It was a clean install, but mostly because I was changing to Vivid Weathers. It replaced a whole bunch of mods in my LO, so a new DynDOLOD run was needed, and there was no way I was going to do that mid-game.

I've thrown in Elemental Destruction Magic (not on my main system at the moment - sorry for the lack of link), which adds in Earth, Wind, and Water magics on essentially a One-for-One match-up with the other elemental Destruction spells. They have their own secondary effects as well, which could give you some of the depth you seek without going completely overboard. Since this discussion started, I'm also trying out another mod to scale damage with levels, among other things, to see if that makes a pure mage more feasible without having to resort to weapons in anything except a huge melee. I'll report back on that when I've had a chance to test. -

Up close, I agree... to green. Blended in the background though - works pretty well there. Also, would not LODGen take care of those? I know there used to be some kind of procedure for generating tree LOD using DynDOLOD... or at least, I seem to recall it. Also, and slightly off topic, I know, please forgive... why DO we still use 1.87 instead of 2? I know he has versions of 2 without the huge trees that we didn't want. -

I was wondering why it ended up as a master for DynDOLOD. Now I know. I'll have to go looking for those trees - I don't recall seeing them, and I've been around Riverwood a lot lately. Can a get a screen or some such? -

You sure? Where is this tree? I've never noticed anything new in that regard. I mean, I know you're just about a Modding God, but are you absolutely certain it's from this? -
Love the new horse shapes and what not. And the auto-loot function of CH will not be missed by me - something I always turned off. I've already made the swap, and for the moment I have no intention of turning back. Followers are of no importance to me - all they ever do is get in the way of my bow shots and tell everyone where I'm sneaking.

So what we may also need, in conjunction with this mod, is another one that dials down the spell costs OR dials up the Destruction damage. I'd be fine with that - honestly, the inability to play as a pure mage is pretty obvious from the start of the game (the Stormcloaks in Helgen Keep in the big room with the stream in it is best for this...), and is one of the reasons I've never seriously tried it. I know there are myriad mods out there that screw with magic to one degree or another - maybe it's time to find one that's limited enough to make Magery possible without being far too overpowered. Based on the last few comments, I'm borderline ready to call this a 'bug' or oversight by Bethesda, which would make such a mod's inclusion Core material. But that's for another discussion. -

YAY! It's like Christmas, Birthday, and 11-11-11 all in one... but with more pretties. Thanks for this Manga... truly, thanks. Question on this: Vivid Weather replaces the need for the Clouds and Fogs addon to Vividian, correct? It makes sense for it to, but I like to be certain, as I didn't see it mentioned specifically. -

Manga - do I understand you correctly from the Nexus comments that an update to Vividian is forthcoming that will be compatible with this? Having messed with the ENB that came with this, which, as noted, is pretty bare bones, I'd love to get the Vivid Vividian look to work with these weathers... the ease of use is fantastic, and the number of mods I was able to get rid of in favor of this was pretty long. If not, no problem, I'll wait for the beefed up version... it may be bare bones, but it's certainly not horrible by any means. Though you may want to be sure Sovngard get's covered - I saw a post where you mentioned it wasn't, and I would hate to see that eyesore in it's natural vanilla state again. -

Sooo.... yes, it's a replacement, and I can alter the colors to suit in the MCM. I think that's what I got out of that. So, guess it's time to Rebuild Skyrim yet again! JOY! -

From my read, this is, in essence, a complete replacement for Vividian ENB as well, yes? Assuming you use the ENB files for VW, which would only make sense. If that's the case, does it still have the Vivid coloration variant, or is this closer to the Vanilla variant? -
I dunno about that Octo - I think it hits a nice balance. The darkness of it is fine in my estimation - too light, and I'd think that the people of Skyrim actually did LAUNDRY every day or something. That's can't be true, since I've yet to see a SINGLE clothesline.

Ahhhhh, somehow I missed that CoS was put into the same category type as Bandolier and such. Thought I still needed the esp active from CoS to use it. Thanks for this - I honestly should have thought of trying this. -

Quite possibly - I'd never thought about it WRT enchanted weapons before.... I usually sell duplicates long before I do any restart of the game, so I never noticed before. -

For your second issue, Mid, that is a noted issue on the Mod's page... However, it also posted a solution, IE, the next time your game loads, all player-made potions stack properly (the ones in your inventory when you reload.) Not sure what the technical reason is, but it's a minor problem that is easily ignored. -

Been running it since it was originally posted, and it does fit better. If we could make it 'better' (yes, it's a relative thing, but hey... what about STEP isn't?) then I think it's something to look at, especially if we're looking to add in something that wasn't there originally, but makes sense to include. -
That sounds a lot like you need to re-run FNIS... T-Pose is almost a classic indicator of it. Even so, you are likely correct that you need to update most everything.
