Also, found some more stuff. The instructions for the SI map in UI section is out of date. only SBs SI Map II is available from nexus and it doesn't contain any of the folders mentioned in the guide.

 

You missed out the quest popup blocker for DarNified UI :(

I changed out the map for a different map :P

Thanks for your work hishutup.

I have followed your guide for the most of it,excluding some mods i didnt like and installing OR before you mention and also RAEVWD and RAEVWD-SI.

The OR works very well with minimal fps hit,also in the guide you should mention the ini changes the author suggests.

The RAEVWD works nice if you experiment with the install settings. I managed to get 30 fps outdoors. While i stand on the edge of the rock on chestnut stables i can see the far distance ruins across the lake while you cant have it without  it.

I talked to manga and its seems that I can talk him into making a preset for OR because let's be honest, the default look is worse then the vanilla game but with added effects.

When I get to raevwd, I will rake another look.

Lol, come on, it's not that bad. OR is amazing, imo, just enable pretty much every effect in the ini file (apart from that cheesy blood lens) and it looks brilliant.

 

Exciting stuff, however, keep up the good work, man.

It's not pretty imo, looks out of place, maybe make it extended?

 

Anyway, I have some findings for you, my friend.

 

I've been playing around with better cities and the guide - I got it working if I added a custom rule to the frostcragLOD.esp file added by the Graphic Improvement Project. Get the Better Cities Imperial City esp to load AFTER the frostcraglod.esp and you should have zero errors within the city. Do with that information... What you will.

 

How is your ini coming along? Motion blur is awesome, amirite?

OR has various bug fixes. I think I can make a preset that will disable its extra flashy features.

 

Im going to try and drift away from BOSS. So Im going to lose track of rules until I find that LOOT will just not work. So far it seems to do okay.

I dont think the placement really matters because it probably just flags the tower as VWD but I'll look later.

 

I uploaded a set of inis but I'll probably update it from time to time.

It shouldnt contain any assets so its fine to upload.

I'll take a look at motion blur.

MB isnt for everyone, made me feel funny but then again I have 60fps ingame so theres no need for it.

 

The only issue with having inis is that people with lesser gpus may struggle.

My 970 maxed out in a few areas.

 

 

Im also taking a second look at Detailed Terrain.

I think I am going to stick with QTP3 but I'll definitely have to hide some meshes because the parallax looks terrible, like fort ruins.

A 970 isn't a lesser GPU!  ::P: How was it maxing out, VRAM or just processing? So far, I've only got oblivion to hit 2.4GB VRAM with the whole guide installed.

All the way from 20 to 144 haha.

 

Sometimes, just looking at a door will drop me to 20 whilst the surrounding is 80fps.

 

SMAA had negligible affect on my fps, I checked it was working though with screenshots. It murders them jaggies, mane.

I updated the instructions for QTP3, this removes the parallax meshes because they look unsightly with all the creep.

 

There is one mesh in the UOP + QTP3 patch but its so minimal that I think im going to ignore it for awhile.

 

AneerHM, Add detailed terrain just after GIP and tell me what you think?

I like it but Im worried about compatibility overwrites from other mods.

Although, there isnt very many that is going to affect the landscape.

I'll install it now; I'm going to assume I'll need every file though, apart from UL if I don't use that?

Also, a lot of users are reporting blood flicker when blood is on the modified textures this mod provides... The author has stated he is no longer going to work on the mod and considers his 0.4 release the final release. People are saying that even with shader patch, blood is still dancing about through tiles haha.

 

To give you an answer, bro, I don't know how to install this mod w/o TMM (and haven't got TMM installed this time, since I'm following the guide strictly), so I can't tell you how it looks in my own game. However, the screenshots look very nice and I would love to run the mod. The caveat though... I'd probably uninstall it after seeing my first blood flicker.
