Skyrim Seemingly Random Crashes
hishutup replied to Slade's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
then increase the values for SSME but if you do then you need to set the expandmemory64 to false in enblocal or it'll crash on startup try something like 768 or 1024 for the first value and 512 for the second in the skse.ini EDIT: I think your problem is somewhere else... I am unsure as for TES5 not being able to clean... It sounds like you have permissions problems (I hate windows permissions so much.) EDIT2: the new inis look way better. -
Installing Omod's with Mod Organizer
hishutup replied to antonio4198's question in Mod Organizer Support
Personally, I would like full OMOD archive support but like what double you said: Run OBMM (TMM) through MO Install mod normally and allow all overwrites. Ini edits get tricky. Just remember which mods have ini edits. Some edits may cause crashes if the mod is removed After the mod finishes installing close the application. In MO right click the overwrites create mod and there you go- 21 replies

[Visual Bug]Hands Clipping through Arcane Enchanter table top
hishutup replied to tregolani's question in General Skyrim LE Support
hmm... I would start a new game (for testing) and leave the character stuff at default and see if the animation bug still there -
Skyrim Seemingly Random Crashes
hishutup replied to Slade's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Yup what DoubleYou said... As for random crashes... theres another part to the memory tweaks https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50471/? Sometimes value max out and cause crashes.. Keeping an eye out for the values and adjust if necessary. Oh a for inis you need to find the MO ones since it doesn't use the ones in My GamesSkyrim Mod Organizerprofiles -
Distorted lighting effects using ENB Vividian
hishutup replied to Valtarien's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
disable speedhack... It does weird stuff... disable the proxy for testing.. If it isn't those then your card is seriously messed up because Skyrim works on almost all newer cards... VM windows on a Mac does weird stuff like that... fixable though -
Black screen upon attempting to launch SKSE
hishutup replied to DuckPuns's question in Mod Organizer Support
hmm... I remember from the very early days of skyrim there was an issue were the game didn't recognize the two DVI ports on my card.... Switching to the other fixed that If you dont understand this then ignore it: Try the single link port rather than the dual link EDIT: I would recommend re-downloading all of them rather than import... -

If you still have that save I am curious what happens when you have dragon combat overhaul installed -
Ah... Ok what if the content was in a CSS code rather than use jQuery if that what it is... IDK... Ill get into CSS another day

bug Terrain & Water Texture Pop In
hishutup replied to GunerX's question in General Skyrim LE Support
are you using safety load... If so ditch it because it was superseded SDO might imitate the effects of the terrain not loading because the Objects will load way before they are in the vanilla game. hmm, I think I may know how to fix it but its ini edits. If your VRAM is under control and your graphics card is more than capable. I would say take a look at ewis inis. STEP and Mods will say they dont recommend it. I say try anything and if something works then great. This does mean back up your original inis and saves. I would also ask dont make a new save and then continue to use it. Since, this is more of a test then permanent solution... The there are a few edits you'll have to make. If you use full enb then only one edit is needed otherwise i think there is 4 edits but I am unsure. -
Water not reflecting landscape properly?
hishutup replied to Clouddistrictcitizen's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Wait... are you talking about flickering between LODs (low res scrolling texture VS. high res). That happens with all setups. It's really common with Skyrim being maxed out and fast traveling to dense towns/villages. I don't know if there is a fix, its just another engine bug. As for reflections, I rarely see it. I thought you meant it happens all the time... I have an AMD crossfire setup. -
Bashed Patch does more harm than good?
hishutup replied to beej175560's question in Wrye Bash Support
Wow, there's some good info in this. The how copy the override thing is useful in most situations where it isn't useful is when a competent human has to make a patch because some records need to be merged rather than overridden and wb seems to call it patched.... There are more but it's over my head at this time. For now I'm going with CBash until I am able to take a proper look and create a few -maybe- necessary patches -
Water not reflecting landscape properly?

I think they're referencing the multicard issues... There isn't issues with the reflections only ripples... -
pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
hishutup replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
That is actually funny... Hmm... When I was merging mods for skyrim I found that many didn't work as planed even though all of the records were correct. Here are a few examples: Realistic water two main esp -> missing water planes Skyfalls and skymills -> double windmills (the original tiny one wasn't disabled even though in the esp it was) and waterfalls were blocks of ice It kinda worked if the esp was flaged as master file... why? IDK... There were more but I can't remember them. I found that merging in groups helped. For one group I have certain merging option select and for the main merge I did renumber formIds in the drop down box rather than in the merging script. I found that there were way fewer error and incorrect references... Personally I think the script assumes The mod overwriting a record removes conflict rather than fixing them... Maybe making merging patches will help even the process. As for preventing these errors... Make a patch that is made for merging... Oh, if youre merging files that overwrite leveled list make sure you create a merging patch or make a special bashed patch that your are going to merge into the file... Yes, it gets tricky to explain why or how but just take it with a grain of salt -
Bashed Patch does more harm than good?
hishutup replied to beej175560's question in Wrye Bash Support
For me Bashed patched is very much needed. You need to have the correct tags and the correct load order. Maybe even create a bashed patch, 0 that has all the names and stats in the correct order and then make another one to import the original and have it override most of the incorrect tags... I think without it then a lot of patching will be required. meh, just my humble opinion.... -
GUIDE Mythic Dawn: Gateway to Oblivion WIP
hishutup replied to hishutup's topic in Oblivion - Mythic Dawn
I am trying to get through the more popular mods as well as trying to keep my frames up. They seem fine in tamriel but in a city they are terrible ~15-30... Why, I have not idea? Probably engine related because my GPU is sits around 50% when its normally around 90%. Like I keep asking, does anyone have a trick or a try this? Theres also a lot of inconsistent instructs/ descriptions. Soire and I need to work these out. -
Hmm... Um maybe run the Setup.exe thats in the directX folder. I forgot the name of the folder as well as the name for the exe. Re run the vxredist. I forgot the name of that too... I am not at my pc Maybe something in the nVidia profile is incorrect. Try it with out the customized profile If that doesn't work then try reinstalling the graphic card drivers but I don't how that goes for nvidia... After this I am almost out of ideas.... The last one is a windows issue.... So maybe a reinstall of windows would fix it but I highly doubt it

For the past 2-4 days now, when I go to load my Oblivion Guide page and the Collapsed Tables start out already expanded. This including a second computer that I don't edit on and on my phone. The Expand/ Collapse activatable text doesn't show if they start out already expanded. I was just wonder is it happening to anyone else. Is there too much content in the tables for it to work properly. Is there a fix or is it something I have done edits wise. Heres a link to a section that has 4 Collapsable Content tables one after the other. https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Hishutup/OblivionGuide#2.03_User_Interface

Maybe also have it so that there is a page where all the potential templates exist like the one below. It was my first assumption at a page existing. https://wiki.step-project.com/Template I still like what this conversion can do. I fond a few but had no idea how to use them and/or what they actually did.

Yup, collapsible menus are amazing but I noticed sometime after editing and then after reloading the collapse/expand button disappears and they appear to be in a Expanded table. Its kinda annoying. -
STEP:Core stutter/fps drops with a good PC - optimization
hishutup replied to Simondererste's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
Hmm... I keep saying check VRAM... It brings mine to a crawl. Like DoubleYou kinda said... ForceBorderless=false ForceBorderlessFullscreen=false because in skyrim you have bFull Screen = 1 set You have 3GB VRAM by no means do you need this. It caused really bad macro/micro stutter on my system. Yes, both. EnableCompression=false Hmmm.... You also said this [*]Monitor: EIZO Foris FS2333 1920x1080(Main=Skyrim played on)16:9 and 1680x1050(Side)16:10 try disconnecting the second monitor. On a side note, I would recommend ReservedMemorySizeMb= be a higher value. Something like 256/512 but should impact anything quite like this. -
Some of the others said set AA and AF to 0. I would say turn AF to 16 because there really isn't a performance loss -that I have personally seen- but visual gain. Maybe play around with enb by actually turning it on... Just to test and see but you'll need to enable a few ini settings... I dont remember them though, maybe someone else would provide them.

Help Improve Pack Creation!
hishutup replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Since, everybody is talking about TOC... is there a super easy way to make the TOC ignore this for example. <span style="background-color: green;"> </span>I have a big space in the TOC in front of all the mods. Same with the numbering. Its rather annoying. Edit: Well, I guess someone answered it fast than I post. I was distracted...
