Mod Organizer 2 Discussion and Feedback
GSDFan replied to TechAngel85's question in Mod Organizer Support
@tjwoosta, Local save games do not work in 2.0.2. Everything else appears to work when switching profiles. I think you still have to copy your pluging.txt file to your FO4 appdata folder in order for the game to work though, see mods. This may have changed in the current build as I have not had to do that for a while. @gunblast, 32bit executables are broken in the current alpha. -
Fallout 4 General and Mod Discussion. It Just Works!
GSDFan replied to a topic in General Fallout 3 Discussion & Support
I have the same issue, but with Witcher 3. I just can't get into it. Fallout 4 no problem. -
@SB4N, I know the feeling. When I lost my previous girl I was not a happy camper for some time and needed to fill the gap. When the time was right. I did and am glad I did it.

Fallout 4 General and Mod Discussion. It Just Works!
GSDFan replied to a topic in General Fallout 3 Discussion & Support
I was trying out Fallout 4 Mod Manager for a while and switched over to NMM when it came out. So far NMM is stable, but I only have a few mods installed through it. We need the tools to catch up with the new game before we start heavily modding it. Nothing like flying blind. At least with MO we can see what is going on to some extent. -
ModOrganizer v1.3.4 4Gb.exe -laaexe .\FalloutnvMO.exe
GSDFan replied to GSDFan's question in Mod Organizer Support
Try removing the "dot and or backslash" from in front of the \Fallout MO.exe "-laaexe FalloutMO.exe". There are other things to try floating around here, unfortunatly I lost all of my links to them on my Windows reinstall so I can't list them. From memory I think there is something to do with the Steam ID and there is also a couple of versions of the 4gb program. The Fallout New Vegas Guide may help in setting it up. Search for "4gb" and "launcher" and that should give you some results. -
I do. This way I can keep track of what I install.
-
Also the game requires a 64 bit OS and at the moment MO can't launch 64 bit executables.
-
Well they are not removed, only changed. See below. Without Auto Archive Invalidation I get the following lines: sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa, Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa sResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa bInvalidateOlderFiles=0 SInvalidationFile=ArchiveInvalidation.txt With AAI I get the following: sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Invalidation.bsa, Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa, Skyrim - Voices.bsa sResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa, Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 SInvalidationFile= Skyrim - Invalidation.bsa is added to the top of the archives tab with the latter and removed with the former example.

If you take a look at this thread, Double Launcher when running through MO, you should note that when using the Script extender load mechanism in MO, you will use the ini files from the My Games folder when the game is launched. MO is at this point a plugin and until it loads I believe those are being used. I do not know if at any point the profile ini files are used. Only Tannin can answer this.
-
Yes, as long as there aren't any problems with steam and the game itself. If you backup the entire ModOrganizer folder then there should not be any problems when restoring.
-
In Firefox applications, NXM set it to always ask. When download with manager is pressed you should see the Launch Application dialog. If NXM is not available then browse to the handler in the MO directory.
-
Set the dialog in firefox to always ask. The next time you download with manager you should get a window asking how to handle the download. One item should be nxm and the other should be browse to file. If nxm is not in the list use the browse button to navigate to the nxmhandler.exe in modorganizer install that you are using.

[ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
GSDFan replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
If your installed mods are still on disk you can either copy them to the new MO or point the new MO to the old location. Same goes for your downloads. -
Grant congrats on the new PC. I hope everything works out for you. We need that one drean PC at some point in our lives.

I have a question, was the mo_interface.log a full log? It usually starts with initializing stuff. In my log below it is up to the point 06:17:10. Also an FYI, Before you post the ModOrganizer.ini log remove the following from the settings section: nexus_username= nexus_password= While the password is encrypted, it is better to be safe than sorry.

Did you also install Lutana NVSE Plugin? There is no mention of it on the description page, but when you download the required files notice says you need it.

Gopher has released a video on the profile subjsct: MODDING PROFILES: Nexus Mod Manager vs. Mod Organizer
-
Yes you can. Assuming that the left pane is sorted by priority and zero is at the top, which it looks like it is. Then as the picture shows Skyrim HD- 2kTextyres would have a higher priority that Serious HD Retexture. If you were to reverse them then Serious HD Retexture would win any conflicts. Remember this is for any files that conflict between mods. If there aren't any conflicts then it is not a problem.
-
The STEP guide is assembled with a specific order to accomplish a certain look and feel so yes it is important. With MO installed mods will never delete files on disk from another mod as all mods are installed to their own folders. MO will present the overwriting or top priority files to the game. You do have to be careful about removing things as the game may throw fits, CDt and so on. The drag and drop function in MO allows you to do whatever you want to the left pane priority without fear of having to install 100 mods again. If you want to add additional mods on top of STEP, then the general rule of thumb is to install them in the section that best fits.

How to logout/Change nexus accounts on Mod organizer?
GSDFan replied to madshopkeeper's question in Mod Organizer Support
Clear out the login info in the nexus tab and OK out to the main interface. Close MO and go to the MO install folder and look for the webcache folder. It should be ModOrganizer\webcache. Delete the files and folders in there. Restart MO and you should not be logged in anymore. -
FONV Windows 10 Issues. Can anyone give me a hand?
GSDFan replied to HeroesandvillainsOS's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I believe you have to check "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:" then click apply and reboot the computer first. Then return there and add your exceptions. -
@Ewookie1, yes you can. I have my SRLE tweaks in a SRLE Tweaks Mods. You can also add an empty folder that the game uses and you will not get the empty folder message from MO.
