  1. There are too many mods in testing as once... at least three that affect the atronach?! ...and all conflicting! What are you people doing to me! Going to have to make a spreadsheet just to keep up with all of this...
  2. We have very little and possibly no mods in STEP that affect any Magic records; however, there has been some discussion of finding a mod or set of mods that overhauls the magic system in the game (because it sucks...especially when trying to play strictly a mage).
  3. After trying this out in-game for a while, I have to say that the only textures that seem okay for me were some of the ground textures such as the road and tundra areas. I didn't care for the "mossy grass" next the the rivers as they seemed to have some noticeable repeating patterns in some areas which grabbed your attention; thus, distracting you from exploring. The Tundra and Road textures I did like. They seemed to fit in well with the other mods and landscape. I tested this in two different positions in my install order. The first was at the bottom, allowing it to overwrite everything...not so good. i then tested it installed directly after SFO. This allowed the mod to mesh much better into the current STEP:Extended setup. My final opinion is that the textures are well done; however, I'm not fully convinced it fits into the STEP install well.
  4. Does this conflict in any way with the Ragdoll mod currently in STEP? (Realistic Ragdolls and Force)
  5. How is this mod doing in terms of testing? No updates on the OP and I don't really feel up to reading all 146 posts.
  6. Not the first thing I would think about clicking when looking for filtered results but I suppose it works.
  7. I like this and if, in fact, they are suppose to be transparent, then it's an obvious improvement. The only thing I don't like is that you lose some of the "rainbow" coloring from vanilla. Lore seems to support the transparency, Referring to it as an "ice" like ore.
  8. EDT-Earth looks the best, IMO.
  9. @All This thread has gone way off topic! Lets get back to talking about the mod and whether or not it's for STEP. I personally do not care for these and if they're not looking that great without an ENB then they're not for STEP and should be dropped from testing.
  10. It would be nice if there was a feature in the Mods forum for filtering the testing threads. The choices for the Support forums are "show answered", "show unanswered" and "show all". For the Mods forums, a "show mods in testing" could be added to the custom set of filters and any other useful topics of interest and might be a useful filter. The "Mods in Testing" feature is the one that would be most helpful and is the one I'm suggesting. If it can simply be added it to the list of custom filters that is already there on the Forums that would be awesome. I know I can advance search for the "testing" tag; however, this feature would cut out a few steps and make it easier and quicker.
  11. Have you or anyone else used this? I've seen it but have been unsure how it would fit into the game. My message notification on my phone is, "Commander, you've received a new message at you private terminal".
  12. I know. Users shouldn't be using any alpha/beta versions with STEP anyway unless they're doing a custom setup because STEP uses v1.87 Basic.
  13. Seems I'm already using 1.63. There are only 4 files that are not conflicting between these two mods, which are the four texture files: genericamulets.dds, genericamulets_n.dds, genericrings.dds, genericrings_n.dds. SMIM uses it's own file structure to provide the textures ( textuessmimarmoramuletsandrings ) and I'm not entirely sure how these textures may be conflicting because I'm not entirely sure how these custom file structures interact with the game. I would assume via ESP (which we disable?). We could simply have users hide the mesh folder for Jewels of the Nords since SMIM is now covering all of those. As for the textures...like I said, I don't know how these are handled in the game. We may be need to hind the genericrings texures and that would be that; however, at that point we'd only be using the mod for two of its textures. Really only one and its normal. So still unsure if that is worth keeping the mod for.
  14. Yes, meaning it'll probably have to be moved to conflicting graphics or some textures hidden so that SMIM takes priority for the rings. Fixing to install now so I'll update the wiki page and report anything else.
  15. For some reason I can not help myself when I see this server. I have to click it to use it! "N7"
  16. Even with the memory patch I would never play with anything higher than 7. What is Vurt smokin' over there because I want some?! Yes, my system could handle 15; however, does Vurt not realize this introduces other issues?
  17. @William Sonic: https://store.steampowered.com/app/202530/?snr=1_7_7_204_150_3 and Sonic: https://store.steampowered.com/app/203650/?snr=1_7_7_204_150_3
  18. Those are the tweaks we took out of the Guide. You can still use them, but we felt many didn't fit into our vision or could cause more issues so they were removed and put into an auxiliary guide.
  19. Did you reinstall? There's nothing missing in the mod.
  20. Ah. Okay. Good to know. Then we should at least mention somewhere on the Guide to ignore them.
  21. We should really do something about all these mod order warnings that MO is tossing from the Extended install.
  22. The file structure isn't even BAIN standards. Even a BAIN structure would have installed a lot easier. I'm considering asking the author if I could continue on some of his work because having now dissected the entire mod, there is a lot of it left unfinished and it doesn't look as though he/she is going to do it anytime soon. That is if I can even get in contact. So many of these authors are MIA.
  23. Enough of this issues and pain of installing this mod! I give to you...*drum roll*...a fomod! Two click install for STEP recommended options and you're done! You can download and install it from it's wiki page: https://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Redesigned (instructions included on page). I will contact the author about this fix.
  24. Give me til the end of day and I'll have my Extended profile set up and will post a picture of the plugin order that you can duplicate. Right now I'm creating something that everyone has requested.
