  1. I'm for the metric system to be adopted internationally. It's only a matter of teaching our (American) kids in school metrics. Should be an easy enough shift, in theory. Not many outside of the US know what a foot, yard, inch, mile, etc is. Then there is the southern states/country towns where mileage is converted into time and scenery. "Take this road for about 15 mins and the turn left at the white house with the oak tree in the front yard. Take that road for about 20 minutes til it ends. Turn right and keep following it until you see a 4-way stop, then turn left there. Follow that road til you hit the highway."
  2. NCIX has already shipped my order from them...that's what I call some fast service! Add at least two items from Newegg have shipped (Memphis). The rest must be coming from another warehouse. I can remember when Newegg only had one warehouse and everything was shipped from California. I remember that become one of my packages somehow took a trip to Hong Kong before coming to my door. (I think they overpaid shipping on that one).
  3. Not really an issue than more of an observation. Now that we're officially supporting MO, the wiki drop-down menu at the top of the forum should probably be switch to point to the MO Guide. It still points to the WB Guide.
  4. About 4-7 business days for it to be delivered. I never order unless it's in-stock and I only order from reputable companies with a long history of quality business. (Newegg and NCIX are two of those)
  5. Rig has been ordered! Part of it is coming via Newegg and the other part is via NCIX. This $1200 system best last me a while! ...well, $60 of it is a new router to upgrade my intranet to gigabit speeds.
  6. Tax returns have deposited! Maawhahahaha! Rig will be ordered tomorrow! ...or today! ...depending on your time zone. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  7. I've not heard of any issues with anyone using the alpha yet. It would seem that it's stable. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  8. If this is compatible with the current release, it should be uploaded to Nexus with the proper versioning added. ( 2.2.8a, 2.2.8b, etc ) This will probably change the overall version on the page though. Which could be good bc it'll notify the trackers; thus, the users that a new version is available. However, I don't know if we want the version to change like that. If not, you can just upload with the same version number (overwrite the old ones). I'm unsure if the trackers would pick this up or not. I haven't gone through the Nexus process but once so I don't remember how everything works from memory. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk. @Rechet Try the new SKSE alpha version with the memory patch in SKSE.ini active to see if that resolves your issues. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  9. You can play with this parameter to find your optimal setting. Somewhere in the middle might be better for those running lower quality shadows. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  10. I know. The posted threads are for review for the staff that weren't around when those threads took place.
  11. ATTK should be removed from the Guide. It's not a program we supoort nor is it something that anyone should be using (if they still have it since it's not been available for a long time). Support: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=1220&highlight=ATTK https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=1220&pid=33939#pid33939 EDIT: I've hid it in a HTML comment for the time being until another staff member agrees with its removal. At which time, edit the full page to remove.
  12. Truth be told, this mod isn't important to...well, anything. Some will argue that it provides more immersion but in the grand scheme, how often do you actually run into these NPCs? I know when I played I never ran into them unless I was looking for them.
  13. It's a thought but it's not really that big of an issue either because once mods are dropped they tend to eventually drop to the end of each forum as they go without any posts for a good while. In this way they eventually sort themselves to the bottom of their respected forums.
  14. There are a couple mods in STEP now that require all the DLCs as well as the STEP official patches so that is a requirement now, if I'm not mistaken.
  15. Well the Metro shouldn't be a reason to not use Windows 8 or at least try it out because you can easily boot to the desktop and install Custom Start which will give you the old Start Orb and it's menu back....making Windows 8 essentially an "optimized" Windows 7 install.
  16. We don't need to physically type out every mod that requires SKSE. That's what the SKSE flag is for. It's not really contradictory. We're just not telling you which version to use because if the SKSE implementation of the patch works out okay then there's no need to install either of the other two options. So right now it's up to the user to decide which they'd rather use.
  17. Because it makes stylistic changes the deviates from Vanilla.
  18. Yes, but personally I used to use the 512k version because 1k seemed a bit much for such a small thing on the screen.
  19. It's ordered in the way the installer has it ordered (using MO) unless CaBaL has changed the order for some reason in the installer. If you're not using MO then things might be worded differently for the WB installer which is moot anyway because STEP is now officially designed around MO, not WB.
  20. Colors are to distinguish groups and staff roles from one another. This is a project so you can't expect there to just be one or two groups. :)
  21. It took some time to get used to the new "Metro" (officially it's the "start screen" now) but once I did, I didn't mind it. I mainly just used the desktop and recent apps list to navigate. The only thing I didn't care for was the new settings menus. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  22. Typo on my part. I was only referring to IBs. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  23. :If you can clock a Haswell stable at 4.6 with 1.25v then you have a chip that's in the top 50% of chips and it's just luck of the draw on which you get. By the looks of it, Ubeogesh, you got a below average chip. Having to turn up your voltage that high just to get to 4.5 isn't very good. Most reviews I've seen people aren't willing to stay above 1.3v. That's the great thing about Haswell (not sure if previous gens had this) is that they clock down when not under load and clock back up when needed. It's a power saving feature of Haswell. So the chip might run at stock when you're browsing the net but when you're gaming or rendering the chip clocks up to 4.4. Regardless how high mine can clock, my goal is 4.4 and no higher. 24. I had no problem with Windows 8 until upgraded to 8.1. With Windows 8 you get higher minimums (fps) nearly across the board which can result in smoother gameplay. I think once it matures a bit, it'll be the system to use for gaming. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
