  1. Post Image is also a good place to host images and they will not disappear from non-use like Imgur's do. Post Image is actually dedicated to forum use. As for tag, simply use the best descriptive one-word tag you can think of. The only place that rules apply around tagging is for mod topics in the Mods forum. You'll be presented with those rules if you ever post a new topic in that forum. Most everything else is in the Citizenship Guide.
  2. Most of Renthal's textures do not fit into the game very well due to the color/style change. Renthal's textures work very well together as a whole, but when you start using them piecemeal they start to really stand out from the surrounding textures. Also, in the case of this rack, the leather would not be bumpy and rough like that. It would be quite smooth. For these reasons, I'm dropping the testing tag.
  3. I don't have CoT installed. Be sure you're plugins are in the right load order.
  4. Please mind this part of the message that you are presented before posting: When searching for the thread before creating it, please search the entire forums (from the home page). Not just this sub-forum. Original topic here: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/7929-little-things-by-ramccoid-and-hishutup/
  5. I had it installed before, but missed it during this last round. I've gone for the modified vanilla version because it made the most since to me as a replacement rather than an overhaul.
  6. I'm dropping this from official testing until Fadingsignal updates the mod with fixed feet.
  7. One of the books says this: I highlighted a rather interesting part which suggests they should not have any weathering since "Nothing harms them".
  8. https://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Standing_Stones https://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:University_Lectures Not much is known about them other than they are magical in nature.
  9. Sorry, the changelog wasn't very descriptive. Yes, it's ready.
  10. I've wanted to get this mod into STEP for a long time now. I've played with it in my personal setup nearly since its release and continue to use it via Vivid Weathers. Keep in mind that I have ENB enabled in the shots, so this will affect the look of the textures somewhat (makes them more transparent). I've included an example of this effect in the first set of compares. Also keep in mind the foggy weather can be rather resource intensive. The foggy Riften shot looks amazing, but I was sitting at around 35FPS due to the volumetric fog (this feature can be cut from the mod fairly easily). Finally, the compares only include vanilla and this mod since STEP only covers the fire smoke. This rest in STEP is 100% vanilla. My vanilla profile has the follow mods active: Cleaned mastersSKSE - for later mods in list and mod testingUSLEEP - for all it's vanilla fixesUHRPSTEP Vanilla Optimized Textures (Standard Version)Bug Fixes - for vanilla bug fixes not included in USLEEPSMIM - to maintain mesh consistency between comparesImmersive HUD - makes taking screenshots super easy since it auto-hides the HUDELE Lite - to maintain lighting consistencyRelighting Skyrim - to maintain lighting consistencyAll shots have ELEP active with the following effects enabled using default settings: Detailed ShadowsSun RaysSoft ParticlesParticle LightsWaterUnderwaterCloud ShadowsProcedural Sun Vanilla >> Vivid >> Vivid no ENB As you can see, this mod also changes some of the image space colors with the plug (extended weathers + windy clouds) which is also the cause of the performance hit, but we could use the textures only as a replacement or customize the plugin to keep some of the features. As with any effect replacing mod, images do not do this mod justice so one must test is out in-game to get a full sense of its changes. One such change are the added cloud layers that move individually from one another. This mod enhances your entire experience and the mountain fog covers up most of the z-fighting which the mountains are notorious for. I see no reason not to place this into Core.
  11. That's what I'm saying. I have no issues with the other mod being Core, but we should reevaluate if it meets the Core mandate. The only real issue I see is the style deviation.
  12. I think it was because the new designs were so much off from vanilla. I personally have no issue with the main mod being Core, but should really discuss if it meets the mandate or not.
  13. I've been using this for 30+ levels and haven't experienced any issues with it. I say it's good to go for Core as a fix.

  15. Well the Mandate says this: ... new content that is interpreted as a "should have been included" resource and remains consistent with vanilla Skyrim. I believe this mod falls within those parameters. Like you said, it's the lore itself. Including it from the start will not hurt anything. Those that have never played any TES game will simply get more lore. Those that have played the previous games will feel that the TES world is a bit more interconnected having the books from the other regions (aka past games). Win-win.
  16. After thinking a bit, the only thing I wasn't happy with was that normal map causing the bumpy look. So I hid it and took another round of shots. In Gamwich style, this is likely more closer to vanilla now but with just a darker palette. I noticed the lettering is a bit more sharp and clear with Gamwich's texture. I think I would be happy with either STEP or Rustic, however, Rustic likely pulls ahead of STEP just slightly here when you start comparing the pros and cons.
  17. I have to say that I'm not really a fan of this one. It's not bad, just not my cup of tea. STEP's does venture away from vanilla slightly and Gamwich's detailing work looks better which is visible in the last set. However, the bumpy effect is too much for me. This is a fairly good departure from the smoother vanilla surface, and as you can see in the 3rd and 4th sets, it's very noticeable. I'm going to say this one, in it's current state, isn't good for STEP.
  18. These are just for reference so I kept my ENB (ELEP) active which has Cloud Shadows and some other effects enabled which may alter vanilla lighting just slightly. Still vanilla color code, though. Vanilla >> STEP >> RUSTIC >> RUSTIC with normal map hidden
