Notice: This mod is currently Form 43. Skyrim SE form is 44, thus the plugin will need to be saved in the CK.

It seems only the "Vivid" version of this mod is affected by that, the classic version requires no update and is working fine for me.

How to get it to work with xLODGen and DynDOLOD?

You don't need it. I'll drop it from testing.

When you run XLODGen for terrain LOD32, that is the map. You're generating a custom map from the textures in your install instead of relying on mods like this to provide "semi-accurate" maps.

Yea, the map looks truly amazing after the generating... but no roads. I can se all bridges, towns and the trees look great. But no roads.

The next update to Cathedral Landscapes should have roads. I know JonnyWang was working on them at one point.

Ohh, that would be epic. It is not a major problem since we all know every road in Skyrim in our sleep by now. :)

So correct me if I’m wrong, but basically it sounds like Quality Map isn’t part of the STEP guide because its functionality will be replaced by other things. xLODGen will generate the better looking and more accurate map, and Cathedral Landscapes will draw in the roads. Is this right?

There’s one function left that’s built into Quality Map: clear skies. It gets rid of the clouds in the sky when looking at the map. Is this function incorporated by another mod?

The clouds is still there. There is a checkbox in BetINI that removes it i think but i have never tried it. Tried to use Quality Map but it simply will not work in a good way.

(For the time being i use "Papermap SE V").

On the other hand... after so many hours in Skyrim i rarely open the map unless i want to fast travel :)

I can't find this ... can anyone specify?

I can't find this in BethINI either, but clouds can be removed from the map by changing a setting in Skyrim.ini:

[MapMenu]
sMapCloudNIF=0

I have a setting that removes map menu blur... but nothing for clouds. I think sMapCloudNif was removed in one of the Oldrim updates. There were a number of cool MapMenu tweaks that got removed in the Official Patches. I wish someone could mod them back in. You used to be able to zoom in very far on the map menu.
