are there any masters between the mods that you are merging

 

If so place that block of mods at the very end of the LO and then merge them with the default settings

Thanks hishutup for the advice. The problem is BetterDGEntrance.esp doesn't seem to want to play ball.

 

The following records failed to copy:

    GRUP Exterior Cell Block -1, 1 from file BetterDGEntrance.esp

    GRUP Top "WRLD" from file BetterDGEntrance.esp

 

I've had a look at that entry and it is worldspace stuff covered in red. I can understand that DG is the loser with placed objects but I can't figure out why it won't copy. Reading the mod forum it appears I am not alone. Plus it hasn't been marked green as a mergeable file in T5E which isn't good news. Hoping the collective STEP minds might have already found a solution, since the 5 mods are part of the REGS install. Cheers.

Just finished SR:LE install and would like to add REGS (and eventually Requiem) and have a few questions about the state of the pack.

 

1) For REGS, is the guide current enough for things to work? I see that SR:LE has been modified many times after the last recorded edit for the REGS' page.

 

2) Is the "REGS - SRLE Special Instructions & Compatibility Guide" still current? I see that it has not been updated in quite a while.

 

Bottom line: just want to get REGS installed and am unsure whether I should do it now or wait...

BTW, a huge thank you to everyone who puts time into making these packs and answering questions. It must take a huge amount of time!

I'm currently building REGS 4.0.3 on top of a working and updated SR:LE build.
I've been following the somewhat outdated but insightful REGS-SRLE compatibility guide

The only major deviation in regards to REGS is that I installed ETAC v13.4 (with Dragon Bridge South) instead of the supported 13.3 (not available to download).

 
 
So far I've ran into one "hard" issue :
I've re-installed RS Children Overhaul and its Patches (in accordance with both REGS and the compatibility guide instructions), and as such merged :

Files to be merged (in order) :

RSChildren_CompleteUSKP.esp   Patch - Falskaar - RS kids.esp   Patch - Wyrm - RS kids.esp   Patch - Etac Complete - RS Kids.esp [obtained from RS Patch for ETaC Complete plus DBS "for ETAC 12.1" archive]   Patch - Inconsequential NPCs - RS Kids.esp   Patch - Interesting NPCs - RS Kids.esp

Everything merges without error except the plugin Patch - Etac Complete - RS Kids.esp, so I left it out of the merge, and told BUM to load it after the merged patch.
 
Turns out that the game can't launch properly with this plugin active : I get stuck indefinitely in the main menu with the Skyrim logo but without the gray smoke and the menu options appearance.
As soon as I deactivate Patch - Etac Complete - RS Kids.esp the game run fine.
 
 
I checked for errors within TESV Edit, here's the report :

Also tested the "without DBS" version : same report.

 

I'm not the only one with this specific problem, here's a post on Nexus boards which suggest a fix (didn't worked for me but I did not insist and I may well have forgotten to do something). 

 

Is this patch necessary or just cosmetic ? (I'm tempted to just drop it for now).

I think mjb includes her own patch so check that first...

There is one character that had their formid changed which broke some stuff.

It's a good plugin to practice manually fixing the issue

And if it's the fix is good to use...

You are just doing something wrong because you have to look down the records on that formid and fix other things

Just use your brain and it should all go well

 

If you can't fix it then I'll post a link to the one I did ages ago

Right, so I got the plugin fixed, no errors left. The aforementioned linked fix was valid, the only thing is that the mentioned FORM IDs were not the same.

I also downloaded and compared the patch version provided in ETaC patches : it is the same thing but without errors :).

 

Good thing indeed that you got me to fiddle with all of that hishutup, I learned new things :).

 

That said, someone should edit the compatibility guide to point users towards the ETaC patch for RS Childrens instead of the current one, because for now it will 100% lead users to the same loading issue.

Hi all, I just wanted to report on my experience with quest-based mod The Shadow of Meresis, since I just finished it last week.

 

I really really enjoyed it, but after completing the whole thing, I found it produced Papyrus spam - two alternating repeated error lines, like this:

 I'm no fan of Papyrus spam that makes it hard to see what else is going on, so I used flexcreators Save Game Scalpel to terminate those two threads.

 

However, I do notice other Papyrus error messages related to other scripts that begin with AHeb... every time I load a save game.

 

So, I'd recommend playing through the mod on a set of save games you don't mind deleting afterwards, or at the end of your playthrough. It's a shame though, because at the end of the quest, you receive a nice "gift".

I was searching for any information on the realistic Lighting Overhaul mod in this thread and learned it may not be compatible with REGS :( that sucks. Can anyone recommend a good lighting mod that works with REGS or just making nights darker, that's all I really want. Next I want a mod like Enhanced Dynamic Weather System. Anyone using this mod or something similar with REGS? Thanks guys.

The only thing I can recommend you is to learn which mods can be added to your modlist - I'm pretty sure you will never find a set of mods from someone else that fully suit your needs. Learn what each mod does and adapt. Mod descriptions and STEP Wiki are a great place to start and if you ever run into an issue the STEP forums are a great place to get support :p

 

For example I'm using a modified lighting and weather pack from SR:LE that I had to adapt to fit my needs - I just can't run Vividian and some other mods he has :/
