Couple of Questions (May be updated with more)
Nozzer66 replied to monkeycid's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
SO if I read this correctly what should be done is download the original Jaysus Swords, nuke all its plugins and then Sharlikran's patch is not used? -
Monitor, 144 Hertz, V-sync, Enb, Performance and Cheese
Nozzer66 replied to TehKaoZ's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I run a 120Hz Samsung monitor and all I do is use ENB's fram rate limiting at 59 fps. No colour issues at all. And I honestly cant remember the last time I ever had any issues in Skyrim with frame rate being too high. -
The record in your conflict resolution ESP will be the USKP one, with the exception being that the weight data in that record is 7 and not 4. The 7 having been added in from the WAF record. So yes your last sentence is what you need to do. I've not actually eyeballed the record in question cause I'm at work, though.
-
What you do is copy the record from USKP into your conflict patch and then copy the 7 from WAF into that same record in the conflict patch. You then get the USKP fixes and the WAF weight fix in the one record in your conflict resolution esp.

I don't mess with navmeshes. ever. With records from 2 patches like you mention above, I copy as an override the one that has most information first into my patch file, then look at the other file(s) and move only the changes I want. I'll find that often all that may need to be changed is things like Water Height, and if I need to add anything like 'totals' I just go back and fix that after. As for ones that are a mystery... I work on 1) Googling it and 2) If I'm still not 100% confident, I'll just leave it alone. To be honest though, I haven't seen this happen that often.
-
I usually do it by plugin. I go to the plugin I want to check and go through every conflict it has with anything else and fix/not fix depending on the result I want. For example, I'll go to ELE or ELFX first 99 times in 100 and make sure I'm getting the results I want there. Once I have the general visuals mods sorted I'll go to character ones and then armour and weapons ones etc. I always keep an eye out for things like unofficial patch fixes not being carried through into the winning plugin, though, and if I find one I pull it through. Once you get the hang of it and realise not all reds are something you necessarily want to or need to fix, it's pretty simple and you can fly through it all.

I'd remove the n.DDS file; it's no use to you without the file you originally deleted. -
ADAM is a pain in the gluteus maximus to install if you don't have all the DLC, sorry to say. Cause of the way it's packaged about the only way I could see it working is if you downloaded all you wanted, reordered it all and then repackaged it. Then it should work. However, it's a metric butt ton of work and you do have to have a little experience.

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Nozzer66 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Yep. When you make a mod from override it takes EVERYTHING. What you probably should have done was make a mod for the bashed patch first before you did the merged sandbox stuff. No biggie and easy to fix, though. Just make a folder for the Bashed patch and drop the bashedpatch0.esp in it to save confusion. -
Strange water glitch when using ENB with MO in Fallout 3
Nozzer66 replied to DimestoreDeity's question in Mod Organizer Support
I recently again redid FO3 and ran into this issue. I'd followed Kelmych's guide, except for ENBoost, knowing I'd add an ENB at the end. When I started over and added the ENB files at the time Kelmych's guide suggests adding ENBoost, the problem didn't occur. Was using MO. -
Help with LOOT: I need a plugin to load before another
Nozzer66 replied to Cookie_Dynamics's question in Other Utilities Support
You can eyeball the files that overwrite and are overwritten. But I take your point. If 'Load after' isn't working I really don't know what else there is to say. Other than it is possible to put multiple plugins in the Load After so that A loads after B, C, D, E and F... EDIT: In your situation, you won't be able to load an ESM AFTER an ESP anyway. It just can't be done, as the game will always load ESM's first. If the marriage mod wont work then you may need to make a patch. I've not used either mod enough to be sure about how they work together, I'm afraid. If that's giving you that error, It'll be something to do with your Loot rule trying to overwrite the masterlist in such a way that it cant resolve it. SO you get the cyclic warning cause you want A after B but the masterlist has it set that B should be after A. -
Help with LOOT: I need a plugin to load before another
Nozzer66 replied to Cookie_Dynamics's question in Other Utilities Support
The way I tend to do that is: let LOOT sort the plugins where LOOT sorts them. When LOOT's done its thing, I look at the load order it's given me, and if there's anything that sticks out as not quite where I want it, I just move it my hand. But you can use the Set Metadata in LOOT to ensure one plug in loads after as many others as you want, using the 'Load After' tab on the Set Metadata screen. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Nozzer66 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
@Luap... Paul Backwards. Nice. Us Pauls have to stick together. ;) It's showing as no MO cause it's been generated from a non MO application. Hence why it's in overwrite. Moving it into its own folder, restarting MO should recognise it's folder in the left pane. Clicking the 'mod' there will activate it like any other mod. No mess, no fuss. -
Working on SMC (Skyrim Mod Combiner) Files for STEP
Nozzer66 replied to eecer's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Personally, I prefer taking my time and fixing things as I go. I can understand how some would like the one button press and away you go set up, and that's fine, but if something does go awry, how can you determine where the issue is if you have 100 plus mods loaded at once? -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Nozzer66 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
You can also physically go to the Mod Organizer overwrites folder and move the Bashed Patch to another folder in the Mods folder. Call that folder Bashed Patch or similar. Drop the BashedPatch0.esp in there and you're still fine. So you go to your Mod Organizer mods folder, make a new folder. Call it Bashed Patch. Then go to your Mod Organizer overwrites folder. Grab the bashed patch from there and drop it in the folder you just made in the Mods folder. Then start up MO again, and you should see a mod in the left pane called whatever you called the folder. Activate that. That will activate your Bashed Patch0.esp in the right pane. :) With the merge script, if you extracted the archive into the already existing Edit Scripts folder, you're doing it wrong. Yoi should have extracted the archive into the New Vegas base folder, where FNVEdit is at, and the Edit Scripts folder from the archive would be merged into the already existing Edit scripts folder. With the ini tweaks, if you use the configurator it's almost impossible to mess it up. :) And finally, with the DLC issue, I know you mentioned you didn't want to lay out for them not knowing whether you like the game or not, but on Steam the DLC are extremely cheap, and if it turns out you don't like a DLC, just ignore it, like I tend to do. Still, I heartily recommend Old World Blues DLC, it's great fun. :) -
Missing (black/purple) Texture? Report it here!
Nozzer66 replied to Farlo's question in DDSopt Support
I've seen that happen with IA before. I suspect it's possibly a similar issue to the occasional missing NPC like the guy talking to Adriane Avenicci on the first entry to Whiterun etc. I think that cause when I did the small tweak to fix things like the missing NPC's the IA issue disappeared as well. May have been complete co-incidence, too. -
Automated Installation and Packs?
Nozzer66 replied to Barvis's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Almost guarantee you'd get at least one mod author who'd say no to that, unfortunately. -
If that ever happens again, though, you can click the 'News' link on the enbdev page, which links to a page where there's a link for downloads.
-
I turned up here at STEP having never modded anything before. If you're expecting STEP to 100% lead you from A to B to C to D and all you have to do is press the occasional download link, you're in the wrong place. You do need to think a bit. I'm now at the point where, if I add anything that makes a fairly substantial change, I'll look on the Nexus and see if there's patches for it. If not, I'll have a shot at making one myself. STEP gives you the tools and starts you on the path, however, it's not a travelator, you actually do have to make a few steps of your own.

Quick Conflict Resolution question
Nozzer66 replied to Heliadhel's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
not this one is it? -
Gotta say am really enjoying the Requiem changes. Still running the older version at the moment, and am doing a second profile for the new version. It was a challenge, but I have eventually managed to clear out Bleak Falls Barrow...
-
The second one is likely a new, uncleaned hearthfires.esm, then.
-
Always Ok to ask questions. When you got Steam to download it, what you got was the original, vanilla, uncleaned ESM, and Steam would have put that in the usual directory. That should mean that if you were to start Skyrim normally, unmodded, vanilla then that would be the ESM it used. Do you have the cleaned ESM as a mod in MO? If you do, you're in business, and MO will use that ESM when you start your modded game via MO. If you're not 100% sure, try cleaning the ESM it downloaded for you again. This time making sure you make the backup.
