DROPPED aMidianBorn Farmhouse (by CaBaL)
EssArrBee replied to DoYouEvenModBro's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'm actually partial to AOF, but AMB in the rain and at night gives me a mod boner. I love the look of both mods but AOF is a bit dried out to fit the world, but the work is very high quality. Amb should probably be core some it is better than what is core right now. I'd say hide the fireplace textures though. -

New to S.T.E.P. and have some questions
EssArrBee replied to zombiecurse's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yes that is correct. You can replace assets like textures and meshes without adding a plugin. -
Yes, I think it just blends better.

255 limit is for plugins only not for all mods. A mod may or may not have a plugin. Also, we do a few things to remove the amount of plugins by making a big patch that includes a some smaller ones. -
I just think it is kinda weird that grass grows consistently along the whole wall instead of in patches. That would be awesome, but a much bigger task. Repeating textures are pretty much impossible to get rid of since you'd have create an wall length texture to remove it. That texture would be like 200MB.

SKYRIMLE Vivid Landscapes - Imperial Forts by Aron
EssArrBee replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
People do advocate this mod for exteriors. They perfectly fine for non-ENB users. Probably the one VL mod that does. -
It is just that much easier for the user searching through files to hide. Even if MO makes stupid simple.

Just put Vurts after this and no need to hide the tree right?

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
I'll be starting work on this again in the next couple days. We knocked out a significant amount of STEP testing that needing to be done before I could return to work on this guide, so it looks like I can put in some time on this. I've been playing the NV Bounties mods and so far so good. Haven't had any game breaking things happen, only one bug so far where a dude fell through the floor and I could collect a finger, but that is a gamebryo thing and happens from time to time. So far my only bug and I'm into the fourth bounty of NVBII. I'll try to knock out the rest of NVBII the next time I load up the game and then do a bit of stress testing to see if there are some parts I can break. If everything goes good then those quests will be in the guide by the end of the week. After that I may be onto a couple gameplay mods I've been meaning to get to, some of the newer stuff on the nexus that looks good, and maybe I'll finish the PN Cyberware mod I started a while back and gave up on because gamebryo scripting is awful. Anyways, look for changes starting in the next few days. -
I haven't done the AMB wall top with the SRO walls yet, I'll have to look at that. Either floor is okay with me. I'd go with Vurt when it comes to plants, he just has this artistic that not many are able to match. I'm okay the whiterun trellis. I like all detailed rugs and AMB, both have great patterns and fit the type of stuff you'd see in maybe the richest hold in the entire country.
-
I like the SRO walls for the inside part of that arch thingy on the left side. Then I like either floor, they are both nice approaches to a castle stone floor. I actually think we should hide the AMB outside retaining walls. Pretty much AMB for everything else is okay for me. Those stairs are a bit smooth for me though.
-
I hid some of the walls and a few tiles, but I missed the stairs. Before Hidden Textures >> After I don't want to retrieve the compares, but they are somewhere in this thread. You guys can just find them and open them all in a separate tab to compare.
-
Did you guys test AMB on top of STEP or vanilla? I put it in STEP Core right after detailed rugs so I could get the rugs too.

Here's few I just did. HRDLC->STEP->AMB One indoor because Dragonreach from the side Gildegreen Houses by the Crypt Market I like AMB for Dragonsreach, especially indoors. I like all the indoor stuff from AMB, really. Also, like Jorvaskr from AMB a lot, it looks really good around dawn. I wish we could get AMb Wood and Walls and stay with the rest of the stuff. The walls are okay, they look better coming up the entrance of Whiterun than they do in the city, but you notice them a little less in the city. I don't actually mind the tinier stones, easier to transport from lower ground.
-
Yeah, I could do that. I don't think even tweak shadows when I test since they are still shots. I have one set of trellis shots already: I think that HRDLC and AMB are pretty much the same here. I used to think it was the meshes that were bad, but I guess Cabal found a way to make the would on trellis not look so terrible.

That's detailed rugs. They are the current step rugs.

So lets use SMIM as an example. I download the main SMIM file which is 1.68 and I get the 1.70 update file. The update files requires that I have the main file installed first. I install the main file with MO, then install the update file and I select Merge which will keep the main file, but install the update on top of the main file. Now lets say that I have SMIM 1.67 installed and want to update to 1.68. Because 1.68 is the entire main file I will select Replace because it will remove the old 1.67 and install the 1.68 main file since it is the entire mod. Rename is if you want to install the same mod under a different name. This is useful if a mod has ENB and non-ENB version and you want the ability to switch between the two.

DROPPED Shield of Ysgramor (by k-xperience)

Both USKP and WAF have added in the ebony keyword since Skyrim.esm didn't have any material keyword. -
ACCEPTED Detailing the Eldrich - Higher-Res Riekling (by ObsidianStag)
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah, but those pictures are like way into the cave, not even close to the entrance. I don't remember seeing any openings in the top either, just ice everywhere. I totally think there would be snow in the entrances, that would taper off as you got inward. Plus, all the fire would melt it deeper in the cave. -
SKYRIMLE aMidianborn Imperial Forts (by CaBaL)
EssArrBee replied to lubojart's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Load em up in game and they both look equally brown and grey. It is a fort retext after all, but you'll notice some errors in the way stuff blends if you go back to STEP after using AMB. Cabal tried to fix a lot of that blending that was really bad. He didn't make it perfect, but it is much better. I guess I've just gotten tired of SRO, since the more I look at it compared to HRDLC, the more I like HRDLC. Some of it is just HRDLC with few layers of noise added in anyways and those layers make the texture worse. I don't get why you would want noise in the textures because they look like tiny speckle unless right up close. Some of Starac's textures look scratch made, but they are very rare. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx

As long as I don't have to download Visual Studio and compile it myself like your last endeavor, I could care less about a GUI. -
ACCEPTED Detailing the Eldrich - Higher-Res Riekling (by ObsidianStag)
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah there was snow on everything outdoors except those huts for some reason. They have an animation though, so that might have something to do with it. Bridges, tents, and all the other stuff has snow when outdoors. That does make me kinda question how all that snow got into those caves in the first place? And how did it get underneath the reikling's stuff. -

Actually all those are in a cave except the hut. There is a tent with snow on it on the mountains, but I couldn't get a good angle on it.
