An official lighting solution will likely never be a part of STEP itself unless it's vanilla friendly and enhances vanilla. Packs are where you'll find different lighting solutions based on the author's preferences. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.

Increasing FOV also increases z-fighting so be careful doing that. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.

Does Skyrim support SLI well?
TechAngel85 replied to whateveryouwant's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Boys, play nice. @Kerith, Welcome to the forums; however, as you should have read in the Citizenship Guide when you signed up, we don't tolerate any flaming, whatsoever, towards other members here. Please note this when posting. Thanks and enjoy the forums. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk. -
The 2.2.8 guide has some direction on fixing this stuttering with ENBoost. I can't recall it at the moment but the guide with be released soon. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.

Nvidia beta 344/ENB .246 crash?
TechAngel85 replied to Sakedo's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Never use beta drivers unless you just want to experiment. Roll back your drivers and see your issues (hopefully) fixed. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk. -
ACCEPTED Skyrim Project Optimization (by rgabriel15)
TechAngel85 replied to Besidilo's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The LQ and HQ tags mean that there is a lower or higher quality version offered compared to the STEP recommendations (baseline). Not sure if that's true for this mod. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk. -
@admin and Mods, I know there's a lot to do but I hope you guy have been able to keep up with the anthology threads. There's a lot going on over there that will probably affect the Guide and STEP mods. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.

A quick start tab at the beginning that contains all the info that corresponds to the STEP Guide should be all that is needed. Then advanced users can dig deeper into this guide if they wish. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.

Those benches aren't unless. Even if they're not modded benches anyone with a lick of common sense can still evaluate their card with the vanilla benches and compare it to other cards on the same benchmark. It'll give a rough compare of how the card stacks up to others. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.

Okay... sounds like everyone is in agreement with this one. Drop it for 2.2.8. -

"Slight pause between lines" version might fix this rather than the "no pause" version. -

I agree and if this is still in moderation when 2.2.8 is released then it needs to be removed from STEP. -
ACCEPTED Enhanced Blood Textures (by dDefinder)
TechAngel85 replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
That should be done before 2.2.8 is released. Whether or not it will be is not up to me atm since I'm out of commission until my rig is built. -

STEP will be (or should be if it hasn't been forgotten) switching to Smart Souls for the 2.2.8 release. -

No, we'll have to see what comes of the moderation whether or not this stays in STEP -

Well the Asus I chose is a $160 monitor; however, being open box it's within my $130 budget. I'd never spend $600 dollars on a monitor. To me you're getting into professional quality in that price range and that's not what I'm looking for here. The most professional I get is Adobe Premiere from time to time and I don't do any graphic artistry. Just videos and gaming.

A note on AF... Quite some time ago I did comparisons on the AF between game, driver and ENB. The overall winner was driver AF (for nvidia at least) by the slightest margin. So unless Boris improved ENB AF since around release v.119, I would assume that drive AF is still the best. The difference performance wise was the same and the difference quality wise was only noticeable at the very farthest distances; however, with the memory patch and people upping the uGrids this might be more important than it used to be for those looking for the very best quality.

I'm trying to stay around the $130 (US) range. Viewing angle is important to me due to the fact that I'm coming from a laptop where if your angle isn't just right the brightness and colors are off. Correct colors are obviously important as well; however, I'm not looking for a professional monitor that displays nearly precise colors used by graphic artists. This is the new one I'm looking at: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236335R

I'm not going with a TN if I can help it because of the viewing angles. I'm attempting to get a IPS on a budget. lol

Thanks for the input guys. I think I've stumbled upon an open box Asus that I'm going to go after for now. The monitor of this build is the one component that keeps changing because every time I find one I like and add it to my wishlist, it goes into "discontinued".

What do you guys think of this monitor? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014299
