I thought we were dropping MM Shrines from Core since they are just vanilla textures with noise added on top. Either way I like these windows. The are closer to original game than VW. VW changes the actual color of some windows. I think the Dragonreach windows go from blue to yellow, that is a bigger departure from the original windows than adding a rough texture to them. Especially since there doesn't seem to be any transparent windows, so the color is more important.

Dude, we cannot emphasize enough that you can't install stuff in the Program Files folder. You should just create a Games folder in C:/ and put everything in there. Steam, Origin, GOG, whatever. Also, Skyrim is Steam only, so not sure why it isn't the Steam directory dude?

Mine is uncheck for my MO directory, fallout directory, and the FNV folder in my documents/my games folder. I was having issues with it and just made sure every file was write able. I just untick the box and a pop up would show that asked if I wanted to do it for every file in the folder. Click yes and let it go through the whole thing, takes a while for the Fallout folder and MO folder. Maybe UAC should just be turned off for you, I think it is done in the Control Panel.

If you get/have the original Deus Ex, then check out the mod that was released last year for it called Nihilum. It is a full campaign 10+ hours to do everything. Also, install some of the mods that make the game look a bit more modern, hard to get into a game where you can actually count the polygons of an object.

I have both. It works fine for me. I just think that you game directory being read only could be the issue. I've have that problem and making the whole directory write able was the solution. I'd just try to figure out the way to turn off UAC and make that folder write able. We may have exhausted every other thing possible that it could be.

Yeah, it should be Fallout - Invalidation.bsa and it will be in the data folder.

Can you at least make the INIs write able? Can you go to your MO folder and look at the profiles folder and make sure that it is write able? Open the INI editor in MO and make sure that bEnableFileSelection=1 is set in falloutprefs.ini under [launcher], I know that is the first thing people should check, but sometimes weird things happen and gets reverted.

Well, is the Steam directory in C:/ or C:/Program Files? Is Windows 8.1 UAC for all of the folders or only Program Files?

Bug looks squashed, like the scorpion I found in my garage this morning. That always wakes you up. I tried for both FNV and Skyrim and couldn't get it to reproduce.

I'll take some time to look into this. I imagine with MO beta testing going on at the moment, most the MO guys are tied up.

Are you installing 2.2.8? I'm guessing you are. Install Ars Metallica and the ARs DB add on. Go ahead and load TES5Edit. Go to the Falseed Tern record and you'll see there is a part of the record that is only from Ars. Delete that part of the record then look that no more records exist from Ars or it's DLC addons and you are good to go. I wouldn't delete the while Falseed Tern record because it would mean you need to add the DB Falseed Tern plugin from SMIM back into your load order.

FCO just updated to 2.0 and has teeth. Lucky me. The latest version of MO doesn't seem to play well with the Tutorial Killer FOMOD. Select manual during install and then right click the Tutorial killer folder and select set data directory. That will install all the esps (four of them). I'll have to look into the MO installer some more, since it doesn't play nice with xml code the has extra <installSteps> lines, but it does install OneHUD and PN correctly, so all that FOMM is needed for is PN - Extra Options and uHUD.

No skse alpha 1.7 has the memory patch. It has to be loaded at startup not possible with a plugin.

I don't have much experience with windows 8. This may a question for the Mod Organizer guys. Luckily the STEP forums are the official MO support forums.

The last person ended having to make sure all the fallout INIs and the fallout game directory was not read-only. You should start with that and the. See if it you are running as an admin.

I don't think there should be. The names are taken directly from the mod page so if the correct will have the same name.

If you are using the STEP Patches from our Nexus page then remove SMIM-DragonbornTernFix.esp, SMIM-FarmhouseFlickeringFix.esp, and SMIM-FurnitureChestSnowFix.esp. These plugins don't conflict with anything unless you are using Ars Metallica, then load the SMIM plugin after Ars. And just load them anywhere.
