  1. Confirmed that it's working now.
  2. I am confirming this error. I know with the switch there are going to be some bugs to weed out.
  3. I'm moving it right now. Here's hoping. If it works, I'll continue installing Extended and once my new drive comes in hopefully it'll just be a copy and paste to get up and running again.
  4. Question. When I set up my partition on my temporary hard drive I only gave it limited space. If I wanted to install extended I would have to expand this space. I'm wondering if i could simply move my entire MO directory to another partition without issue or if that would break things?
  5. Many of the textures in this mod I would consider "stylistic" changes which doesn't meet Core or Extended Mandate. They are CaBaL's interpretation of vanilla as far as I can tell. This interpretation is much "cleaner" than vanilla. It's not bad, that's not what I'm saying. Most the textures are well done. I'm simply saying it may not be for STEP.
  6. All ENBs are installed in the Skyrim directory and not the Data directory; however, they may come coupled with resources that can be installed in the Data directory. Such as reworked foliage, weathers, etc.
  7. Anything that is installed in the Data folder can be installed via a mod manager, if set up properly.
  8. Question is, how was a user able to create a thread in MT? Thought that was disabled.
  9. Thanks. I am American but am also one of the few I know that actually uses that expression correctly ... I refrained from correcting Tech so as not to be too annoying, but, since you mention it, I concur :D :P
  10. Hmmm...okay. Been working on the Mod Testing Guide again and was wanting to post a thread at the top of the MT forum with a bunch of quick reference info for those doing testing. But I can wait. The guide needs reworked anyway since MO is officially endorsed by STEP now.
  11. You shouldn't have a any red X's next to any mods if you installed them correctly. I just completed the STEP:Core install and I had none. You've probably not restructured some mods correctly at install. There are several mods that their folder structure is not set up correct via the authors; however, these are easily corrected at install. If you install a mod and MO warns you that the structure is "not good" or "bad", then you'll have to restructure that mod. Usually these are mods that have the other folders besides the Data folder in the file structure. Such as: Mod Archive 1024x1024 Data2048x2048 DataHere you can see the mod archive actually has two subfolders in it. One for the 1K version of the mod and one for the 2K version. Each subfolder has a Data folder within it. This is not a structure that MO can handle automatically; thus, MO asks for your input to correct the structure. If you wanted to install the 1K version of the mod, you would simply right-click on the Data folder under the 1024x1024 folder and choose "Set as Data". This will tell MO to ignore the other folder (2048x2048), you'll see MO restructure the files according to your choice and then it'll give you "Looks Good" message. Then you simply click to install the mod. You can also move files around by dragging and dropping them where needed. You'll have to do this to install Skyrim Redesigned properly; unless you restructure it outside of MO before you install it.
  12. FOMODs are usually quick and simple to make for most mods. Just grab a complex mod with an installer (such as SMIM or RW2) and start learning! If you already know HTML/XHTML/CSS, then it should be fairly easy and quick to pick up on. I think my first FOMOD took about an hour (maybe two) to create but that was because I was learning how to write them. The second one I created took literally no more than 10mins.
  13. Sorry but that is why the staff has taken the time and effort to create and write those guides. They are there for those that need to learn more about specific programs, can do so without taking a lot of our time explaining information that is already readily available to those that are willing to put out the effort to read and learn.
  14. Is there a way to stick a sticky (important) thread so that it remains at the top regardless of the other sticky threads? And then make that thread only editable by those with the privileges to do so such as staff members? (Similar to the announcement threads)
  15. You need to read the MO Guide: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer
  16. What? Skyrim Revisited isn't a mod...did you mean Skyrim Redesigned? Because if so, yea, it really does need a FOMOD. I had to restructure that whole mod myself and it took a little while. Sorry, that is what I meant. Will correct. Yep! They were .tri files. We should instruct users on what do to with these files. The only three mods that created Overwrite files were Elys-AltF4, RaceMenu and the Bashed Patch.
  17. The spirit of this mod is when you set off a trap it should alert nearby enemies (unless your enemies are completely dimwitted). That is the purpose of this mod. You make a loud noise, enemies are alerted. In that there is an optional available that I think we should consider adding. This is "Mining Makes Noise". Why? Well...because it does! It adds the same functionality as the main mod, but for when you are mining ore. If traps alert nearby enemies, so should mining in an area with enemies nearby. Really a no-brainer, IMO. As for the Traps are Dangerous main file, I'm not completely sold on it. Someone will have to convince me of it's merit.
  18. I've tested this out in-game and can't reproduce these issues in a pure Core setup. No popping, no flickering/shimmering with 4x4 AA (supersampling) via the graphics driver (nvidia GTX 760 4GB) on the non-sail version running at 1080. Regardless, the sails version still makes more sense to me.
  19. Stop using that, it is still new. Use real BOSS. EDIT: when you make your 2.2.9 profile drop the move it dammit. Okay. Still just looking over 2.2.8, tho. I've just finished installing Core and everything seems to be good. Easy installation; however, I'm also no beginner but didn't find any outstanding issues. Running smooth at 60FPS. I did make a few notes: SMIM - we need to determine if we want sails or no sails on the windmills. Will be updating over in the Anthology thread for this.Skyrim Redesigned - desperately needs a FOMOD. I'll probably be making one for this mod later.Traps Make Noise -Â has several optional files that we should look at. Will be posting this over in Anthology as well.A note should be added to the end of the guide in Post Installation to revisit the STEP Patches, active them, move them, where to place them, etcI fixed a couple of things as I was installing. Noted them in the changelog. (just mod note updates) I only ran into one issue. I was simply moving right along in my installation and noticed at some point there were files in the Overwrite folder. These were Meshes from some mod within the first three sections somewhere (estimation). I had absolutely no idea which mod they came from and the only why to find out would be to extract every archive until I found it. So I simply deleted them. The other files in there were from Elys-AltF4 so those were easy to take care of because the files had the Elys-AltF4 name in them. It would be wise to note any mods that leave files in the Overwrite folder in the respective mod's notes so that users will not run into this issue and can handle the files right then and there before moving on with the STEP installation. I still don't know which mod the meshes came from, but when I do my reinstall on my new hard drive I'll be sure to pay closer intention and make a note in the mod's notes.
  20. Add MoveitLWT.esp to that list above. I tried external BOSS. Worked okay. The internal Sort feature for MO is not recognizing them, tho.
  21. Soul Gems Differ - E.esp and Improved Combat Sounds v2.2.esp are not recognized by BOSS. There are no instructions on their placements. Is bottom of the list okay or do need to instruct users to place them somewhere as we do for SkyFalls and the Closed Face helmet patch?
  22. Thanks again! Updated mod page note and reflected update in the changelog.
  23. Thanks! Updated mod notes with instructions and reflected update on the changelog.
