  1. Generate Tags for Wrye Bash question: Should this be run for each mod? Would it help make things work better? I am brand new to it. I read what was written in the CaPD guide and it makes sense but I wouldn't yet know anything about how to manually check them all? Happy to have some guidance. If it can "make things better" I'd love to learn how. EDIT: At the beginning of the Setting up Mod Organizer section it says that Wrye Flash will need extra steps (along with 3 other programs) though Wrye Flash is the only application that doesn't actually show any extra steps being performed with Mod Organizer (I don't think I'm missing them?)
  2. It may be worth noting that the GOG.com version of FO3 solves "all kinds" of start up issues. I'm showing the installation and setup process for GOG and Steam in my next video. (the video series in progress will be showing how to install 95% of CaPD). GOG does not need: -Windows Live Disabler (comes with a live file and the program itself is not needed). The "LIVE" button on the main menu cannot be remove with Windows Live Disabler as the Disabler won't work (states that it's disabled already and can't be used on launch). -Comes 4GB aware out of the box. Doesn't need Large Address Aware Enabler. -Can be played offline.

  4. Absolutely = ) A lot of what I plan on adding after I follow the guide (probably 95% to the letter) is personal taste sort of things. I"ve always wanted to add a large number of modders resources to minor places throughout the world. (ex: a coffee mug that makes sense in the world but only on one desk that may be seen at only one time in a play through and a poster that fits the world on one wall somewhere... diversity sort of things that make sense but are crazy time consuming and not necessarily needed/wanted by everyone). I may also change perks and other aspects of the game to fit what I personally think would be nice... not sure about it all yet = )
  5. I thought I'd leave this here for Kelmych and anyone else who cares to stop in from time to time to be notified. I'll be following the majority of the CaPD guide and adding more after it. Edit (and to leave suggestions?)
  6. Thank you Covert = ) I had searched the forums but I apparently wasn't looking for the right key words = ) I was hoping it would be a reinstall issue so that I don't have to mess with it lol.. though definitely something good to mention to people. Thank you for the link and info.
  7. I'm working on updating my very old Bashed Patch video to be a bit faster, easier to follow and generally more appealing to watch. With that said, when I created a bashed patch via Mod Organizer (Skyrim LE is all I've tried.. recently removed everything from my system to start over to see if I did something wrong but I thought I'd ask here as well) all mods in MO get deactivated once the patch is made. I tried remaking the patch a few times and every time I remake the patch Wrye Bash unchecks every plugin in the right pane (plugins column). Has anyone experienced this or know why this happens? This happened with MO 1.3.1.1 (as far as I know that's the stable/final version for 32bit games) and I used the latest version of Wrye Bash. Any assistance would be appreciated. I won't be able to test anything until I get all of my mods reinstalled again, mod manager, programs, games, so on....
  8. @KRIN3X -Two different things = ) F4SE doesn't affect your .ini files and BethINI only affects your .ini files (as far as I know you mad men). They will work perfectly fine together. -BethINI is going to alter your .ini files depending on what you choose. If your mods have specific .ini requirements double check the .ini's after using BethINI. -Like with any mod you would install, test your game out after using BethINI. BethINI allows you to make backups that you can revert to if you don't like the changes you've made.
  9. ... just throwing it out there that there's a semi insane but glad to be helpful video creator out there who will be happy to create certain things for certain topics if certain people ever want them at certain times. Generally he needs certain things to be taught to him like he's a child because this certain person takes a while to grasp things lol but ... he really does like being helpful = ) (GP has graduated from having issues to full blown subscriptions)
  10. Not sure that my input will help or make things worse lol.. but here goes = ) I've followed the Fear and Loathing in New Vegas guide. I've left some mods out. I've added other mods in. Personally, (I don't have reasons as to why this happens, if it's specific to me, or anything else for that matter... simply personal use and testing on my own load order, which I use for my RP series) If I hit 120 plugins, activated of not (using MO) I start to get visual oddities. My characters facial hair lifts slightly off his face (eye brows sit back into his face a touch.. not enough to cry about but enough for me to cry about it lol) and if I remember correctly the color tint changes slightly (a bit more bleached)... all that to say, when I cut my load order back to 119 mods (again, deactivated mods still had this effect) the issue went away. For whatever my word and personal experience is worth, there it is. I use Windows 10 Pro if that means anything. Hope that helps and doesn't cause you any more confusion or questions. Just my experience. I test things heavily before venturing into an RP series on my channel, mostly for fps, stutter and visual quality. Taking up close footage of my characters face is something that I do often.
  11. I've wanted to try this game for a while but being forced into third person has made me reluctant. Is there are 1st person mod that you know of?.. and if so, once it's worked out will you be adding or recommending it?
  12. Simple mod, but they are my favorite. Might be worth giving a look https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/22430
  13. BethINI : Fallout 4 Video : 1.0 = )
  14. Thanks man = ) ... I have a minute and a half to finish on the video and its 2:30am here... and I can't take stay awake any longer lol. Worked on the video for 12 hours today. 10ish yesterday and the same the previous 2 days. (I voiced it a couple of weeks back and did the editing then)... all that to say... I'll finish it tomorrow and upload it Saturday = ) lol i'll send you a link.
  15. So with the new MO integration (the one coming)... Should you still run BethINI outside of MO or should you install it to it?
  16. Will do = ) I am missing video for a couple of settings but I foresee many updates in the future (at least a couple) so I'll figure them out or harass you when that time comes. Overall I think its pretty good. New approach since I'm using a new format (opened the screen up), hopefully its received well.
  17. Yeah, I figured it out = ) I'm just about finished with the FO4 Edition of the video. i actually left a text note on screen about MO2 which should work either way. I decided thats I should just do 1 video per game. I would never finish that massive all in one vid. Are there any setting additions to fo4? I'm eager to get this thing uploaded lol.. hopefully tomorrow
  18. =) Question: What would be a good example of the particle effect in FO4? I think it effected torches in skyrim but I can't figure it out in fo4 ... smoke and fire.. got it = ) ... seems really subtle
  19. BethINI: FO4 When you disable tutorial pop-ups the message at the bottom reads, "The game will no display tutorial pop-ups." = )
  20. Thank you all for the info on this. Sorry about not responding earlier. I tend to jump all over the place. I will have lots to learn as I go = )
  21. DoubleYou, This looks "crazy". Might be something you want to take a look at for whatever reasons... https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62796
  22. Is it pretty much a consensus that N.M.M. is the only truly stable manager for FO4? I've spent a few days reading articles and posts on random sites and I've found very little about WryeBash (if its supported for FO4 and should be a "go to"). Tons of info on how Mod Organizer has bugs but nothing we can't work around (what does "nothing we can't work around mean"? .. sounds a lot like... something we should not spend time teaching folks how to work around lol... which then kills the manager for my purposes) and that's about it. Would love to hear some feedback from those "in the know" and some serious info regarding options by anyone who has some.
  23. OMG IT WORKS!!! LOL I need a kick in the butt... for reasons unknown to me my launcher reset to it's default settings (haven't opened the thing since I set this all up) and AA and AF were back on (had turned the off previously).. but.. now with those off.. all is good LOL.. thanks for reading =) Edit: I've been doing some crazy "things" with BethINI lately to prepare for the tutorial/guide I'm working on for it. I'm guessing somewhere along the lines I deleted the wrong files or reset something... aww well.. back to normal
  24. I uploaded a video showing the problem.... Restarting the game does nothing and the issue only happens when I go past the water tank (leaving GoodSprings) to head out to the rest of the game world (things are fine if I stay around Doc's house and the Saloon). About 21 seconds into the video you will see a "flash" and then the floating water tank/tumbleweeds/random bushes... When you approach their actual position in the game they stay where they are suppose to be and then a new set of objects begin to "float". If I go into the ENB options, turn off "Use Effect" (which is essentially turning off the ENB) it goes away. Not sure that it's a LOD issue as the models are their full resolution versions. But I couldn't guess anything else. Thoughts? (no, getting rid of ENB is not a solution lol, thanks). Pretty lost here. Edit: Does NOT happen everywhere. Just a large chunk of the game (so far) starting at the back end of Goodsprings and heading in the direction of Primm (more to the right where the mountains are) Edit 2: The more I check around it becomes apparent that its only a large/compact group of cells. once I get beyond a certain point the only time I see them is when I look back in that direction. Maybe a cell is corrupt and ENB is exposing it somehow? I don't know. Edit 3: So it's not really a "floating" issue. What's going on, I keep looking at it lol, is that the objects are where they need to be, but for whatever reason, other objects/land doesn't block them from view. They overlap anything and everything that should be in front of them. The objects are exactly where they need to be but they aren't being hidden by what is infront of them.
