  1. Great ENB, the was my go to ENB before Seasons. Performance was fine on my rig and I thought the "bleakness" more in-line with the vanilla colors thans Seasons. Although Seasons is better I think in almost every other way, the game just looks better with it. But if the mood has me, Phinix is awesome!
  2. Saerileth you are awesome and so talented. Just had to say it. Option 2... although, it does look a little Mickey Mousey.
  3. I am using tonnes of huge textures everywhere, but Unique Grasses is the straw that breaks the camel's back for me too. I go into stutter hell when I have it installed at 2K, whereas without it, I only get momentary stutters occasionally when I am near super high texture load areas. BUT, unique grass is by far the best looking grass mod IMHO and even though Grasses on Grasses with density at 40 looks AMAZINGLY close (I tried it at 20 and it looks amazingly stupid, the grass is so dense it doesn't make sense!), I think I am going to try Unique grasses at a lower res to see what happens. I just further tested glorious grass/grass on steroids also and on close up the "individual grass" textures just look wrong, maybe the stems are just too unrealistically big. I think grass on grass just mess with density/distribution and doesn't mess with the texture themselves. I think I will play with lush grass & trees again some time... but I remember I had issues with the LOD trees looking all wierd when I use this mod. I do remember that the lush trees make for a much nicer denser more realistic looking forest though. I have installed the 512 version of Leaves and Dandelion mod and will look out for it in game and report back.
  4. Works fine with 0.252 I think, I tested a few scenes between 0.236 and 0.252 and they look the same to me, at least I haven't noticed any issues. I too use the performance version because I am using grass on grass mod and grass density set at 40 and with grass with shadows, this and any ENB mod really slows down. But with the performance preset I can sustain 50+ fps with this setup. (The grass looks great by-the-way and its very performance friendly. I think Unique Grasses look better, but the performance hit is much more substantial. Does anyone know how I can get rid of them odd tall stem flowers from SFO Diversity, they look out-of-place most of the time.) I am using SMC (modified with all maxed out texture resolutions) + ELE + Relighting Skyrim + COT + COT patch (using DN1 for darker nights but not too dark) + (temporarily using the dynamic shadows mod that comes with Skylight ENB, although I think it isn't 100% compatible with ELE, as I am getting a very few light glitches... but I am sticking with it a little longer because the dynamic shadows are AWESOME and is something that is lacking from both ELE and RS. I disable preload to VRAM in the enblocal as this seems to help fix the crash on reload issue, reserve memory set to 256 as I seem to get less stutters with a small setting, and memory set to 10240 as I am using a Titan and have 32Gb of RAM (primarily for photo editing actually!) I would install supreme storm & expanded snow systems & the associated COT patch mods if I had any more space in my load order.... they look great and really adds variety to the weather, but I have merged a ton of other plugins, and I am not comfortable to merge any more before I tested my game more. I am also using Dramatic Clouds and Real Clouds, the latter has come a long way and I think it looks great 98% of the time, I have seen a couple of odd glitches though, but they are super rare. One time I started in the sinking boat with Alternative Start and because you start the game below the water line, I think the Real Clouds spawned too low and some were in the water and that played havoc with the ENB and the water mod and look very strange. It fixed itself quickly once I was out of the water though. (My game sometimes CTD during a reload after I die, very frustrating, its better now though. Also for some ODD reason, when I run SKSE via Mod Organizer to boot up Skyrim, the first time I don't have access to my save games, the main menu comes up but I don't have the continue option, its like I just installed Skyrim, BUT oddly when I quit and reload again using Mod Organizer, the save games are back... It is VERY annoy after CTDs as I have to essentially wait for Skyrim to load twice before being able to play. IF ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON, it would be much appreciated.) (Titan + 4.2Ghz CPU by the way, so YMMV.) I tried Undramatic ENB and out of the box, I found the contrast to be very high, especially in bright sunlight and I found the shadows too unrealistic dark in the sun. I also didn't like the saturation in the colors, the reds and greens seem a little too out-of-place, Also I found the snow on a clear day just wasn't white enough which was immersion breaking, I ski a lot and I can tell you that Seasons ENB's snow is the closes thing to the real stuff, snow should be blinding and not a bright grey color. Totally a one man subjective opinion of course. Looks great in dungeons though. Could be tweaked.... but I've spent enough time with mucking ENBs, time to play some more. I just fixed (hopefully the final) CTD problem I was having, I had accidentally installed the new version of Mighty Magick and didn't realize that I had installed at the same time the Mighty Magick AIO.esp from these forums... not a great idea having both versions installed, didn't have a problem till I started playing with a mage character. Crashed everytime I was having a massive spell battle with other spell casters. Now its working again. Silly me.
  5. Just so people here know, remember if you use the COT Weather Patch then don't install this mod. They change some of the same image spaces and will conflict. Probably won't crash your game, just won't work in certain areas.
  6. After spending a better part of a weekend comparing ENBs, this is the one I am sticking with. Best bang for the bucks performance wise and absolutely the most stunning graphically. It's not cinematic like Somber, its realsitic with a touch of fantasy. The snow and ice is the best but far of all the ENBs I tested, very real. Love it. My No. 1!
  7. Not advocating its use as I can't objectively confirm that this mod is doing anything, but I have never encountered these CTDs associated with this mod. I suspect these menu CTD is due to the memory issue that was solved by Sheson rather than this mod, as I was getting those CTD before Safety Load (nor did Safety Load helped with this issue) as I scroll in inventory menus.
  8. I am still using it... Don't know why, but if it ain't broke don't fix it I say! Game has been super stable with Safety Load, SSME and ENBoost. I've over 350 (non-graphically mods) running I think, merging many of the mods together. The last instability was caused by Enhanced Blood Textures, which simply overloads the scripting engine and both Simple Multiple Follower and Frostfall with sent out messages that the script engine is too slow. Get rid of it and everything is fine again. It works just not with a million other scripts running with it. Miss it though, great mod, love the visceral affect it game to battles.
  9. Just saw some lighting from this mod... odd looking purple one using Seasons of Skyrim ENB... didn't like it. The Minty Lightning mod's lightning was better looking.
  10. I too with have a look at this mod and dandelion seed, I am currently using Skyrim Mod Combiner as a base to work from, I probably went a little overboard there and chose all 2K-4K MAX texture options for everything (probably not a good idea), even on a Titan with a heavy ENB my game stutters horribly, but Seasons of Skyrim ENB works great, looks great with good performance, I don't know how the author did it. I had to uninstall unique grasses (which is probably the worst culprit) and replace it with Grass on Steroids and that solved much of the stutter issues (except around super heavy areas like Windhelm.)
  11. This mod combined with the sandbox mod in Simple Multiple Followers (SMF) just works perfectly. Picture this: You finish adventuring and its dark and cold, you have been playing for hours and you are tired too. You break out camp and setup the campsite (which can be complicated with other mods if you decide to setup other things like a tanning rack, cooking pot, etc.), then you have to command your follower(s) to use the darn thing, before you go to bed, normally you are already awaken before they have used anything in the camp. Not so with SMF, pretty much the moment you make camp they start relaxing and use the camp, the setting up of this Camping Kit of the Northern Ranger is pretty simple and have a lot of furniture for your followers to interact. It's perfect.
  12. Saw this too, makes the road look like the type you find in Skyrim. Not sure if I want that. I never thought the darker/wetter looking dirt looked out of place really.
  13. It took the guy over 2 years between updates... so I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.
  14. Works great with Convenient Horses, the only suggestion for the author is if it were possible for the follower to look through the Convenient Horse's inventory for equipment too, that would be perfect! Come to think of it.... I am going to message him about it, right now. The way the mod works, I think it will be compatible with everything out there.
  15. If it works, then I consider this a fix of the vanilla skyrim. But I remember there was another mod that did the same thing that didn't really work properly.
  16. No problems, low level Lydia still feels the same as regular Lydia. Not OP at all, levels with you and seemingly the perks too.
  17. The profession mod is amazing too, I don't bother with the professions, I just use the part where you can add real game time when smithing, reading, alchemy etc. Just a little, it adds a lot more immersion when after you smith some epic equipment, its dark and you are starving!
  18. Amazing pack, congratulations on an impressive achievement. I was thinking you should put the Thalmor I-IV replacement esps on the Nexus for wider and modular distribution. Also the Helgen reborn one too! You'll have quite a few more fanboys like me that way!
  19. Odd... for me the frequency setting worked as advertised.
  20. Agree, but the author is still very active making the comments as appropriate as possible. I suggest that you make inappropriate comments known to the author for fixing.
  21. I don't think so, it has another function that emulates something like that, you can get your followers to wait anywhere and treat it like home. You'll need to check the mod description out to get the exact answer, as I never really used that function before.
  22. I've had no problems with version 10.1 (or version 10 for that matter) and I have Mighty Dragon & Deadly Dragon both running with it. Although I think Mighty Dragon (since its loaded below DCO) overrides many of the dragons including the main ones like Mirmulnir, so may be that is why my game isn't bugged. I noticed that the difficult setting of Might Dragon (Nightmare vs just plain Mighty) overrides the difficult settings in deadly dragon for the most part and the Nightmare dragons are almost IMPOSSIBLE to kill below level 18, even with the global difficulty setting at Novice! I think with both these installed you are getting more variety of dragons when they randomly respawn.
  23. (Moved to DCO thread)
  24. Its becoming more and more seemless, I still get the occasion NPC (a guard the last time) that is holding an invisible torch after talking to me. Otherwise it is working pretty well and realistic in-game.
  25. Great mod, have been using it the minute it was released and it was initially added to an existing game and now a new game. Simply works. The NPCs don't look like manga or hentai characters unlike some other mods, everyone simply looks more refined, like the creators simply made more of an effort with the sliders. Is in my load order for good. There is no reason to use Better NPC with this mod as both does pretty much the same thing, except Windsong's mod edits a ton more NPCs with bigger scope. Certainly a subjective thing though. If you like Better NPC more, than load it below Windsong. Of course they conflict, they edit the same things!
