  1. Well, kills that for me. I have too many mods I enjoy that rely on SKSE and the like to switch to SE, so this is a non-starter for me.
  2. Yeah - I got that. *shrug* Mod confusion - another Skyrim psychosis we all suffer from. :) Based on the *revised* information (*glare at Tech*), I'd say it's worth a look once ICAIO compatibility is fixed. Until then...
  3. You referring to the Mod Picker thing? I haven't really looked into it, though I have seen portions of your discussion with Mator. If that's not what you refer to, then, in Bugs Bunny's words, "What's up, doc?"
  4. Torrents are no goes... we did that once for a specific mod for a bit, and among other reasons, the fact it was a torrent was one of the reasons that mod was eventually dropped. Thanks for the efforts though... I use FAR myself, and between that and Cover Khajits, BBM just isn't needed anymore.
  5. I can provide a few of the answers you are looking for... though not all. So" iNeed is perfectly functional, and probably more so than when you last saw it. Anything added by other mods in the foods category that iNeed doesn't recognize will pop a screen up to ask what it is and how it should be handled. So no issues with it's interface with STEP Core or Extended. I use this one myself extensively, and have never had any issues with it. There isn't a whole lot you can do regarding the radiant quests - I find them tedious and pointless for the most part, especially once you've gotten further into the questlines and they become almost insulting to your position. That said, you've already mentioned one of my Go-To mods for this, ESF - Companions Guild. I would recommend a trio of mods to help out with the College, specifically "Better College Application" (60061 mod ID on Nexus), "College Days - Winterhold" (56699), and "College of Winterhold Entry Requirements" (38448). Between those three, it makes the college a bit more what I envision for a bunch of snotty mages, and may work for you as well. For the Thieves Guild, in addition to the STEP recommendation of "Thieves Guild Entry Requirements", I would also add "Localized Thieves Guild Jobs" (14509) which will allow you to chose what city the radiant quest will occur in, which will at least make them slightly less annoying. First, this works fine with iNeed, Campfire, and Frostfall, and all four of them can be run with minimal issues. CACO does a lot of messing about with food and alchemy items, but iNeed handles this in it's own way (as mentioned earlier), and thus there's no real problem. There MAY be a patch or two needed (been a while since I installed all this), but they are all availiable on the CACO page (or the other mod pages, as applicable), and are easily integrated. Wish I could give insight into the other questions you have, but here's what I do have. Happy modding.
  6. Which all sounds good, until you click the link and get "File Not Found". Was it removed?
  7. So this mod fixes an issue with NEC that has already been fixed? No offense meant to the author, as it's obvious he put a lot of passion and work into this, but as NEC hasn't updated in any significant way in quite some time, I have to wonder what version of it he based his write-up on and, more specifically, how long ago he acquired it.
  8. Happy to see we're still here... though I had hoped there would be a new version on the guide by now. Dunno that I'll be as active as I was previous, Tech, as I'm working on the final phases of my USN retirement and have a LOT on my plate, but I'll still be in from time to time.
  9. Solution Found: Mod conflict. Specifically, LAL and an overhaul of the opening Helgen scene were fighting each other... which may explain the Nord singing, now that I think on it. The second mod updated since the last time I used it, and that update ended up causing the conflict. Warn Skyrim - I have returned. Again. For the Upteenth time. OK, maybe htey aren't so much warned as resigned...
  10. Saw it with the Main STEP guide as well this morning. Still hasn't cleared up. Maybe a server issue? But no, don't recall seeing this in a year or so.
  11. Done, naturally - can't start it through MO without the registries being created, and that means a vanilla start w/o mods after download. You don't need to go further than the menu itself (or at least, I never needed to previous), so yeah... done.
  12. First, hey guys. I'm back - been real busy in RL with my current command and upcoming retirement, plus a bunch of other stuff. But I'm finally coming back to get lost in Skyrim again. Apparently, it's pissed off at me, because it no workie workie. So, specifics: A) Since my last play-through, I've gotten a new system. I transferred all my mods from the old system to the new, reorganized them in MO, and updated them where needed. B) Regenerated all patches (Bashed, TexGen, DynDOLOD, DSR) from scratch, just to be certain that there is no issue with those. C) Started game... menu screen came up as expected, complete with wonderful spinning emblem. D) Selected New Game. Nords grunt, hear a paper turning sound, and the emblem spins... and spins... and spins... while being serenaded by a Nord Choir about the glories of the Dovahkin. I know this setup and lineup worked when I last ran it, and usually updates don't change the functionality enough to cause issues... and when they do, it's usually CTD, not Eternal Choir. So, yeah... new one on me. Any thoughts on places to look for this error?
  13. Kinda with Nazeen on this one - it's done so well, you'd think it was part of the game to start.
  14. Have the villagers ever formed a lynch mob to get the villagers? Maybe we should... Oh, and installed. :)
  15. Well... I guess you could add the functionality and re-release - he specifically called out that as part of the MIT license, so... Of course, that DOES mean you'd have to know HOW to do that, and I clearly don't, as I'm pretty sure it's magic.
  16. Chesko is at it again - haven't messed with this in game, but as an alternative to hotkeys for weapon switching (doesn't do spells, just weapons/shields) it may be a nice addition. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/77233/? Apparently, he did some black magic and wrote this in about 2 hours, and then 6 hours of polishing. He even posted then entire process in video form (he was live-streaming it... O.o ). I am now more convinced than ever that Chesko must have a pact with the Daedra - it's the only possible explanation.
  17. I'm with Tech on this one - the quality difference between Gam's textures and the original and HRDLC versions simply defies words. They look right in game, they don't stick out in any way that I've seen, and I simply can't go back to the old ugly. Core to the bone.
  18. I prob'ly missed it... but if I understand your descrip page correctly, Gamwich, the HF retexs are now done then, as you've started on DG?
  19. Was that pre-version 2? The new version restores further content specific to the Stormcloaks... apparently, Ulfric was meant to be part of the escaping party as well.
  20. V2.1 looks pretty decent. Puts some replacement dialogue in for Hadvar at the standing stones from other lines that actor recorded... it's pretty non-specific ("Look at this!" "Wow!") but it does fill the silence well enough. Haven't tried the Stormcloak side yet, but it looks like Tech prefers that side to the Imperials (wierd-o), so I'm imagining that he'll get a good look at that fairly soon? Maybe? Hopefully? :)
  21. I acknowledge the second point without retracting the first. When you publicly state you hope someone else will fork your mod and make the corrections so you won't have to? I'd understand saying something to the effect of "Don't wanna so I won't", but that other is just... lazy. *shrug* Now, if he'd put it more as "I'm very busy with other projects and RL commitments, and don't have the time... etc" then I think we're back onto not lazy... but that's not what I hear when I read that comment. (As a side note, read that last part of that sentence a few times, and shake your head in amazement as you realize we can now hear written words on the interwebz.) (Also, that last sentence about being too busy, in reality, is most likely the actual reason, I think...)
  22. Best of both worlds? Count me in.
  23. Lazyness at it's finest... worst... normal state. For my own info... what do those mods actually do, and how do they conflict?
  24. Version 2 has been released, which fixes a few timing issues, the argument 'tween Tullius and Elenwen, and apparently restores something to the Stormcloak side of the escape - Ulfric escaping with you and Ralof. Haven't played this yet, and some are reporting issues with this last part (mostly that he isn't there...).
  25. "HEY! ULFRIC! YOU'RE THE REASON WE'RE HERE!" In his face. Not even inches from his face. And Ulfric... does nothing. Shows his real attitude at that moment - hopelessness. Kind of helps set the mood. Honestly, I think it just needs those missing lines, and it's a shoe in.
