pack Dreadflopps Modular patches
hishutup replied to dreadflopp's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
What I mean is 5-6 spaces. like " " I used that when I was new to writing. Its a terrible way to keep track of things. sometimes you'll have multiple 'tabs' and it just turns into a mess in the future... I didn't take a peak at the source but it looked like you did the fake tab thing... So I was just providing you with the alternatives. you could even use a padding-left:100px in a spanstyle or whatnot as another method to do tabs. -

pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
hishutup replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Um... That may not work if the patch is changing some records from DawnofRiften.esp and those same records might have different FormIDs. In tes5edit "check for errors" after changing the master. If there are errors in the references If there are no errors then its all good -
I found this thread so I figure why not have some input. Here is a list of common ones that may already exist... UOPs is kinda tricky because UOP can be just the Unofficial Oblivion Patch Some of them generally have a number next to them like QTP3/QTPIII and OCOV2/OCO2 OBSE non case-sensitive "Oblivion Script Extender" OOO case-sensitive "Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul" MMM case-sensitive "Martigen's Monster Mod" TMM case-sensitive "TesModManager" OBMM case-sensitive "Oblivion Mod Manager" UOPs case-sensitive "Unofficial Oblivion Patches" OCO case-sensitive "Oblivion Character Overhaul" UL case-sensitive "Unique Landscapes" QTP case-sensitive "Qarls Texture Pack" OCOCCCM case-sensitive "Oblivion Character Overhaul v2 and Comprehensive Cosmetic Compilation Merge" No joke, its a thing and its a pain to search for but V2 may need to be left out and I am thinking about adding this mod

Missing (black/purple) Texture? Report it here!
hishutup replied to Farlo's question in DDSopt Support
The conversation continued in PM so... In conclusion he was following SR:LE which has the user extract all of the bsa and then instructs to delete the dummy esps. WDW's MO was told to not extract the bsa and to never ask again even though, the bsa extract setting was enabled. To fix this you "Reset Dialogs" then go to MO's archives tab and right-click -> Extract then navigate to the mod folder that the bsa originated from and then you can delete the bsa that was just extracted. -
Bashed patch add files to Skyrim data folder?
hishutup replied to xxx78's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Huh... No one answered Am I the only one that does this... Probably... Oh right, you had a question I seen those in mine... I wouldn't worry too much about them. This info is likely be incorrect but here you go... DialogueViews I have no clue Scripts is supposed to be there shadersfx is likely from an enb sound was probably generated ingame but IDK LSData I think is from the launcher -

Missing (black/purple) Texture? Report it here!
hishutup replied to Farlo's question in DDSopt Support
if you know for a fact that MO is extracting the bsas and you are not seeing a dialogue box then its all good. If MO is not extracting and you have bsa extraction on then you need to go back into setting and click reset dialogue boxes. -

Quick way of reducing the files in SRO 2k?

most of the time conflicts are just fine and are for which textures to you like more... You'll know when you need to worry about which mods needs to overwrite the others... -
pack Dreadflopps Modular patches
hishutup replied to dreadflopp's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
I took a look at the patches and the STEP patch edits and they look pretty easy to read. I kinda understood what they were getting at about the patch format earlier and I think this is better. -
Quick way of reducing the files in SRO 2k?
hishutup replied to Spock's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Not that I am immediately aware of.... Unless you had a very specific reason I wouldn't worry about that because its a non issue. The files are just over written and its not a big deal. -

In MOs archives tab do you have the all the bsa files checked. If it still isn't working they unpacking the bsa for that mod. -
GUIDE Mythic Dawn: Gateway to Oblivion WIP
hishutup replied to hishutup's topic in Oblivion - Mythic Dawn
Personally, I dislike MO for Oblivion so I am going to be a little ignorant on the matter, just understand that is where I am coming from and apologize in advance. Draakon the frustration is not geared toward you at all because like I said... I dislike it for Oblivion That and I needed to type the rant anyhow. So, I could more or less copy/paste into FAQs p.s. Thank you for the congrats ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Too many issues when I started modding Oblivion. That was the big kicker. The guide is not complete. Meaning you will have to keep track of which mods I update but since I am not documenting it as of now, you are probably going to have to know which mods need to be reinstalled because of a patch. you will need to keep track of the work arounds and see if they install correctly. Could you still use it? YES. Am I going to provide support? NO. Can I guide you? Not really... I don't know what I am going to add/change/remove. Its kinda going day by day. Does that mean you are kinda on your own? NO, Tannin can help with MO problems. I personally do don't understand its issues enough to debug/ troubleshoot. More down below Cue the rant... There are going to be people that ask "but why?" and here you go: workarounds for more than a few mods. Wizard.txt scripted installers need to got through Wrye Bash .OMOD scripted installers need to go through TESModManager Some mods that use scripted installers are content aware Meaning that they can sense if a patch needs to be installed because X.esp is enabled in the Load Order You kind of need to know what you are installing before you install X mod because of patches or what not MO can only handle one install of a mod. For me I am adding and subtracting mods in my Load Order that I would have to reinstall multiple mods because I had added or changed one mod I would need to know what mod needs a patch for a mod that I am going to install and since changing if I added a mod I am using Wrye Bash myself and so I expect others to as well because I understand some of the weirdness that may go on with that program... When it comes to MO, you might as well make a new topic in the MO section so Tannin can help you because I am going to be of little use Running the programs at the end of the guide were not accounting for MO and so they are kind of slow and crash happy. TES4LODGen takes about 2 min to run normally. In MO it took upward of 5 minutes. Thats not bad. TES4LL took 6-8hours (I clicked the wrong setting) and MO would have crated only and hour into it. CBash takes quite awhile to regen. It would be more than double through MO. I personally can switch over to it because I change my Install Order too much and using MO would require to redo things way too often.
