  1. i am and linking to it within the page that needs to render the CSS. I haven't tried doing it in-line on the actual page yet. But I have a feeling it's something to do with the wiki rendering tags.
  2. The only thing I think of is to make sure you match your framerate to your refresh rate. If your refresh rate on your TV is 24FPS, which is often the case on HDTVs, then you need to limit your framerate to that as well. EDIT: Clarification: If your refresh rate on your TV is 24FPS, which is sometimes the case on HDTVs when streaming HD content via any method from another device, then you need to limit your framerate to that as well.
  3. Is there a way to change the background image of a single wiki page from the default Skyrim image? For example, if a user is creating a guide for a different game other than Skyrim, they'd be able to change the background image to something from that game. I've tried this CSS code: body{height: 100%;width: 100%;background: url('URL TO IMAGE') no-repeat;background-position: 50% 50%;}It should work in theory; however, it's not. In fact, when I use the code all other CSS formatting is eliminated from the page. Very strange.
  4. I stand corrected... @ Z and s4n... This is very annoying and inconvenient. Google Drive no longer works which is the service I've been using for well over 6 months for this. Imgur can still be used; however, it's not ideal because it's limited in the amount of picture that can be uploaded. I don't like being forced to use either Imgur or Dropbox and nothing else. I would challenge to say that extensionless links are well within being the "norm" for these types of services as it provides a (albeit small) level of security. When a few of the top services are doing this then I feel we should support these services. I see no reason as to why we can't as it's never been enforced before and never caused any issues before...unless there is a major security risk in the background with the new forum by doing so. Anybody that considers themselves a "power user" these days is going to have either a Google Drive or Dropbox account. I prefer Google Drive because it integrates seamlessly into my life and suits all my needs without having to have extra programs. With Dropbox you only get 2GB of space, and yes you can increase it by getting others to sign up or whatever but that's not a real solution for more space. Google Drive provides 15GB of free space! Cutting off extensionless links is also cutting off a lot of people and forcing them to use a specific service. I'm officially requesting this feature be allowed, please! Google is integrated into every thing from my phone to my computer to my documents. Being forced to add more unnecessary apps to my phone and computer is just annoying.
  5. They are by default, private. You can changed this by right clicking on the file, hover over "share", and then click on "share". it will open a windows with the link. Below the link you can change the permissions. Same as above. The link is provided in the share window. EDIT: Nevermind... the admins seem to be forcing extensions now because it's worked before using that link...now it's not. This is very inconvenient and annoying being forced to use a different service as I've used Google for this for well over 6 months.
  6. You can't copy from my Google Drive or any Google Drive like that. You could if you had your own Drive account by right clicking the image in the Drive account and selecting "share". You can do this either online or with the app.
  7. I updated your post Z. Google Drive does both. You can link to a folder which will provide a gallery view of the photos as seen here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B1_Nlyy2ueu0elQzTTUxd0oweHc&usp=sharing or you can grab the URL (with extension) for each picture. This works just like Dropbox because I've used both but prefer Google Drive. Imgur (corrected your spelling ) also provides both. You can get a gallery view or you can click on the individual picture to get several options to share it. So I can confirm both these services work since I've used both after the forum switch.
  8. This. You can delete the BCF files. They are of no use to you. The only file you need is the mod itself that you should have downloaded from Nexus like all the other mods. Installing that file from Nexus will give you the "wizard" that allows you to install the recommended options.
  9. Even at 2.5GB on for the game you can get a RAM based crash. This is because other things are using that memory too. So if you're crashing when adding in more textures, it's most likely a memory limit you're hitting. You should be using ENBoost (not a complete ENB) as it's set up in the STEP guide and you can use SKSE's memory patch as well. When resetting to Vanilla, don't forget to also reset your INIs to default and start from scratch there as well. A stable game is a game that does not crash... Try resetting your game back to a completely vanilla state as well as INIs. Then install only ENBoost (not your complete personal ENB) and SKSE with memory patch. That should be your 100% stable and crash free foundation. Test it and if it is, move on to installing STEP.
  10. The BCFs are for Wrye Bash users. You don't need them. This mod should install via the FOMOD installer in MO which will allow you to make the recommended choices.
  11. A moderator or staff member can mark a thread as solved once it has been.
  12. Octopuss, You need to uninstall all your non-STEP mods and get your game stable with just STEP installed before adding in any extra mods. STEP is running stable on hundreds of systems with no issues so it's not STEP that is the issue. STEP is thoroughly tested at each releases before it is released to the public. The extra mods is the source of your issues. Once you're stable on STEP, then you can start adding in extra mods one by one and testing them as you go for issues. If an issue is found with one of the extra mods, then you'll need to correct the issue with a patch and using TES5edit. If it can't be corrected, you're just out of luck. One of the two (or more) conflicting mods will have to be removed. No one is going to be able to help you sort out your mod issues if you're not willing to do this to get your game back to a stable condition.
  13. If you follow the STEP guide and don't use an ENB, then yes, you might be able to use this card just fine. I'd estimate you'd get in the 30-40FPS range. However, that's not what was asked so I answered based off what you were wanting to do. If you're looking to upgrade, it all depends on how much you're wanting to spend. I recently bought a GTX 760 4GB for around $300 and eats a STEP modded Skyrim up and spits it out like child's play (I'm not currently using an ENB though). Even chews up Crysis 3 on very high settings and keeps it in the 50-55FPS range. However, I doubt you're wanting to spend that kind of money. You can find a GTX 650Ti for around $130 or a GTX 660 for around $190 right now. Both are good cards and are the previous generation so they'll last you a good while longer. Comparable cards on the AMD side are going to be your Radeon 7850 and 7870 which will run you between $160-$200. However, the Radeon R270 may give you slightly better performance over the NVIDIA cards mentioned above for around the same price. The Radeon R270X should out perform all of the above mentioned cards for around $200.
  14. No need. Just needed to know the model. You will struggle to run a fully modded Skyrim @ 1920x1080 with that card. The card could probably run a fully modded skyrim; however, the resolution is going to be the issue. The higher the resolution the more powerful card you need to maintain playable frame rates. Adding in an ENB will most likely be crippling to your frame rate as well on that card.
  15. Dropped out of testing. Staying with current STEP. Thread locked. Was only used for testing purposes. Please go to thread in Anthology to post about HD Enhanced Terrain.
  16. The mod author seems to have separated these files into two downloadable files and done away with the FOMOD for these two mods (the one linked and the one being installed in the image).
  17. Can you be more specific on the video card. What model is it? GTX ### (M or no M) 1GB For example: GTX 650 1GB or GTX 550M 1GB
  18. We have it set up on the mod page so that all users can get their systems set up properly: https://wiki.step-project.com/ENBoost#Recommendations Just follow the instructions, getting the injector version instead of the wrapper version. There shouldn't be any "guess work" involved when setting up ENBoost.
  19. Or stop abbreviating less known mods....I have no idea with I.L.S would be in terms of a mod name...
  20. This is great though. It's the heart of the cathedral view of modding and more often than not these projects turn out some really excellent and ingenious work. Not only are there many mods which provide proof this view works such as Requiem, but there are also other project such as STEP and the FNV guide. People come together to work on these projects simply because they care about them and what they are achieving. No money or prizes are involved. The reward is the product of the work being done. These type of things greatly inspire me! I wish the real world worked more in this way. STEP has a proven methodology that works. Although our main focus is Skyrim (until the next Elder Scrolls is released), I can see the STEP forums becoming a hub for many other Guides for other games in the future. FNV is likely to be the next one if it really takes off and if it does, I can see a whole set of users with roles to management just that project as it is with STEP. Who knows, in a couple of years STEP could become a cornerstone to the modding community regardless of the game being modded, just as Nexus has become one now that they are open to all games. Just imagine... "STEP:Skyrim, STEP:FNV, STEP:Witcher3, STEP:MassEffect, STEP:Sims3" ...okay, maybe that last one was pushing it. EDIT: On 2.2.9.... just so you're and everyone is aware, I'm back into full swing (got tired of waiting on my new hard drive which never worked when it arrived). I've been pushing the testing threads along and have dropped or accepted a few already. I haven't made changes to reflect in the 2.2.9 changelog yet, but will soon. For now, I have it all recorded in my personal notes that I keep when doing new releases.
  21. Thanks for the clarification on those points, kryptopyr. In light of all this information, I'm marking this as accepted for Extended inclusion. If we feel we need to modify the MCM options away from the defaults, please discuss this further and include your reasoning for the change. Marked as accepted.
  22. Moderators, Staff and admin do not have rep buttons on their posts.
  23. Regardless, it's one of the most active single threads on the forum. I intend to use it once I start playing that game but I'm going to finally finish the Mass Effect Trilogy before doing so.
  24. Okay, I've read this entire thread and have gathered the most important information on it for STEP inclusion: Mods that Conflict "Bring Out Your Dead, where 4 NPCs won't have the BOYD script attached to them anymore." This is the only reference I found of a STEP mod conflict that hasn't been addressed/resolved.Ars Metallica will be dropped if this is accepted. Plugins to Eliminate and Load Order [*]Load Order: [*]Improved Closefaced Helmets_Legendary.esp loads after Clothing & Clutter Fixes [*]Plugins: [*]aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp is not needed if aMidianborn_Book of Silence_CCO is used Other Issues Animations do not play in 3rd person for smelter and tanning rack. Only resolution would be to have the experience from these be included and not optional. No resolution is planned at this time. MCM Settings The only mention of the MCM settings to use was by Z. He stated the defaults should be left as is because Kry set them to be the most compatible with other mods. STEP:Core vs STEP:Extended Z - Earlier in the thread Z thinks this is right for Core as the default MCM settings can be considered fixes. Later in the thread, Z states it's right for Extended. Conflicting votes here so need some input from Z.Kelmych and Roots voted for Extended.Several members have voted for its inclusion but not specifically Core or Extended. No other staff have chimed in on this. I myself am unfamiliar with even the vanilla crafting because I rarely used it as I mainly play mage characters. Therefore, I'm leaving this one up to the remainder of the staff. I think it's clear this will be added. If Z will chime in and clarify his vote, I think we can get this one out of testing as "accepted".
  25. The other games could be brought up to under the Townships Forums. That way everything Skyrim and STEP related will remain the focus. EssArrBee's guide is popular enough that it could be brought up a level without issue. It has become the "STEP" for Fallout: New Vegas much like SR:LE has become the STEP alternative for Skyrim.
