  1. I was looking at this last night. It sounds pretty great and is worth trying, but it's very low quality. 64kbps to be exact. It's been brought to his attention, so I'm hoping he releases/re-releases a higher quality version.
  2. Discussion thread: Shooting Stars by isoku Wiki Link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Uzhhth5jAI&hd=1 Adds shooting stars to nighttime Skyrim. Also meteor showers on pre-designated dates. Looks amazing!
  3. Yeah, it was a pretty huge performance hit for me as well. Looked OK, but non-dungeon interiors weren't dark enough for me.
  4. Looks good, but it conflicts slightly with Ethereal Elven Overhaul. 4 textures and meshes overlap. My guess is you'd probably OK installing this first and overwriting with EEO's, but I guess that would need to be tested.
  5. Was deleted from the Nexus! Feel free to delete the thread, admins.
  6. What exactly is the conflict?
  7. The author of Ethereal Elven Overhaul released another mod... this one being just a simple normal map replacer for female orc skin. Males in the future is a possibility. Looks good! https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24530/
  8. Yeah I kinda figured it would be banned, s'why I grabbed it quick!
  9. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24523/ Mod was deleted from the Nexus! Replaces all the in-game music (with the exception of two tracks) with higher quality rips from the soundtrack. Exact same tracks, higher bitrate. After listening to the comparison file on high-end headphones I can say the difference is pretty significant, but your mileage may vary depending on the quality of your audio setup.
  10. Looks great to me!
  11. New version today that takes out the followers. Any opinions on the optional skin texture vs XCE's? Definitely looks nice in the screenshot.
  12. I was talking about Immersive Armors for NPCs, which is #132 on the do not use list!
  13. Nooo, two of my favorite mods are in the do not use list... Immersive Armors for NPCs and Interesting NPCs :(
  14. Interesting. I use that mod and haven't had any issues, but that is worrisome.
  15. From my experience both Skyrim Distance Overhaul and Skyrim Distant Detail increase the burden on the engine by a non-trivial amount, especially if you use the z-fighting .ini tweaks. For me, SDO increased physical RAM usage by about 150mb and the game was much more prone to CTDs. It really does look great though. One thing I was curious about was the HQ LOD textures. He has different textures for all 3 of the big texture packs... SRO, HD2K, and SHDR. I wonder how they compare to the default textures. Might be difficult to find one that fits since the Texture Pack Combiner uses landscape textures from all 3. I think I'll test that out when I get home.
  16. Anyone tried Character Creation Overhaul mentioned by skwareballz earlier in the thread? Seems really good and is compatible with Alternate Start and SkyRe if you're into that.
  17. Couldn't this also be applied to harsh weather?
  18. If you use Parallax you need to set that attribute to true.
  19. A few observations: 1. Night and daytime weathers look nice, but I was getting weird brightness levels when fast traveling around. 2. Vanilla nights level 2 seems to be ~equal to RCRN... very nice. 3. Interiors don't look very good. Warm is too bright and cold just looks dim and desaturated. 4. Dungeons aren't dark enough on the hazardous level, and on hardcore the entire picture just looks dim. If he kept the light source output of hazardous but the shadow depth of hardcore I think it'd be pretty great. While these things are fixable with ENBs, the odds of me finding one I like seem to be slim. Sigh... why's it so hard to find a good lighting mod!?
  20. Looks great, but unfortunately I'm with the "Wait on Dawnguard" crowd.
  21. I had no idea! I guess I should actually read the old patch notes for USKP to see everything it fixes. My bad!
  22. Discussion thread: Guard Dialogue Overhaul by Eckss Wiki Link Guard Dialogue Overhaul makes dialogue from guards more responsive to what you've accomplished in the game. So if you're a thane of the city they'll stop asking if someone's stolen your sweet roll, etc. Seems good on paper... has anyone tried it?
  23. I used Unread Books Glow for a while, but it has some CTD issues. It's possible they were fixed though!
