  1. I tried out Enhanced Lights and FX a while back and while it made the game look amazing, I experienced a ton of texture flickering/lights turning on and off as I move the camera around. Pretty typical for lighting fix mods I guess since I get it with Relighting Skyrim as well. The only one I haven't seen flickering on is Volrath's. I saw the author of ELFX say that nobody should be getting flickering because he stays under the "4 shadow-casing lights" limit, but that's not the only thing that causes issues. Simply having too many light sources, shadow-casting or not, in an area will cause the same problems. One place that was particularly bad was the Whiterun Halls of the Dead. Whip out a torch/lantern and it's even worse. Like I said though, it's by far the most extensive and best-looking light fix mod.
  2. No, white breath for me. Weren't you having issues with certain particle effects being black when using RCRN, techangel? Seems like this could be related.
  3. Also try setting fShadowBiasScale in SkyrimPrefs.ini to 0.3000. ENB shadow fixes will also minimize this effect.
  4. Better Skill and Quest Books Names was updated recently with the patch note "Added compatibility with USKP v1.2.5 changes to skill books using TES5Edit." Is it still necessary to do the procedure in your guide to make it compatible with USKP?
  5. Sign = 0005161a Candle stand = 0005abce Normal horn candle = 0005c00a Wall horn candle = 0001cc24 All black for me.
  6. Just did a fresh vanilla install + optimized vanilla / HRDLC textures myself. In addition to the sign texture techangel mentioned, I get this: Also, all the horn candles are black. I used the latest DDSopt.
  7. Most of the things in these "SUPER MAX SKYRIM INI" files are completely useless. Especially the memory/CPU-related ones. They do absolutely nothing. If you started over with a clean ultra .ini and added/modified the lines I posted, you'd be very close to "maxed out."
  8. Mention it on the mod page if it hasn't been already... he'll probably fix it!
  9. Personally I would delete the files and start over. You have a ton of lines in there that don't need to be there. Raising uGrids to 7 would be the first thing and will make the biggest impact on both visual quality and performance. Add the following to your Skyrim.ini [General] section: [General] uGridsToLoad=7 uExterior Cell Buffer=64 uInterior Cell Buffer=32 In SkyrimPrefs.ini, there are a few things you can increase: [Display] fShadowLODStartFade=400.0000 iMaxDecalsPerFrame=350 [Grass] fGrassStartFadeDistance=18000 [Main] fSkyCellRefFadeDistance=500000.0000 [TerrainManager] fTreeLoadDistance=100000.0000 fBlockMaximumDistance=500000.0000 fBlockLevel1Distance=140000.0000 fBlockLevel0Distance=75000.0000 fSplitDistanceMult=4.0000 I'm sure there's more, but that's just off the top of my head.
  10. Brightness fluctuation/green flashes. Only happens with the more recent ENBs. Like v121212+ I think.
  11. Oh are the thinner branches only up top? That sounds good.
  12. Not sure how I feel about those 1.76 shots. 1.75 looks more like a pine tree to me!
  13. Lots of updates in the past few days. It's up to version 0.138 now. Most notable changes are a new day/night detection method and interior setting variables split into day and night. Something about the new version seems to brighten interiors considerably for me with Seasons of Skyrim and I see alot of people are saying the same thing. So I'm assuming most ENB configs will need an update to work with the latest binary.
  14. To be honest Seasons is oversaturated as well. I have to manually tweak the SweetFX settings in order to bring it to a more realistic level.
  15. 1GB of VRAM is not enough for 2560x1600. Resolution plays a huge role in how much VRAM you need.
  16. Yeah you won't unless you were close-ish to what the engine can handle. I've had it happen to me.
  17. While the FPS hit isn't great on Skyrim Distant Detail/Skyrim Distance Overhaul, they can very easily lead to infinite loading screens due to the engine being overloaded. Just something to be aware of! There's also a new distance mod: https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29363 This one contains a bajillion .esps for specific objects. One for giant campfires, one for roads, etc. So you can pick and choose what you want to be viewable at a distance. Not great if you're near the limit of .esps though. Have yet to test it, but it seems good.
  18. In general, if the mod has an .esp file, it needs to be used regardless of whether the files are in .bsa format or loose.
  19. Just a heads up... there's a new mod that replaces Remove Ambient Interior Fog. It covers the DLCs and has been cleaned with TES5Edit. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29253 As for ENBs, I like Seasons of Skyrim. Phinix Natural is also pretty good.
  20. Yeah this looks pretty amazing.
  21. Any difference? I see it's considerably smaller in size despite having the same files. Optimized? Nevermind!
  22. I had assumed that SRO or SHD had rug retextures... maybe not?
