Absolutely. It will not cause any issues. -

That conflict control for setting hotkeys in MCM should become a standard! -
Well, coloring is all subjective so just try it and see. :: For example, the ELFX/CoT image above is far too orange for my tastes. I personally use Vivid Weathers rather than CoT, but some of it's fires are too orange as well. Fire light is nowhere near that orange. It's just something I've decided to live it to benefit from the extended weather system, though.

I've started a list in the OP of oddities or things I feel could use some attention from the author. Please add to this list as you experience such things.

Okay, so I've ran through Bleak Falls Barrow on my playthrough and popped in and out of the game comparing these to STEP. I love these textures. They create a far better atmosphere! However, Greg's shots for the egg sacks are not entirely accurate (at least not for the 2K version I used). I don't like Webs Extended's egg sack texture as it's a stark contrast to the rest of the textures. Therefore, I would suggest hiding the meshes and *02*.dds texture/normal for these so that it uses what you see in Greg's shots above. On that note, I vote these for Core to replace Intricate Spider Webs.

No, I would agree that the doors are fairly loud. Whiterun gate, dragonsreach, Bleak Falls Barrow...all fairly loud. Pretty sure there's not a "door" audio slider. . Haha! I'm using headphones listening to everything. Footsteps was the very first thing that jumped out at me. Doors was the second. There's also some funky sound in the ambient loop between Whiterun and Riverwood at night. It almost sounds like a woman screaming but only seems to play once during the loop. Not sure what that is, but it did catch my attention.

Higher or lower priority. Aka, it's position in the left pane.

That's pretty much normal lighting for STEP. It doesn't change much from vanilla using only STEP.

If files are hidden, it's because they were winning conflicts which we didn't want them to win. Simple as that.

Depends on the money you want to spend! The GTX 1060 / 1070 / 1080 are the best in the market right now. The GTX 1060 and AMD RX 480 are comparable cards in terms of performance.

Ah! I haven't been in the audio menu for so long that I didn't realize! I'll use that to turn it down. I'm sure all those settings are at vanilla levels in my setup because I never adjust them. Thank you for the reminder! EDIT: So far, I can recommend this mod but I would like to test it out some more. I'm just getting into Bleak Falls Barrow so I'll be experiencing the dungeons soon.

Footsteps has a dedicated slider?

My (very) initial impression of this mod is the ambience is very good. The sounds you hear while just exploring are great. My one negative thus far are the footsteps are too loud in every situation I've heard them in. Ground, wood floor, stone floor, wood walkway...they're all too loud. Just listen to the NPC walk around Dragonsreach on that floor.

Posted bow sounds to OP. STEP wins this for me so I'll be moving it up above Ultra Realistic Bow Shoot Sounds so that mod wins.
-
I'm about to start another personal game due to all the changes and updates to various mods so I've stuck this one at the end of the sound section. This is having it overwrite all the sounds in STEP just for testing. Currently it would completely replace: Better Horse Pain SoundsLower Sounding Thieves Guild DoorUltra Realistic Bow Shoot SoundsI'll definitely have to remember to test it against Lower Sounding Thieves Guild Door because that one vanilla audio file was terrible and way too loud. I also will be playing an archer character so the bow sounds will be tested right away.

Core i5 or equivalent or higher GTX 780 4GB VRAM or equivalent or higher 8GB System RAM SSD or HDD (this will only affect load times) It really depends on if you're wanting to run a hefty ENB preset and the screen resolution you're wanting to play what. If you want a good ENB and higher screen resolutions you'll want a beefier video card. I have a GTX 760 4GB and it stays mostly around 60FPS in the base game @ 1920x1080. If I add an ENB (depending on the ENB) it'll run in the 40s to 50s FPS.

SKYRIMLE Opening Scene Overhaul by elderscrolliangamer aka Publick Gamer
TechAngel85 replied to Shadriss's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The subtitle issue is a quick and easy fix that would only take a couple minutes. All they have to do is change the text to what the dialogue says. I like Hadvar's new dialogue. It's more like he's a soldier talking to his superior officer so the dialogue aligns better with the captain's and general's. Whereas the stormcloak dialogue is more casual like one would expect of "rebels". It really gives you a sense of definement between the two sides just in this opening scene. -

STEP v2.2.9.2 Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
I agree. That why we're (aka Staff) are suppose to simply point users to the information via a link. If they truly do not understand it after reading the reference material, then we'll help from there. STEP assumes you know the basics of MO before using the Guide. That's why the MO Guide is linked from our mod page within a nice big notice that says: I mean... that's from installing MO in step 1.C of the Guide. 1.A Install Steam and the game.1.B Open the game launcher.1.C Install MO (and other utilities)It's quite literally within the third step of installing STEP Guide. :: -

Doesn't matter. Our mod page that I linked above will still get him set up correctly for any modding setup using MO, not just STEP. -
Light Flickering Issues (ELFX + ELE)
TechAngel85 replied to Fantomax's question in General Skyrim LE Support
By flicker I'm guessing you mean they turn off and on. This is a limitation of the game engine. Only a certain number of lights can be within an certain radius. Surpass this number (which I think is 6) and you'll run into this issue. Mods that add light bulbs to any area which pushes this number beyond 6 is the main cause of this. From what I've read ELFX adds multiple light bulbs for a single source in order to increase it's intensity, which is not the right way to do it. If that is true, then it could cause lights turning on and off. RS is designed to work around this issue and focuses on putting lights at their sources while also applying the proper light bulb for the light source. For example, in the vanilla game there are torch light bulbs at braziers. These are changed in RS to to be fire light bulbs. With RS, you're not going to get a lot of extra "personal touches" like you would with ELFX because RS focuses more on correcting the vanilla lighting rather than added a lot of effects and whatnot. ELE will simply "normalize" the color values for lights, ambient colors, etc...which makes it easier for modders (especially ENB authors) to work with them. ELE also fixes much of the interior lighting which is why many authors only use the interior module. -

Please post your SkyrimPrefs.ini as well and make sure you have SKSE set up according to the instructions on the mod page from the STEP Guide. -
SKYRIMLE Opening Scene Overhaul by elderscrolliangamer aka Publick Gamer

Sounds like you have some issues... I didn't have any if that. The cart ride is a bit longer for the re-added audio to play, but everything went smoothly. I had no problems at all. -
SKYRIMLE Opening Scene Overhaul by elderscrolliangamer aka Publick Gamer
TechAngel85 replied to Shadriss's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Marked for Testing. I just played through this and I feel it adds a lot of small nuances which tie in perfectly with the rest of the game's story. I loved having more of an introduction of the civil war as part of the intro. This aspect of the story is important throughout the game and this helps you understand more of that from the start. I didn't see anything that departed from the original intent. This mod just simply improves upon it. At this point, it's very much Core content, imo.
