This is from the FAQ: Q: I set Mod Organizer to automatically extract BSAs, and now I want to change this. How do I reset this setting? A: Go to the Settings menu by clicking the wrench icon in the toolbar. Click Reset Dialogs and click yes at the prompt. Try that.

You might reinstall the mod and don't unpack the BSA.

Poor performance after fresh install of 2.2.8 Extended.
EssArrBee replied to vile83r's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Opening carriage ride is murder on the system and not indicative of the performance that you will get throughout the game. Did you go to other parts of the world and see if performance was better? Also, did you maybe have an FPS limiter on somewhere? ENB/ENBoost, Nividia Inspector, or elsewhere. -
Still better than 99% of the explanations on the Nexus.

ACCEPTED Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM (by Brumbek)
EssArrBee replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The new patch is easily merged to any other plugin if you want to do it yourself. I've added it to the working 2.2.9 patches since we are done with 2.2.8 pretty much. I don't think I've given the working patches out publicly yet, but if you know my github site then you can have em. -
ACCEPTED Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM (by Brumbek)

This is what the new plugin does: Pretty much adds in some snow to the cliffs to cover up the seems so they don't blend so weird. I like it and if others like it I see no reason it can't be merged with the STEP Patches for avoid using another plugin. There are other areas it affects, but I think they are all kinda the same thing where snow is added to cave rocks to cover seems. -
You only delete it if you already have it installed before updating.

If the game crashes during the race menu, then those files are back ups you can use so you don't have to redo the whole thing over again. CharGen Morphs is a separate mod that extends even more options to modify the character and the precache killer is to prevent crashes when you type showracemenu into the console while in game. Basically, it allows you to open the racemenu anytime without crashing.
-
Uninstall Chargen Morphs, the precache killer and RAceMenu. With MO you would just use replace when asked and uninstall Chargen Morphs and precache killer if it is installed.

Wow, nice update to this mod: Version 2.7.0Added camera controls, up/down/left/right and zoom in/out Improved controller support for secondary categories Fixed decapitation crashes Fixed texture reference issues where occasionally altered textures would be duplicated to other actors Integrated CharGen entirely, main mod and morphs no longer necessary. CharGen now attempts to detect custom races, patches should no longer be required assuming the race uses compatible morph files Camera now moves around, much needed for adding tats. No more extra plugins for Chargen or custom races. ShowRaceMenu precache killer is also integrated as well. Just delete it from SKSE directory.

ACCEPTED Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM (by Brumbek)
EssArrBee replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Version 1.65 -Fixed the flickering snow skirts SMIM added on the green cliffs dungeons meshes (enabled Blending on alpha properties). -Restored proper roots texture for minecliffs01.nif, minecliffs02.nif, minecliffs03.nif, minecliffscornerin01.nif, minecliffscornerin01ns.nif, minecliffsisland01.nif, minecliffsisland01ns.nif. The original meshes applied the rock wall texture to the roots in error. -Fixed some UV mapping errors on the dungeons cliffs skirts for all types (green, mine, ice). This fixes some ugly seams and lines. -Added a new install option to improve the snow dungeon cliffs skirts by making them use a snow texture. An .esp is required since the Skyrim engine can't render materials on alpha blended textures. Looks like there is a new SMIM plugin in this update, need to see what that looks like in game. I may have to add it to the patches. :( -
I used to recommend that but mod updates have changed what I forward. We now need names and stats and also tag the step patches with names and stats.

Unofficial High Resolution Patch missing master
EssArrBee replied to shniggysaurus's question in General Skyrim LE Support
If you unpack the BSAs and get rid of the plugins for the high res docs then they patch has no masters just unpack the BSA for the patch and get rid of plugin. -
I don't think the merge script has an issue merging plugins that require SKSE. I'm pretty sure it copies the scripts over regardless of what they actually say.

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
It isn't wrong to do so, but I wrote the guide the way I did to allow the mods to have separate folders for MO. If it is working for you your own way then keep using it. There is no 'ONE' way to do anything. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
I have seen that mod and was wondering if it was in another fixes mod. I've been forgetting to ask Yukichigai if he put any of the terrain fixes in YUP. I know not all of them in there yet since someone is working on that right now for yuki. -
Why did it take so long for this to be created. SHould be in Convenient Horses
-
Yeah, this mod has no esp so it doesn't correspond to the patches.
-
It is okay for people that know what they are doing, but you should learn what files are going in and oout of the Skyrim directory.

I think any 700 series Nvidia card now has support for recording through the Nvidia Experience thing. Only ever pay attention to CUDA updates when I update drivers, so you'd have to look into it for more detail.

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Early on I wanted to use that weather mod and the author is cool. He is active on the enb forums so the mod is supported. I want to go with enb eventually and will consider that mod for sure. I'm happy with the current state of weather and lighting while I work on the quest mods. No one should expect any major updates for a couple of weeks. I have to many things going on right now. Family stuff, giving finals, writing the forward for a text book, working on publishing a new paper, and I still have to do my boyfriend duties. I would like to prioritize gaming to the top of the list, but that just isn't doable.
