load order it is placed as the DLL will load into the game BEFORE any mods are added. I have no idea about mipmaps.
  10. Each MO profile must have it's own matching FNIS output mod for that specific set of animations. e.g. MO profile called Tester1 must have a FNIS output (the files created by FNIS after running the tool) called something specific to that profile: FNIS-Output-Tester1 MO profile called Tester2 has FNIS-Output-Tester2 etc.The output must match EXACTLY the set of animation used when FNIS was run last. However there is an issue with some mods from LL that causes T-poses or incorrect animations when switching profiles because the animations used by FNIS are removed after the output is generated. Sorry but there is no current fix for this besides reinstalling each animation mod and FNIS upon switching profiles. It is due to the packaging of some of those mods. The other issues you mention are to do with load order and I suggest you examine one of the guides here in STEP to see the correct placement.
  11. Open MO's settings and examine the paths to the "downloads" & "mods" folders. If they currently are not pointing to the correct location then adjust them to look to where you now have them. MO, by default, places them in folders under the main MO install but if you in the past changed that then the paths are stored in the INI and will still be pointing to the old location. Additionally your screenshot shows you have a number of mods installed directly into the Data folder of the game. It is recommended to remove these and install them via MO. As the prefix to those mods show thay are currently "Unmanaged" and you will have issues with conflicts with other mods if you keep them there. If you have similar a setup with your Skyrim install I firmly suggest you rectify this as any advice on mod issues from us will be on the basis that ALL mods are managed by MO.
  12. Not a problem or an issue. The MO documentation covers all of this and I recommend a read through at least once to acquaint yourself with these things.
  13. OP mentions he is using NMM, not MO, so this isn't applicable. @craaaaay1 You'll have to check the NMM documentation perhaps that tool places it's saves in another location.
  14. Did you miss my post earlier about this?
  15. Have you raised this with the Nexus admins? I think perhaps instead of us dealing with 'if, buts and maybes', they should perhaps make the determination, after all that is in their realm of oversight.
  16. The license agreement actually says: I've highlighted the appropriate clause.
  17. You have an open topic discussing this, therefore there is no need to duplicate the discussion here.
  18. Have a look at that page now and let us know if it is easier to understand?
  19. Be careful with following this advice as looks to be based on an error on the user's part. The page that hosts these STEP downloads contains different files for different purposes but MO pulls the recommended name for the mod from the same page so you may, as @aba42 did, install the STEP Optimized Vanilla Textures and then when you install the STEP Compilation Installer or vice versa, and MO will use the name chosen on the first install. So perhaps the OP and you are experiencing the same issue where the BSA you are looking for is gone because the containing mod was replaced with the later install? If that was not the issue you were looking to solve just check that everything you expect to see is in fact there.
  20. Crashdumps, by their very nature, are describing what went wrong within a compiled executable, ie. *.exe, *.dll, when it crashes and are very useful for diagnosing where the code in those applications is messing up. Since the only ones that can make edits to those files are usually the actual teams that create them, there is next to no need I can see why the average gamer will need them. If they have been asked to generate them and send them to the teams involved, fine, but for general diagnostic purposes all you have is a vague idea where the error is but no way to fix it yourself.
  21. Welcome to STEP @tjax323 For everyday users minidumps are not much use, they are specifically designed to be read by the programmers of the code that generated it, in this case the SKSE team. This is because you need to have the Symbols Package for the compiler that compiled that code and a means to read the dump in a debugger along with the installed symbols. For gamers the best course of action is to follow some simple guidelines such those we have compiled here which look at general reasons for CTDs, ILSs and other common issues. A brief look through the translated minidump though does show you experiencing some memory issues where a section of code was trying to reference some memory and failing. This leads me to conclude you may be seeing the very common problem with regards to memory allocation as defined in the SKSE INI. The very first post in that topic addresses the way to diagnose/fix that.
  22. Watch this small screen grab to see what to do. This will download the file which contains all you need to get started.
  23. Read this article today about the effects of space flight on the human body and lamented on the fact that if only the reverse were true I'd be two thirds of the way to being an astronaut!! Which two thirds? You can decide.
  24. At the top of the GitHub page there ar eseries of links, choose the "Releases" one and then select the Windows specific version for your system. A download will occur where you will need to extract it and follow any instructions it contains. Be sure NOT to follow the link in their readme as it goes to a broken page. The previous owner of the repo worked only on Linux boxes and the current owner has expanded to ALL systems. PS. I do not use this tool, just following my GitHub instincts.
