  1. When in doubt use Skyrim Configurator
  2. If you're going to be using TES5Edit without a plan (and possibly experience modding required) then you might as well just follow the Skyrim Revisited guide for the mods that are S.T.E.P. only.
  3. I'm not so concerned about the mob mentality at least it sometimes helps get things done. Too many people are like sheep and do what they're told and don't think for themselves except on the smallest of scales (one of the reasons the US political system is so messed up). I'll try this out regardless whenever I'm done taking my nap I'm pooped filming for most of the day for the past couple days has been quite exhausting.
  4. For the most part I'm liking the look of Langley's though as has been said I don't really like the door. I do however like the wood beams the vanilla and SHD ones just look out of place to me.
  5. I'll work on it soon after I start on Langley's which should hopeful be around next week some time as this filming is a nightmare
  6. Which should we test? All of them?
  7. Well I think I get what michael is saying IMO the textures are good but the meshes (even the fixed vanilla ones) aren't quite up to the task. The textures just show what a lacklustre job has been done with the meshes or bring out the worst in the meshes however you wish to put it.
  8. Well I'd like to know as well as I asked whether or not these spin-offs would need to be tested as well as the base Langley's Workshop.
  9. Well could you post your ini files so we could be the judge of that please. If you don't we won't be able to tell you. At the VERY least you should make sure that your anisotropic filtering is on and try adding bDoDepthOfField=0 to your SkyrimPrefs.ini Also those screenshots are tiny is that your normal resolution or did you crop them? Also I'm not really seeing the torch you're talking about.
  10. Lol. I'll download this and add it to my Testing profile.
  11. I'm surprised it took them this long to incorporate this fix. I'm not what with all of the other bugs they had to plug.
  12. Anyone here tried out Wyrmstooth? I've heard it's good but haven't had the time.
  13. I think that's there in vanilla, I'd have to load it up to be sure. I can't right now as it's been storming alot and I never got to finish my Tester install last night (A friend needed to crash at my place since his AC went out and it's still about 80 degrees outside and hotter inside at night)
  14. You mean like renaming them? You can do that by right clicking and renaming then copying the text you want it to read via either the program or going to your MO directory's mod folder. Unless I'm reading your question wrong.
  15. It's ok Will you can cry on my map it's very absorbent.
  16. I never cared much for Skyrim Realistic Overhaul as has been said it's not much of an overhaul and it's bloody huge. I do think it does some of the landscape textures nice but apart from that I hate it especially the wood beams.
  17. As I said some would have to be removed and stuff so specific ones from Hectrols pack wouldn't be used like that one.
  18. Beauty of Skyrim overwritten by Hectrols in selective instances are my vote.
  19. @admin Since this has been split up into other mods should we also test those as well (and make threads for the others) and which ones. I also assume a general texture size of 1k?
  20. Actually it does look promising. Aiyen have you tried tweaking boris's new files?
  21. Everything looks nice (as always Cabal) but as tech said some of the textures look too new to be allowed. For instance if this were to ever be considered for core we'd likely have to nix the wood textures in favor of another so it looks more weathered.
  22. If you look at your textures folder (if you extracted it to loose files) and in many loose file mods you'll notice there is a texturename.dds and then in most cases either a texturename_n.dds or texturename_msn.dds etc and those last two are normal maps which give the object some sense of depth. As for the OP I think I've seen Neo say many times that he's only using 1k textures for the exteriors ad I think 2k with 1k normals in the interiors.
  23. But only turn those options youtoo just posted if you're able to reproduce a crash in a specific spot and consistently as it will let you know or attempt to figure out which script etc caused your game to crash. Leaving it on all the time is just asking for more trouble.
  24. Post your boss log please. Look in a couple of the other threads for how if you're not sure. One of the ones who had issues with it if I recall correctly was CopyWrite85
  25. Yeah it'd be a mess much as they've all said (I mentioned it a few days ago in the publicizing the 3.1GB thread). A large portion of the problems can be fixed by cutting back on your eye candy however some are more complex than just that. Chesko if he ever finishes that follower of his should hopefully release the optimized codes for Frostfall and Wearable Lanterns. Erroneous script code also contributes to the limit and also in general causes an increase of instability
