That's a good question. It looks like the CoT Version of Undramatic ENB would be fully compatible with any CoT related mods because the mod author has removed the conflicting weather settings from the ENB. I don't use CoT anymore, just ENB Weather and Dramatic Clouds, it really gives me all I really want for weather effects. But, I liked CoT but feel a little bit more flexible in my mod selection without it. I really am liking this ENB Preset.

SKYRIMLE Follower Commentary Overhaul - FCO by terzaerian
Kuldebar replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah, Jon Battle-Born (modded follower) will talk while we travel on horseback, usually about the Greybeards or the dragon problems but also about bandits running amok in the province. He will also make the comments about caves, ruins and scenic views, as one would expect. -
SKYRIMLE Camping Kit of the Northern Ranger by The Northern Ranger
Kuldebar replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I debated between using this mod and Camping Lite by McGuffin . I ended up going with the latter because it was more straightforward. -
I haven't experimented with compression off in quite a while, but when I did (and I have) ...it wasn't positive for me...I had more stutter issues versus having none with it enabled. I had issues with ExpandedSystemMemoryX64 in the past, but I had more issues in the long run without that setting enabled. Also, the problems with CTD's faded away as I started upping ReservedMemorySizeMb and using "reality based" VideoMemorySizeMb numbers. Limited VRAM, as Keith said, means my 1GB physical VRAM GPU.
-
I've seen the lighting flashes but I associate them with dark rain clouds in the distance...haven't had them happen on a sunny clear day or anything. I just use Undramatic ENB and its provided weather along with Dramatic Clouds and Real Clouds.
-
I threw out the VRAM formula weeks ago and just started using my actual GPU Memory Amounts. In DXdiag it will tell you on the display tab what your approximate "total" video memory is and that's the best number to use minus a little bit overhead. For example: DXDiag tells me 4095 MB's, so I use 3968 for VideoMemorySizeMb. Weeks ago, with great success, I also have started using much larger ReservedMemorySizeMb settings. Boris has dropped a few bombs of late concerning how that settings interacts and the just of it is if you have limited VRAM, upping that setting to a larger percentage of you physical VRAM might be beneficial. I have 1GB VRAM, so I set mine at 512 or 768 depending on the ENB Preset that I am running. So, ENB is juggling my Skyrim with these settings: [MEMORY] ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true DisableDriverMemoryManager=false DisablePreloadToVRAM=false EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false ReservedMemorySizeMb=768 VideoMemorySizeMb=3968 EnableCompression=true AutodetectVideoMemorySize=false They are tailored to my system.

SKYRIMLE Follower Commentary Overhaul - FCO by terzaerian
Kuldebar replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The mod is still rough around the edges, I hear some things that simply don't belong in anyway shape or form contextually (like Hadvar's statements about getting out of the Helgen's cave system from an NPC in the Dragonsreach Throne Room. ) and NPC's tend to chatter to themselves even when no one is nearby. BUT, it still is a thing of beauty because the randomness often works rather well and some of the comments are hilariously appropriate. Some voice types don't work as well because they have relatively few lines, but all that is configurable via toggles/frequency. -
I applaud the ambition and the scope of the mod package...but CWO was singularly a bear to accommodate in a mod build, I can't even imagine it combined with everything else along with other mods. The mod author is very humorous concerning his mods, too risky for my game though. Too many moving parts.

Graphics/Shadow Issues: Desperate for Help!
Kuldebar replied to thunderclam's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Are you using parallax-ed textures and/or Temporal AA? Just suggesting that some, if not all, of the things in your quote could be caused or exacerbated by certain parallax issues or TA side-effects. Also, the whole non-native resolution thing is just begging for ripple-effects in your visuals...just think about all those horribly distorted pixels! -
SKYRIMLE Follower Commentary Overhaul - FCO by terzaerian
Kuldebar replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
This mod is a huge overhaul improvement and a solution to repetitive dialog that NPC's tend to have, I have noticed the mod impacts more than just potential follower NPC's...finally Farengar has some different and humorous idle chatter! -
You raise a good point. There's a little bit of mission creep here, the same in Dawn of Riften as well with the Blacksmith edits. I am mostly pleased with the aesthetic additions...the flavor stuff but some of the other stuff could have been left out, in my opinion. The mess the loose havoked items make in the town is somewhat annoying, after all if there's beer bottles all over the ground -they'd better be empty! :) I'll still keep this mod in my game, but I do wish some things would get addressed/fixed or made as modular options. Concerning the Festival Flags... From: BluePianoTwo I recently stopped using this mod due to the FPS hit I was getting (and didn't even realize until I tested it) -the frame loss is significant for me `10-12 FPS reduction...
-
Well, the update was nice, but the festival flags still tend to become invisible in certain lighting situations and viewing angles, from what I read on the enbdev forums, this usually has to do with the mesh/texture properties of the resource or occlusion planes.

@DoubleYou So, it's not just me "missing something" here? I am definitely open to any improvement in mod ordering, but I need to understand why the order would be so different than BOSS which has served me reasonably well for years now.

I downloaded and installed and ran LOOT...but the load order it generated was so insanely different than my previous stable BOSS Load Order that I simply can't trust the results. I mean, LOOT had WATER up near the top of the list, had my follower mods spread out in all sort of places. I can't reconcile the fact that its ordering would be so dramatically different than BOSS.

pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
Kuldebar replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
CJ: Has anyone else reported follower related pathing issues in Darkwater Crossing and/or Rorikstead? My followers always get "stuck" crossing the main bridge entrance into Dark Water and stall out and go inside certain store in Rorikstead every-time I go there. If I travel far enough away from the towns I can get my followers back under control, so it's certainly not gamebreaking, just weird. I'm using the REGS ETAC v3.22 and v3.22 Patches. Boss Sorted with custom USER List in place from the guide. -
If people can run it on their machines well enough, more power to them. As for myself, I took a different tack: Skyrim Performance PLUS by VirusType2 aka Vergis Does snow and pine needles, too. It's always nice to have options. :)
-
Probably depends on the ENB Preset. I use it with Undramatic ENB and it is, uh, very dramatic with volumetric rays and procedural sun. I don't use any weather related mods. As for lighting, just Relighting Skyrim and a couple of the ELFX Plugins that specifically support RLS.

DROPPED WATER - Water And Terrain Enhancement Redux (by SparrowPrince)
Kuldebar replied to Asimov's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I very much appreciate the the WATER mod design focus, I wouldn't want it any other way. I haven't had to bend over backwards to get my heavy mod build to work with WATER unlike some other water mods I have used in the past. :) -
You're right, of course, especially now that we have a reasonably safe script removal tool: ( Save game script cleaner by Hadoram ) I do have to watch out for papyrus Overload because I run a STEP-influenced but heavily non-STEP modded game...and it runs very well, zero CTD (by "zero" I mean based on 20+ levels with this character so far) , freezes or malfunctions, thankfully. :) TBH, I don't use Druid's Den (and otherwise excellent houses out there) because for full Hearthfires adoption compatibility you need a separate addon ( Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions ). That pushes me too far out of my comfort zone.
-
The storage features scared me off (and the evil mannequins) but it did look impressive. I use the following house and house related mods: Lakeview Manor Lights by GaryFishFX Thistle Cottage by Carah (no mannequin version ;) ) Riverside Lodge by Lupus (mannequin features can be disabled via control in game) Mammoth Manor by Lupus Breezehome TNF - Elianoras Flavour by goatk and Elianora Hjerim TNF - Hearthfire by goatk Proudspire Manor TNF - Hearthfire by goatk Vlindrel Hall TNF - Hearthfire by goatk Honeyside TNF - Hearthfire by goatk Obviously, I find Goatk's work to be of top quality and superior edits to the game provided player homes.

Haha! Funneh! TK Children is very impressive, I've been using it now for 18 levels on a new character. I don't use the "Bigger Head" mod because based on comments, that mod also modifies the non-TK Children's skeletons...so I stayed away from using that one. TK Children is superior to Xvision in the one area that matters most to me: it doesn't screw up children NPC's added by other mods. The urchins in Inconsequential NPC's, the children from Expanded Towns & Cities and other mods are left untouched.
-
Octo: Unless specifically instructed, ESM order isn't important or pertinent due to the very nature of ESM's. Yes, ESM ordering can, every now and then matter depending on the mod, but generally it doesn't at all. The Mod Author is the expected "expert" in regards to their own ESM's, so if they don't specify any special treatment than that will have to suffice. Take Skyrim Project Optimization by rgabriel15 as an example: Octo, some people think straight talk is rude. :)
-
Well, Xvision Childen Redone appears to affect all children, including those added by other mods which is a royal compatibility pain in the arse. I'm going to try TK Childen, and it's all totally your fault!
-
So it won't screw up children added by other mods? That's all I want, I don't care if ETAC Children are potato heads, but I don't want them to become bald, bug eyed monsters because of some conflict. :p
-
Xvision Children - Redone (the one on the Nexus) works well enough (and is far more complete and polished than TK Children) but it messes up children npc's added by other mods unless a patch has been made. ETAC is one such example, there's currently no compatibility between ETAC and Xvision Children - Redone. :(
