Yes, well said. Just as many "sciency types" can't understand many things about certain peoples views, at the same time many of those people can't understand how the "sciency types" can't understand theirs. The single largest example of this is religion. Most sciency types don't understand or believe in a deity be it God, Ala, Buddha, etc because there is no proof yet the other side of that coin are the people that do believe and say you don't need proof. That it's called faith. I've had experiences in my life that I can't prove that they were anything beyond a release of chemicals and their reactions in my body but my faith tells me otherwise.

Just to test it out... same result with Firefox mobile browser.

I discovered this because I'm attempting to do away with Tapatalk and just use the mobile version of the forums which is quite good, btw. The mobile version of the forums work fine until you log in. When not logged in, you can browse the forums and everything loads a-okay. As soon as you log in and try to browse, you'll notice the threads no longer load. I have no idea what could cause this. I've verified it on both Dolphin and Chrome mobile browsers.

I asked myself the same thing. lol @Nerox Your points are fair enough. However, there are enough evidence and people in higher positions of governments and military saying it is true to peak my interest and make one wonder.

I would say that you are probably right here. However, you can't erase the fact that many of these men have openly admitted to the goal of "One World Organization and Government and Currency". Which if you believe in the Christian Bible and have Revelations these things should scare the begeebees out of you. Again, not to sound like a conspiracist, but the mainstream media (including papers) are controlled by the dollar that owns them. If that dollar doesn't want the news told it's not. If that dollar wants the news told in a slanted manner. It is. At any rate you can find the quotes from all sorts of people in power both in writing and on video (a few are in the Thrive video) saying that, "yes, there is an alien coverup"

I'd say at least 50% of the conspiracy theories make a fair bit of sense when looked at with an open and unbiased mind. If thing else I did learn one new thing from watching this film: Satyagraha Gotta love Gandhi!

ACCEPTED Better Shaped Weapons - BSW (by masterofshadows and LeanWolf)

I do the same but move this patch to directly under the DSR mod in the installation order. This might not be the proper way of doing this but the patch doesn't conflict with anything so I didn't see it hurting anything either. There are no instructions on the wiki page on what to do with the patch once created. @CJ2311 You are correct. I just tried installing only the patch in the installer and it results in an empty mod. This means we'll have to use the load order: DSR>>BSW (no BSW-DSR patch unless manually created). If you go by the 2.2.9 Guide that means BSW will have to be put into 2.N Patches under DSR. Or we move DSR back up to Fixes. -
That is quite a list of fallacies. lol! I did read the debunked article and found it to be bias but even so they didn't outright deny any of what was in Thrive besides the free energy machines. The point wasn't Thrive anyway as I even find their web site a little out there (looks like their trying to build Utopia). The point was some of the message being presented of which 3/4 wasn't even over anything about science. I understand scientist's points of view and their nature well. I know they need the evidence sitting in their hands before believing most things in the science world. One scientist can make a discovery and the rest may not believe it until they have the scientific paper in their hands and/or reproduce the results themselves. That is all good and well because that is how science works; however, it's also causes new ideas and truths forever to grab on and many never do because so few scientist are willing to try to reproduce the results when the idea or theory is too far out there. In fact, I love listening to Michio Kaku simply because sometimes the guy is just out there where few others dare to go. You really want to get out there in contradictions (and these are things no one on these forums knows about me): I'm gay. I'm a man of faith and believe in God (know that I'm going to Heaven when I die). I believe there are some truths in most religions. I also believe in alien life and some of these "conspiracies". Now if that isn't a ball of contradictions bundled up into one person, I don't know what is!

DROPPED Skyrim Flora Overhaul (by vurt)

That those are the two example I can think off all the top of my head. When doing the quest or event about killing a Giant, it completely automatically without you doing anything. The other is what Z mentioned. At high uGrids, (and is an engine limitation is my understanding) if you get too many NPC and creatures loaded you'll run into what Z describes which isn't game breaking but definitely immersion breaking when you have bandits just staring at you like they're idiots. This has something to do the a limitation of the engine only being able to have so many creatures/NPCs active at one given time. This would also happen with uGrid of 5 if you manually loaded too many hostiles at once. I couldn't find a youtube video but here is the thread: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/4185-enemiesfollowers-not-attacking/ EDIT: Read your guide for uGrids. It's basically the same thing as we're doing with STEP, but I use SKSE 1.7 alpha instead of SSME. Works the same. So, yes, with this uGrids should be stable if the system can handle it. I think I'll personally set mine to 7 and start from there. The only way to know what is truly affected by the higher uGrid is to play the game through. -

The DSR's patch is not what we're talking bout. There is a patch for this mod for DSR and is installed during the mod installation. For 2.2.8, this patch can be installed inline with BSW. For 2.2.9, we'll have to install BSW twice. Once of the mod and once of the BSW DSR Patch that will have to be moved to the bottom of the load order. Or are you saying that DSR's patch form the DSR mod should be at the bottom anyway? I merge all the patches into DSR itself and have the DSR Output directly after the the DSR mod in my installation order. No apparent issues from doing this. -
S4N is supposedly working on a solution: Highline....Highwire...High*something*....but there is no ETA. It's extremely difficult to do mod testing where compares are needed atm.

And most of the people in the world thought the Earth was flat at one point in time until someone proved differently. Think outside the box as most of the great minds of our time did. If most of them were grounded by what the world said to be truth rather than thinking what can be true then we'd never have "scientific breakthroughs". The world of science as we know it would never change because no one is asking the hard questions and no one is finding out that what we thought we knew was actually wrong. Read reply above and my post above that. You (you as meaning scientific types, not you personally) are one of the main reasons I don't discuss this stuff often. (nothing personal towards you) Though not intended, you're basically making me feel like I'm crazy and a quack for expressing my views. It's okay to disagree but in the right way. Just because the "laws" say it is impossible doesn't mean they're impossible. (See articles below) I try not to be closed to new possibilities and don't go off what is "known" and largely accepted which is what I meant by "drinking the kool-aid". The fact of the matter is that these devices work. The research and papers exist proving they work. We're humans and learning new things all the time. If we put ourselves in a box and say this can't be true because such as such scientific law says it can't be true then the Earth would still be flat and we'd still be the center of the universe with everything else orbiting around us. I'm not saying they're popular ideas, in fact, I said they weren't popular. Here are some articles that defy physics: https://www.livescience.com/16183-faster-speed-light-physics-breakthrough.html https://www.theverge.com/2013/1/4/3834914/scientists-breach-absolute-zero-barrier https://www.cracked.com/article_19668_6-scientific-discoveries-that-laugh-in-face-physics.html https://phys.org/news166077673.html What I mean by saying "mainstream media", I mean all news channels and major network news. Mainstream media is so slanted it's funny. We had to do a research paper and article on this in my college Current Events class. Most of us were shocked just how slanted the media was when you compared what the media were saying to what your research found to be true. I haven't paid any attention to mainstream media since. If there is something I want to know more about, I'll go find the answers myself. As for this being on STEP, that is why it's in the Banter Inn. Free speech in this forum to talk about anything and everything you desire was long as you're not breaking the forum rules.

ACCEPTED Better Shaped Weapons - BSW (by masterofshadows and LeanWolf)

I meant installation order. I was under the impression that the reflection effect are done via meshes. From the author, "skysan4298's refraction technique added to my glass and stalhrim meshes, it makes them reflective and shiny. These can be used as-is for shiny opaque weapons (looks cool) or with his mod for transparency (overwrite his meshes)." Sounds to me as if it works on its own. Octopuss, you need to learn to read the mod pages. From the author, "Dual Sheath Redux patch: overwrite the DSR meshes." Roots is running off of 2.2.9 by the sounds of it. The recommended installation order is fine for STEP 2.2.8; however, will change for 2.2.9 because DSR is moved to the bottom. Most likely we'll just install the patch as a standalone mod after DSR for 2.2.9. I'm recommending a 2.2.8 installation order because we have a lot of users that install mods as soon as they're accepted. Install DSR patch. Custom Installation. Skip all quivers. Nord Hero - Nord Hero Swords. More Options - All. Glass sword with refraction. Chillrend with refraction. Dawnbreaker A. Dragonbone - DragonBoring. Stalhrim with Refraction. These are the options I used and should pretty much just replace vanilla with the exception of the refracted weapons. -
That is one of the reasons I'm trying to push some of these out as accepted or not. Unfortunately that is just going to be one of the cons of having the forum set up like the admins wanted it. Once a few of us, or even just one of us, goes into testing mode, the first page is just going to be taken over.

DROPPED Skyrim Flora Overhaul (by vurt)
TechAngel85 replied to JudgmentJay's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
This is pretty well put. You're basically loading the entire game (graphics, scripts, quests, etc) at a further distance away from the player. As TehKaoZ put it, this breaks a ton of things in the game, mainly dealing with quests. You're also greatly increasing the load on your system. Loading uGrids to 15 will greatly reduce performance and even cripple some systems. That's even if you can get it to load. uGrids 7 is fairly unstable in the vanilla game and trying to push that to 15 in vanilla is impossible. The only way you'll even get 15 to load is with the new Memory Patch included in the SKSE alpha build. -

DROPPED The Skyrim Distance Overhaul (by Grieche)

Any low to mid range system testing will do. Z and I are on fairly good systems so the performance aspect isn't an issue. The swamps only bring me down around 50 on average on Ultra and everything maxed out. -

I don't know how that statement came about but we are. We install the entire creatures pack for BoS. As for the leaves, they're just as busy on Ren's...and gold/yellow... -
I've heard of this one. The video mentions several more that are all cheap, produce more energy that it takes to run them and could be very easily be implemented today; however, none have gain support by any government due to "big oil". It all comes down to money and power. People can't make money on something that produces it's own infinite energy and could be installed in any home any where. Don't believe in life in the entirety of the universe besides us on own little tiny blue rock? The odds are much more likely that there is life than not. Governments from around the world have released once classified information regarding this and have said, "yes, it's true and here's the proof that we've held from the public". Mexico, the UK and France have all done this. The US is still holding that info for themselves for the time being. Even so, retired military and government officials and officers (over 500 of them) have gone on record saying, "yes, it's true and we were ordered to keep it quite and classify it". The information is out there if you're willing to find it. The thing is that the universe is so massive that there are hundreds of billions of galaxies out there all with hundreds of trillions of stars in them each. If only 1% of those stars had planets orbiting around them and only 1% of those had life and then only 1% of those had intelligent life then there would literately still be hundreds of millions of different races/species of alien life out there besides us. Most of which are probably just like us wondering if there is other life in the universe besides them and a privileged few that know the answer to that question. I don't usually openly discuss this type of stuff and typically keep it to myself because most people are going to look at you like you're nuts due to the fact that most people drink the kool-aid of society and just try to "fit it" with everyone else. They don't want to be label a "weirdo" because that is what society has taught us about these types of topics. Society teaches that if you don't fit into the cookie cutter then your abnormal and an outcast.
