  1. Ok a few questions before I go into my general advice. First have you recently added any large texture packs or large resolution textures i.e. 4k exterior textures or SRO? Second, have you tried underclocking your graphics card with a tool like MSI Afterburner to see if it's something to do with your clockspeeds? General Advice 1. Make a new game (doesn't matter how either sit through Helgen or Alternate Start Live Another Life) 2. Since you are using Mod Organizer (which keeps your mods installed in a separate folder from your game) have you tried deleting your Skyrim Folder and replacing it with your Vanilla install archive? (assuming you made an archive after you installed) 3. Try following the cleaning advice from Neovalen's Skyrim Revisited Guide for any of the mods that you have installed that are also in his list. @Aiyen I wouldn't say 80C under full load is typical. It shouldn't damage the card but I wouldn't say it was typical. For instance I have a highly overclocked graphics card in my laptop (which I use to play skyrim) and it never goes above 70C. My desktops card isn't as comparable (it's a GTX 460) but it's highly OC'ed and never goes above 60C. Each card is different. @OP bottom line in terms of temperatures. 1. Clean out any lint traps on your case if you have any.\ 2. Make sure your fans are all functioning. 3. Check the airflow to make sure it's good. (There are a few guides on the internet and I highly recommend you check out Overclock.net) @all Making sure your cooling is working right will help reduce your energy bill too (a little) as the hotter your components run the more energy they require/waste. The waste portion of that is because heat is one form of energy. I'm not explaining it well I know but cooler is a. more stable (generally) and b. more energy efficient.
  2. The way I handle it is whenever I change mods regardless of how i.e. whenever I switch profiles or add anything I just re-run the bashed patch (yes I know there are other patches).
  3. Alright here's everything I believe. These were a pain in the ass until I just said screw trying to get comepletely identical shots of them while they were in the water so I just added some to my inventory. Link Weather's bad here and it's late so I don't have time to upload them individually. Also sorry about the messages they're very verbose I guess I should have made my saves after they all finished but hey mother nature is fickle. Also this mod seems to include more than the normal water fish (not covered by current STEP). Anyways night guys... and girls
  4. I never said I particularly liked his tastes but the house mods he shows are usually good. If I DO watch then I'll use his skip buttons to the house mods.
  5. yeah, im finished with my final exams as of a few hours ago, but i still have another paper and a half to finish writing and get turned in. but as soon as im finished i promise ill be back in full swing. ill have about 3 weeks of 'break' before fall term begins and will be able to do a lot more during that time :DAbout the same here except my classes and also my documentary won't be done until around August 12 and then classes start again around the 28th. Plus I have woderful mother nature shitting on me (or pissing tbh) every day for the last week (hard too and lightning and power issues...). Anyways if I don't pass out after doing the fish compares I'll try to do some of these.
  6. Lore friendly immersion-wise I can't recommend Heartwood Cottage enough. It's in the worldspace AND it doesn't have the annoying rain through solid objects bug. There are a few others I'd recommend but I'm busy atm. Alternatively MMOxReview usually shows some good house mods whenever he does show some.
  7. I'll do these since it's easier than the headache that is Langley's atm I'll hopefully have some in an hour or so. No guarantee's since... well the weather's been ridiculous the last week or so.
  8. These look MUCH more believable than current STEP, IMO (I'm in the tropics so lore wise idk if these are the type of fish you'd see around scandanavia) I'll almost definately be using these in my personal install. Regardless of lore the texture quality is much better than current STEP.
  9. Don't quote me on this but I believe Claralux is one of those unsafe mods that generally shouldn't be used as it causes save bloating. Can someone confirm?
  10. Well then you probably haven't done anything to your vanilla files (unless you used Optimizer Textures or something similar). Here's the DDSOpt guide for your reference. Though I don't think it'll help you at this point.
  11. Upload to Minus I uploaded a 6MB or better uncompressed bitmap there (you'll need to download their android or apple store app to create an account) Also I was able to download the file and I can add it to dropbox or mediafire if you guys still can't get it (probably your ISPs fault). Here's the bitmap provided by Sparrow (sadly Minus doesn't accept tga files) right click the thumbnail and say open in new tab.
  12. Have you DDSOPted your Vanilla and HRDLC files? If so try just using the unoptimized ones. If that makes it dissapear then your problem is likely the DDSOpt .ini file being too old and not treating the file properly.
  13. Could someone please, please mark this for testing? Vanilla and STEP rocks just pain me so...
  14. Some ENB presets make Nightvision useless without some tweaks. Which are you using?
  15. I'm fairly certain that's Skyrim Flora Overhaul... sure you don't have Vurt's? Redownload those mods you mentioned and if you DDSOpt them make sure to get the .ini file from the DDSOpt guide.
  16. So I'm still waiting on confirmation on which to test, I suppose I could do all of them but these packs are a pain. Also texture size preferences?
  17. So I'm still waiting on confirmation on which to test, I suppose I could do all of them but these packs are a pain. Also texture size preferences? Neo I'd like some ideas here please.
  18. So I'm still waiting on confirmation on which to test, I suppose I could do all of them but these packs are a pain. What texture sizes should we use?
  19. Message me when you're ready I should have a bit of time soon (within a week or so) I've been meaning to do it for ages. I'm currently scouting locations for Langley's testing and will do this video before I start doing comparisons for those.
  20. If the ENB preset you have installed is using v0.163 and up then it should have vsync IIRC.
  21. What I was saying was that if you're new to modding you probably shouldn't touch TES5Edit but if you're going to do it anyways install all of the mods in STEP and then follow Neovalen's instructions for TES5Edit in his Skyrim Revisited guide (only for the mods you have installed not the extra ones he adds to STEP core say Frostfall which you wouldn't install if you wanted a STEP installation)
  22. Sigh... oh well at least I still have the save from when I did the compares in the OP so as soon as I get the time I'll do it... again.
  23. Oh yeah I just added (for my SR install) them to my general patch. I opened up the .esps in TES5Edit then copied the differences over from the .esps to my general patch double checking that the values carried over... Then again I've gotten fairly comfortable with doing such things.
  24. As far as I know. Don't quote me but... I think he's using Unreal ENB which was made around ELFX.
