GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Nozzer66 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
While you're at it Ess, maybe look at adding NVR III back in? I think all is sorted out there now... -
Smile44 will be on that like white on rice, in a glass of milk, on a paper plate in a snowstorm. :) How's your setup working now Interinactive? (By the way, damn cool forum handle. :D )
-
You should be good to go without the patch, just do the merge as suggested in the pack page and away you go. :)
-
I've not looked hard at it, but I'd hazard an educated guess that it's built on older versions of mods it patches, and thus doesn't really work as well as it should. Thus why it's looking for mods you either don't have installed or have no esp's left in, like the Open Face Helmets mod. What do you use now? Presumably nothing. I don't use any patch like that on my set up and have yet to find issues.
-
There. I knew he said it somewhere... In the 'Just installed STEP Extended + Explorer Guide pack, now what?' thread.
-
Look back through this thread. Am certain it's mentioned that's the patch is not needed if you load Requiem after the STEP mods. You are so you should be OK. Loading the Requiem esps last will mean they should 'win' any conflicts so presumably the patch's null and void in such a case.
-
Am fairly sure the STEP Requiem Patch is outdated and isn't supposed to be used....
-
Kaspersky kept turning itself off for me... I eventually found a dud RAM stick, fixed that and reinstalled it, but still wouldn't stay activated.
-
I wouldn't wish McAfee or Kaspersky for that matter on my worst enemy. As for Nortons... I've been told I'm not allowed to say what I'd like to say about that so here's the edited version... $@*($^@*(&^*(@$^&*(@*(^!*(^$*(@$_%!@)(%&!(@*)&%()@%@#&*(% Pile... MSE all the way here.

Technically it's 255, or FF in Hexadecimal. And yes, when you merge say 10 esps into 1, that will save you 9 slots cause you can simply deactivate all the merged ones.
-
Don't stress about hogging the topic. That's what the place is here for. :) Discussion on the Requiem pack. If it really bothers you, though, start your own topic in the Support section. :)
-
It may help you early when you're a little underskilled, but in the long run, yes, I'd not suggest it.

That slight sense of 'This is going to all go awry' is not unusual in Modding. :) If you follow the STEP and Packs instructions you should end up with a perfectly workable game. It's probably not a real bad idea to test each section of mods as you go. IE add all the Fixes, run the game, make sure it doesn't CTD. Then load up the 'Test-Vanilla-Save' every modder has hidden somewhere, run through a few parts, see if all seems OK. Add the next section, rinse, repeat. Everything should work fine if you're painstaking. It's worth the time. :) EDIT: With the Requiem stuff you may have pre-loaded during STEP install, simply unclick any such ESP's when you fire up the game. Leave them unclicked until Requiem's added, then re-enable them. EDIT2: With the patches. If you have STEP Extended all done, use that patch alone. Extended patch includes the Core patch so you don't need both.

Immersive Creatures - Creatures are frozen in place
Nozzer66 replied to MysticDaedra's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Are you running the FNIS creatures pack by any chance? -
Correct. :) But not just on Core Mods, on the Extended ones as well. Or in mods with installers, look for Requiem options in there.

Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2 not working.
Nozzer66 replied to NomenNescio's question in Mod Organizer Support
Might come in handy if you actually post a mods list. It's a strange one, though. -
I know one of them was Soul Gems are Different. That's in STEp and will need the Requiem part added in the installer.
-
You're probably looking at the wrong STEP Extended page for a kickoff: This is the one you should be looking at: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.9 And when I did it I just did my STEP:Extended as usual, making sure any mods that had the option had the Requiem options added. I then added the Requiem pack after that, keeping the Requiem pack items at the bottom of the load order. You should be golden from there. Smile44 is almost certain to drop in at some stage, and he's the man behind the Requiem pack, so he may have some better ideas.

The Null value warning may also be due to a non compatible mod. The only real way to know which one it is is to start with just the unofficial patches, all the DLC and Perma loaded. Then run the patcher and see if that works. If it does, start re-adding mods a couple at a time until you find the one that's causing it. When you do, you add that esp to the Patcher's Block list, reinstall everything and repatch again. If you still get the error, you have another incompatible mod. Rinse and repeat. Unfortunately there's no quick way around that one.

Vividian ENB - Skyrim Revisited ILS from enbhost.exe?
Nozzer66 replied to MysticDaedra's question in Post-Processing Support
Yeah that's what I was getting at. It's definitely not reading the ini file. Double check your SKSE install. -
Vividian ENB - Skyrim Revisited ILS from enbhost.exe?
Nozzer66 replied to MysticDaedra's question in Post-Processing Support
Ok that's definitely not right. Where exactly path wise is your SKSE.ini? Secondly, you haven't inadvertently left a .txt on the end of your SKSE.ini filename? -
Hmmm hadn't noticed that. Will have to look closer.

DROPPED Mystery Modders Shrines HD (by Mystery Modder)
Nozzer66 replied to Jorus's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah, we know. :( Bit of a shame. There's other good Shrines mods, though. I actually prefer Ren's HD Shrines mod, in any case.
