z929669 Posted April 24, 2012 Author Posted April 24, 2012 Quote Thanks for this tip. I have never noticed, so I will make it a point to investigate in game and post a video here for all to witness ;) FYI I posted two videos of the vanilla textures (optimized and non-optimized). @StaracIf you want to PM me a link to your new version, I can add that video to this post as a direct compare. (looks great by the way, and I see that you have added more effects of Newtonian physics, which is appreciated).
stoppingby4now Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Just applied the update and the ice looks so much better.
z929669 Posted April 24, 2012 Author Posted April 24, 2012 Quote I'm uploading new 1.3 update right now. I'll install tonight and post the vid on thread liked above EDIT: New SROHD vid posted (big lighting-diff effect ... I am not using any post processing in any of these examples either. this is pure vanilla skyrim with only diff being the textures installed)
Starac Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 This is how it should look. And it was just matter of better normal map.
z929669 Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 I like the new nm much more as well as the ice.... however, I was also referring to the entire image held within the video frame compared to vanilla. Vanilla seems yellowed all around, while SROHD is crisper and clearer... much like the effect of a lighting mod. just wondering if this is purely the effects of your textures and that nothing weird is going on ....
Starac Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 That is normal. Textures are much higher quality which makes everything more clearer. Also light reflects better. Correct normal maps are also very important. My first normal maps were (first SRO release) incorrect. Or should i say incorrect for this type of lighting/engine.
Starac Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Has anyone who play Dawnguard visited Forgotten Vale? I need saves from this location to check how my new textures fitting. Don't have time to play, btw. So if someone can upload saves form this location, it would be very helpful.
Neovalen Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Nice to see you uploaded a Dawnguard update Starac, definitely going to check it out. (if I can ever actually play long enough to get to dawnguard.. lol)
skwareballz Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Is it the high res or low res version? or are both included like the updates?
Neovalen Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 130 files, 489MB, one set of files. Looks like 2048 only right now.
Starac Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 This is high-res pack. Read the description below. Later i'm gonna upload low-res.
Neovalen Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Not sure on that Starac, but I found another one I haven't found covered by SRO or any other in the TPC/STEP... This image taken in Embershard Iron Mine right outside Riverwood in the large cavern at the end.
