I think WATER covers both. I really don't know why isoku didn't cover the troughs. I can easily make The Ruffled Feather install the trough water from WATER for STEP users. I would need some compares on The Ruffled Feather topic first, though. This has been a known issue that keep being forgot. I'll make note of it right now.

I have just finished my install of STEP Extended 2.2.9.2 and i have noticed a few bugs.

- Insects land on invisible fauna

- Actors and creatures seem to drop from the sky whilst walking exteriors (intermittent)

- Black hand textures whilst they are covered in blood (intermittent)

- Grass pop-out at the edges of the screen (FoV as per the guide set to 16:9 value)

These are just a few i have spotted on a quick test run It should be noted I have installed all recommended mods following baseline and 1-2k textures with ENBoost. (Assuming no error on my part!)

I shall update with system and build info if needed. Absolutely great guide i have to say!

Thanks.

 I'm using is Phinix Natural ENB

*note  Description on Mod page says ' Texture Filtering - Negative LOD Bias" (or something similar) is set to "Clamp" or "Off

If running Nivida on 144Hz screen , use the half refresh rate ,and have the 'clamp OFF ' both setting are in the  Nvidia control

I also used a Merge .esp following the Step video  watch the bash video as well .I have no issues. expect NPC sleeping habits :)

Regarding trough water, debatably couldn't smiths be using quenching oil in their troughs resulting in the unedited texture in game? I know people want to replace it, it just might look that way for a reason, which might change someone's mind about replacing it.

I don't remember ever looking in a horse water trough to see if they're the same though.

fGrassMinStartFadeDistance =0.0000

Maybe DoubleYou will have a better idea of what is happening here.

No, it's water. If you open up the mesh, you can see what textures are used. For the toughs it's, textures\effects\FXWaterTileFLAT_*.dds. It was a good theory though. :^_^:

Does lowering fGrassStartFadeDistance in SkyrimPrefs.ini down to 1000 help?

It seems to still happen although i'm sure it has moved the pop out point slightly. Reducing it further has little impact.
