Install individually (install order doesn't matter as long as load order is correct) This is what I was planning: install each mod-specific patch just after the mod it is patching. This way, this mod behaves as a direct modifier to the mods it is overriding. Not saying that this is the 'best' outcome, but it certainly makes it simpler to deal with all the mesh conflicts in my view. The fact is, we will probably be making small adjustments to whatever we land on based on discoveries after the fact. I'm all for starting with the simplest install, but that could be argued to be merging everything we are using in this mod and setting it last in Foundation (or in Models & Textures).
z929669 Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Looks like we have a conflict with Skyrim Landscape and Water Fixes and the following file from this mod: MPfVM - Skyrim Particle Patch for ENB - Assorted Mesh Fixes - Solitude Mesh Fixes Patch We will need to hide the following in SL&WF for this mesh fix to make it trough. Otherwise, we will nee to install this particular patch after it in 09-Fixes: \meshes\architecture\solitude\sbluepalaceentrance.nif

Depends on what the changes from each are doing.

kabepo Posted February 6 Posted February 6 The STEP 2.3 instructions for this mod are to install 5 patches, including "Assorted Mesh Fixes - SMIM - Blended Roads Patch". But the Blended Roads mod was deleted from the STEP 2.3 Guide, so we are instructed to install a patch for a mod we no longer use - this is confusing. I understand that Cathedral Landscapes now includes a version Blended Roads, so if patching is needed, we would require some kind of "Assorted Mesh Fixes - SMIM - Cathedral Landscapes Patch" patch.

CL now incorporates the same version of Blended Roads since it was updated, which was why BR was dropped. This is just a mesh for dragon bridge with some lighting tweaks, IIRC. We'd need to compare with/without in game again to verify if it's wanted/needed since CL was updated with this. It's definitely still compatible with our setup though. Actually, it's not the dragon bridge but the East Empire walkway/gate under Solitude. We do want the MIfVM version of this, because it corrects the lighting on the gate: CL >> MIfVM
kabepo Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Quote We do want the MIfVM version of this, because it corrects the lighting on the gate: Thanks for the explanation. Perhaps the instructions for Mesh Patch for Various Mods should be updated to make this clear, by saying something like "Although STEP does not install Blended Roads, Cathedral Landscapes includes BR, so the BR patch is still relevant". 1
