  1. Have seen this happen before... Are you running ETAC and RS Children?
  2. Yes it's possible to not use mods you don't want to use. When doing so, ensure any patches other mods may provide for any mod you don't use are also removed. Also when doing this, you'll likely have to do the Conflict Resolution manually, and not use the pre-generated conflict resolution ESP that Neovalen provides. But that's not hard, Neo provides a detailed Conflict Resolution page as well, just a little time consuming is all. But that will depend more of what mods you want to do without.
  3. Re the Bashed Patch, yes, correct. Make a bashed patch when you've finalized your mods. Use LOOT or BOSS/BUM to sort it to the bottom again, correct also. With packs, they're designed to tack onto the end of a STEP:Core Install, so you can leave them at the end. Or if you're confident you know what you're doing, you can drag them up the list and put them in the same general area as mods that modify similar things. That's what I do, but if you're not confident, leaving them at the end is fine. BOSS/LOOT should sort them all out. Once you're added all the mods you want, do another bashed patch and rerun FNIS etc as per normal.
  4. NVR3 wont work in the search engine. But here's the actual mod link: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56312/?
  5. Pretty much what z says above. With your missing masters, though, you should be able to mouse over the little sign to see what file's missing. I'd bet it's likely something simple like you've installed an optional patch for one mod for another mod you currently don't have installed. Have a peek at that first. I'd also wager that the FNIS issue is the old T-Pose? That usually means the generator for FNIS isn't loaded properly or in the right place, or didn't run correctly. But yep, jump into the support area as above and we'll get more specific on possible fixes for you. Your machine surely is good enough to run Skyrim modded to hell, so that wont be an issue. Welcome, and we'll see how we can go about getting you up to speed. :)
  6. NVR3's been back up for a while. It's even been redone so you don't need the old version of FCO. You can use current FCO with no issues.
  7. Well, I think of it like this: If I'm a mod author and someone asks me to allow my mod to be put into an automated easy one step package, I'd want to know a few things. 1) What other mods are in the package? 2) Who's doing the package? 3) How credits are going to be handed out. I think 3) will be the big issue. If your mod's in one big package with 100 others, the 100 odd mod authors might get forgotten about when the pack maker gets all the credit. And sure the pack maker will and should, make sure that the individual mod authors are mentioned and credited, but let's be honest, who's going to read a list of 100 names when there's a quick 1 step package you could torrent, or download, unpack and let the installer do everything? Even if it's in a 'you must read this file before the installer will run' type of deal? This is where the automation idea might break down. It would only take 1 mod author to say no to make any package idea difficult. Don't get me wrong, am all for making things quicker and easier, I'm just being a bit of a devil's advocate here and my usual glass half empty type. :D I'd be interested to see what eecer comes up with when it's done. :)
  8. Blinks... 520 bucks for a Gigabyte 970. And 490 for my fave EVGAs? (Yeah I'm an EVGA fanboi, I admit it. What can I say? :D ) Wallet trigger finger itching, severely...
  9. first things first, make 100% sure you've activated mods in the left pane and that the relevant plugins are enabled in the right pane. With the 'intro not skipping' are you referring to the Bethesda splash screen before the Skyrim emblem comes up with the menu, or the cart ride into Helgen? Just want to be certain on this.
  10. Requiem pretty much goes at the bottom of your load list. You should be able to follow the guide and tack the relevant downloads onto the end of a current install. You will need a new game, though. I'm sure Smile44 will be in shortly for more up to date details, though.
  11. Also depends on the mod. Some I don't merge, like all the aMidianBorn Book of things. I put them all separate so I can chop and change easier.
  12. Where is the FNIS for users actually located?
  13. It's an easy one to miss, but have you actually activated the FNIS mod in the left pane?
  14. Yep, That^. Any if any issues do pop up, the Author's always in the Nexus Comments replying and helping.
  15. That's... strange. I'd just run the game with the setup as is and see if you run into any missing texture issues.
  16. Doing it ATM. Haven't seen any real issues as yet.
  17. Do them one at a time, usually.
  18. And yes, neck seams are very difficult to completely remove. You can get close but never perfect. And yes, use that necklace mod. It's reasonably good at hiding them. I usually put them in after I install Spice of Life.
  19. It wont cause issues, or shouldn't stability wise. You MAY see occasional little things not working until you make the bashed patch, that's about all I've found in my experience. Just run all the patchers like Duel Sheath etc when you're fairly sure you wont be adding many more mods and the list is pretty much complete. If you have Dual Sheath in your load order but haven't run the DSR patcher you'll get reminded about it every startup until you do it. If you run into the legendary T-Posed NPC's that's just FNIS being loopy. But like my learned colleague above says, follow STEP to the end, and just add on top of it. You're likely to be pretty solid unless you make a real hash of any install. All good and fun and fine and best of luck to you.
  20. UIO is back up and I have installed it and the UI looks awesome again. Not a single error and mush less messing about with FOMM-Fork. Good work EssArrBee and others for working out the install.
  21. The plugin's been merged. Not the whole mod. Some mods also provide other resources, so they need to be kept enable for access to those resources.
  22. It would appear UIO is hidden... This is a slight problem. :)
  23. Heh, you'll get used to that. Mod everything up, get started, find a new mod you like, that develops into 5-6 mods, and before you know it you're restarting and remodding again and again and never getting past Whiterun. We've all been there, haven't we? :)
  24. Migraines suck... :S Get them all the time.
  25. Play for a while unoptimized and see if you need to do it first. If performance is good as is, then it's up to you. :)
