Performance, Baseline or Extreme STEP?
EssArrBee replied to AddictedxGamer's question in General Skyrim LE Support
NMM does not handle file overwrites properly. You can't install updates correctly. Wrye Bash and MO let you fix this problem, Wrye Bash with annealing and MO with mod isolation. STEP is to complex for NMM, maybe in future updates NMM will be better at file overwrites because they want to create a mod isolation system with profiles like MO, but until then STEP cannot support it. This is not to say that smaller mod installations are okay with NMM. It services many games from many different types of game engines and that is probably its biggest strength and probably biggest weakness. It's kinda like Windows where it can do a lot of different things, but no of them really well and WB and MO are like some Unix based OS that is a bit more narrowly focused, but does those few things it focuses on really well. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback

Turn on the harder sneaking in one of the PN MCM menus. It isn't quite as dynamic as that mod, but it does up the difficulty a bit. -
Where did you here about VRAM having a cap? It doesn't have a page file so there shouldn't be any cap at all. I've seen skyrim performance monitor reports from Titan owners with nearly all their VRAM in use.

I believe we tested the cultist max fix in UDBP and it didn't work. You can check the thread for cultist max fix and see a post by CJ verifying that. Distant decal fix has 20 extra fixes not in USKP that the UPP team didn't think we're fixes but we like them so we kept the mod.

Maybe reinstall an older version. V13.23 worked fine for me back when I started FOMM fork. -

Can you tell me where the program is installed? If it doesn't start through MO or by itself then something is wrong with the install of the program. Also, did you ever run the game through Steam, just up to the launcher. That is how you get the registry entries for the game so other programs can use them. -
They are backup files from RaceMenu in case the game crashes during the character creation screen you have a set of back up face gen morphs. They are safe to delete otherwise.

Is there any plan to add a page about using Archive.exe for Skyrim now that MO seems stable? I was probably going to recommend repacking optimized textures with FOMM for FNV, but I haven't tested it yet. I think it works fine for older games. Arthmoor has a good directions for using Archive.exe here: https://www.iguanadons.net/Using-BAIN-and-Archiveexe-to-Package-a-Skyrim-Mod-494.html I would recommend compression for just textures though. Anything but sounds can be compressed.

He always seems to meet me when I play. I usually do the alternate start and end up meeting him in Novac first. -

Depends where Alternative Start puts you. If you go somewhere that Victor also goes before going to Goodsprings then he probably won't be there. -

EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
He did but the mixes them in a way that would serve better if exteriors were optimized. Places like free side and the strip could use 1k textures for the buildings and it would help a lot. Instead of optimized think reducing size of some textures for performance. -
You should update to 1.2.9.

I don't remember this mod looking like the screens DY took. I thought it looked like matte leather.- 34 replies

I think this mod was really old. It was better than the vanilla texture, but we just kinda kept it in after the HRDLC came out.- 34 replies

You can see people moving through walls. You can time sneak attacks perfectly with detect life.

Before I stopped playing I had a ranger with Illusion and Archery as main categories, Sword and Dagger, Light Armor and Stealth as secondary categories, and then threw in Alchemy and spent points mostly on Poison side of the tree. It was super fun using sneak then Illusion skills to move around enemies instead of killing all of them like I usually do. If I had to fight from range I had poisons and in close sword and dagger. I used Uncapper to set up my skills. You can slow down the stuff that aren't major categories and speed up the main ones. Also, made some contribute much less to overall leveling and made the main ones contribute a little more. It is really amazing what that little plugin can do to affect gameplay. I had STEP Core, some extended mods, Frostfall, Immersive Armors, and Immersive Weapons. Probably a few more weapons and armor mods, but much more than that. Really fun after about level 10 when needs stop being such a chore.

Did you know there was a Canada Day? Well Steam does and they have a nice little deal. https://store.steampowered.com/sale/canadaday I recommend guacamelee or mark of the ninja.

I'm address optimization with Kelmych. I won't be adding anything to the guide until the launch of STEP 2.2.9 though. It is getting very close to release. -
ACCEPTED Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade (by kryptopyr)
EssArrBee replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I thought I deleted that message from the wiki. Anyways use the patch with the main mod. -
Make sure you archive invalidation on. It's located in the profiles menu. Also make sure file selection in the INIs is set to 1. The Non-MO mods in the left pane should be in the correct order. Put Fallout first then all dlc then all pre order packs.

Was thinking I was installing STEP core, but installed the Extended
EssArrBee replied to peppergomez's question in General Skyrim LE Support
You need to go back and find a couple mods that need a different version for Extended. They are listed in the guide and I think there are only two. -

Not really, it is just more mods. -

EssArrBee replied to Bealdwine's question in Other Utilities Support
If you click the bar above the right pane a category list pops up. The search bar above will allow you to search for mods, so search for a mod that is being patched like AOS or RWT. -
CTD across from Solitude docks
EssArrBee replied to Lauren's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
NVAC lets really bad saves load and suppresses so many crashes by doing some exception handling. Just see if it works.
