  1. In general, when I put a new mod into the mix, I try to keep 'types' of mods together and in alphabetical order on the left pane of MO. In this case, the two Notice board would go in Gameplay, Animations in ... well, animations, and the two Killmove mods would be in animations as well, I think. Regardless, so far as the right pane goes, LOOT should sort that out correctly. Hardly a step by step set of instructions, I know, but it's a place to start from, and if something doesn't work right, at least you'll have a place to start from.
  2. I also feel compelled to point out it's been essentially abandoned. As best I can tell, no work has been done since November 2013, and even the comment sections recent posts are more asking about a completely separate mod of the authors (which have gone unanswered). On top of that, and from my own perspective, I'm not really sure I like the look - the armor looks like it's been left to rot, for the most part, given the huge number of cracks and such that appear to be on the armor. I'll give this one a pass.
  3. Insofar as your theory is concerned, I'm thinking yours may be a fringe case of come kind. I've been running the two alongside each other from the beginning of CACO, and apart from an initial incompatibility re: iNeed's waterskins, which Krypt fixed within days, I've had no problems with their interactions. Certainly nothing like what you report, and my load list is significantly expanded from STEP:Extended.
  4. What Grant said. As long as MO and all your mods, tools and so forth are on the separate drive (which it sounded like) all you should have to do is reinstall and run Skyrim, then go back to the other programs, which should pick up on the updated registry locations.
  5. By which he means 'same shot/angle/location side-by-side with the other setups for direct one-button comparisons. There's a lot of work there, and I appreciate the effort - it's more than I've done - just very difficult to do the comparison we'd need to do.
  6. Combination of two mods, actually. The first is CACO, which changed a lot of the native 'ID's for food items. The second (and the one providing the message) is iNeed, which has a built in feature that handles food/drink items that are mod added (IE, it looks for non-native food/drink IDs) and asks what kind of food drink it is so that it knows if they are available for consumption through it's automatic food/drink selection process. It handles this on a per-character basis, so any new game will have you setting those items up again.
  7. Ahhh, Real Life... how I hate thee and they constant demands for our time. Understand all, Tech. As always, when we get to it. :)
  8. Depending on what he does with those, this may be the easy way to get the EotW Robes out of the lineup I run... one less mod to worry about, so to speak. Either way, I know this was marked for testing, but has it gone anywhere else since then?
  9. Krypto - is there no longer a need for the CACO-CCOR patch? I notice it's no longer to be found in the CACO patches download.
  10. Not sure that some of these are the same ones as this. To the best of my knowledge, which is admittedly spotty at times, there are two separate map textures. This one is specific to the one that have the little flags on it (using these flags adds those locations to your FT map as well, IIRC). I stand by my original statement so far as how often that one shows up - very infrequently, and in places where I am not normally drawn to. I don't use followers, cause they suck at stealth, and the other locations where this specific one shows up are not in my normal travel routes, as I noted previously. Let me be clear - I'm not against the look of it at all. But with everything else on my plate, I'm not going to spend additional space on something I'll never normally really notice. Sixx, I love ya, but you need to read ALL posts before posting like this. I'd already admitted I'd screwed up my original statement - there was no need to have a lagged statement like that. :p
  11. Not out of the way places, sorta. Rarely do I ascend the steps up to the loft area of Dragonsreach, and almost never do I go to the side room off of the throne rooms of Windhelm. The locations aren't out of the way, but the specific place IN those locations kinda is. They MIGHT be in war camps - I don't really know because, oddly enough, I don't usually spend more than fifteen seconds IN a war camp. I usually am there only to pick up the next quest in the line, then move on, so the same applies in a way. From the technical standpoint, Harp may well be right, however. So I'll accept that, in that instance, I MAY have had no clue what I was talking about. Possibly. Maybe. I guess. :)
  12. I'm good with that mindset. As I told a mod author over on KSP a few days ago, this is your show - I'm just curious what happens in the next act. :)
  13. Off Topic: Why were Episodes 4, 5, and 6 done before 1, 2, and 3? Because in charge of writing, Yoda was. On Topic: Looks good, but not sure I want to spend the RAM on a texture that shows up a grand total of two times. I'll be debating this one.
  14. Already had this in, but haven't had time to test it yet. My only concern wont be the stones themselves, but thier affect on the dungeons and such that derive thier textures from these same textures. Gam mentions this in his description, but worth mentioning again for those who missed that.
  15. I like stuff that makes sense. This makes sense. Thus, short of game breaking errors, I like this. In short - you steal stuff and nobody sees you do it, it's not marked as stolen in your inventory. It has a 500G limit to this, the idea being anything more valuable than this will likely be pretty easily identifiable, and the original owner will likely put more effort into seeing it retrieved. Link here.
  16. Not sure I agree with you about the belts, Baron. Yes, the stitching could be slightly less white, but it's not the eyesore you make it out to be. Especially as compared to the original textures, there is no real comparison. I think the leather may be a little busy as a texture... just too many 'crinkles' in too small a space, almost like an over repeating texture... but even that is so far beyond the original that this seems a no-brainer to me.
  17. With regards to your second point, you misrepresent what I said. At no point did I say 'broken or immersion breaking'. Broken or bugged only - immersion is a distant second in consideration. I understand where you are coming from, but my problem (and, I believe, most others) isn't the fact that it makes them 'beautiful', it's rather the style that it uses to make them so. You point out that beauty is relative to the people and time - I don't disagree. The problem is you are applying 'this' time's and 'this' era's standards to 'their' time and standards. While this obviously doesn't account for the portions of the population that should be overweight or what not, the standards of beauty you say should apply already exist in the game - we just wouldn't see it as such because our own standards are so much different from what those living in that world's standards are. It's all moot, really... I don't think this debate is ever going to change the base reply as to it's inclusion in STEP - it simply does not meet the mandate. Despite that, as I also mentioned, STEP is a place to start from, not an end goal, and there is nothing preventing us from using it anyhow. With regards to your third question, what, specifically, did you want to know about my load order?
  18. Also also note that thier names are not 'Jarl' and 'Akatosh'.... that would be (in order) Greg and TechAngel. The former are their forum ranks. :)
  19. 1) Have you considered that 'the Fair' may not be a reference to her looks, but to her application of the Law? 2) As noted, so far as STEP is concerned, the metric is Vanilla. As close to vanilla as possible, while looking better than vanilla. The one exception to this is with regards to items that we (collectively) believe to be bugs or errors, in which case the mod that makes the most sense to fix the perceived bug (and has best compatibility) wins. 3) All that said, I run a slightly modified version of the Bijin set myself (modified to prevent nudity and for mod compatibility). I've gotten used to them over time, but even so, as compared to the vanilla, they are a severe departure. I like them (obviously), but I am also well aware it doesn't come even close to the STEP mandate. The great thing about STEP, however, is that it's a baseline... not a take-it-or-leave-it affair. By all means, keep your women un-naturally pretty - that's your affair and your choice. But to petition for these mods inclusion in STEP is... well, just not going to happen, I'd say.
  20. I'm more interested in how you seemed to lose it twice! :) The opacity slider would be nice, but it's still a good and quick check before you pick something up... less time in menus is always a good thing. It's still fairly minimalistic, and since it only shows when you are in range to pick up an item anyhow, it's not there the vast majority of a playthrough. No brainer in my mind.
  21. Gam seems to have been very responsive to suggestions and recommendations before... see no reason why he wouldn't be now. Even if he doesn't, I'm not sure it's enough of an eyesore that I'd want to hide it though. It's still a marked improvement over vanilla.
  22. A) Yes. Yes it is. And thank heavens for it - I hate torches period. I know that STEP has a mod or two to make managing them more user friendly, but I really can't stand them in any shape or form, so... yeah. B) No, it isn't, and isn't likely to, I would guess.
  23. Running standard Vividian Vivid, and the numbers you posted are roughly what I see - only get lower FPS in the normal areas like around Riverwood (though I run ETAC as well, so that may well be the drop there).
  24. We probably want to get back on topic - Tech is pretty lenient, but we're really starting to have a discussion that's way off base here. I know I'm as much to blame for that as anything, but...
  25. Thank you, Neo, for finding a PC way to put that...
