ACCEPTED Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM (by Brumbek)
Nebulous112 replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Use the SMIM - ELFX - ENB patch. If using full version of RRR you may need to delete the Bee and Barb changes in the plugin (Darth reported second floor of Bee and Barb floor was messed up). You can also install the optional Bee and Barb sunlight fix (just assets, not related to the mentioned bug). -
Very nice! :-) I'll keep my eyes open for any more mods that require these type of tweaks. Edit: The only other thing I can think of right now is Vivid Weathers. Requires iTexMipMapSkip != 0; and fGamma = 1.0000. Recommends particle count to be = 6000 for dense snow. I believe the MCM defaults to a temporary setting of 2000 IIRC (setting is not saved upon reload, only permanently saved if .ini setting is changed). Also I don't know if it is possible or even relevant to scan for Skyrim Enhanced Camera. I know some ini settings are overriden by the mod's .ini by default, but I am not 100% what they are (I haven't really investigated it). I'm not sure if the default screws with the spINI presets or not. If it does, maybe a warning that some settings could not be applied? That is kinda heading down a slippery slope though, and I imagine is probably a lot of work to implement. But just an idea in case you find it appealing.

New mod by Gamwich, Rustic Death Hound. Looks like Neo already added it to base. -

Huge SMIM update today. Of particular note: - 3D ropes for Riften docks. New .esp if you don't use the merged version. - No more being blinded by carriages and smelters when using ENB! :-) - All USLEEP mesh fixes incorporated. Changelog: -
SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn

Probably not a bad idea. I know ICA is recommending a new game for v16. Also, it is mentioned at the beginning of the SR:LE Extended: LotD guide, but be aware that this guide is an add on for the original SR:LE. It assumes you have SR:LE already installed as well. -
Wow, thanks for this, Greg! :-) One other thing we should keep in mind is how the reverb changes from AOS affect things. AOS increases the reverb values through the plugin by quite a bit. Even if using the AOS reduced reverb patch, it is still much higher than vanilla - 3 or 4 times IIRC. And as Foggypath mentioned in his post, Lucidity is based on the vanilla reverb values.

Thanks for the update, DY! :-) That SFO auto-detection seems pretty neat. I wonder if it would be possible to use the same sort of auto-detection for Verdant? I don't use the mod myself, but I know a lot of people do. The mod description page for Verdant states that even if using it alongside SFO, iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure should always be set to 15. Or would checking for multiple mods make things way too complicated in the code?

You are using crash fixes with the preloader? UseOSAllocators=1? I think that crash can be caused by memory fragmentation. You need the new Crash Fixes 12 beta 4. Set it up the same way, but there are settings for memory blocks and an allocation log. If you check the posts section, on the first page or a page or two back there is a good explanation of how to set up the memory allocation blocks to reduce fragmentation. Should get rid of that crash. On mobile atm, so it would be a pain for me to try and look up to quote. If you can't find the info or get it working let me know and I will post more info this afternoon. -

Neo says in the SR:LE guide that the automatic load retains data it should not from after the save. No idea personally how much of an issue that could cause. -
Realistic Water Two Merge
Nebulous112 replied to befriendlyordie's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
There should be no errors. Also you should only have four files from installing Realistic Waters Two. RealisticWaterTwo.esp RealisticWaterTwo - Legendary.esp RealisticWaterTwo - Falskaar.esp RealisticWaterTwo - Waves - Falskaar.esp The Legendary file includes the waves files for the main game and DLCs. That might be your issue. I suggest reinstalling RWT per the SR:LE instructions (making sure to put it back where it belongs in the left pane), then checking out the merge instructions again. Make sure Merge Plugins is set up right. Should be no errors and everything should be smooth sailing. Good luck! -
We might want to let the SIC guys know as well. They're working on an update right now so perfect timing.

Hey Darth, ELFX - SMIM - ENB patch updated. Also, just wondering...the issue with the Bee and Barb, was that ever reported to the mod author? Or is it just a compatibility thing with Realistic Room Rentals? -

Nice, thanks man. :-) I take it your monitor survived? Good news. That would have sucked, especially if it was brand new! I always buy from Memory Express. Not sure if they're in BC, but they price beat anything advertised online and offer pretty cheap in-store warranties up to 4 years. Definitely has saved me a few times. -

Yeah there is a download for the CR on that CR subguide page. Top or bottom, I forget. As long as you installed the whole guide, no need to do it yourself. Just add the bash tags Delev and Relev to it with Wrye Bash. And sort its masters. Should talk about that at the end of the CR subguide though. And yeah, that is the important thing with using multiple profiles: Anything that will be different between two profiles (but is used in both) needs to be named differently. For example, if you have a mod where you install it with different options in your different profiles, just install the mod twice with different names. Same with all the patches. Otherwise it'll screw up one profile or the other. -

Pretty combat animations Pretty Female Idles are incompatible with LotD unless PCEA2 used, I think. Post about it on LotD Nexus page not too long ago. Check first page or a couple pages back. Basically it screws with the archaeology mining animations so you can never do the archaeology part. Edit: Also, do we need the AAE Undeath patch SirJesto made? I don't think SirJesto got a chance to put it in the merge before his monitor crapped out on him. Edit 2: After double checking I was wrong. Not pretty combat animations, pretty female idles. I knew it was something "pretty" anyway, lol. -

Download the CR first. Bashed patch and the rest should be individual per profile. Name them when you install them with the profile name or something so you keep them separate. -
Nice! Glad you got it fixed.

A brother in arms! My modding to playing ratio is a tad higher, but it does feel ridiculous sometimes. At least I can take some solace in the fact that I am not the only insane one around here! ;-) Edit: If you copy the profile (not "new' but "copy") it should keep everything. Should even copy the INI files. -

Psssshhhhhh. That is for people who actually play the game. I just mod the game! At least it seems that way sometimes, lol. :-D -

For Khajiit Speak, to keep it separate from your other mods, you can make a new profile. Click the profile name at the top. Go to manage profiles, then copy your SR:LE profile. Check the local saves checkbox. Call it something like SR:LE Khajiit. Then install the mod in the new profile. It will have separate saves and won't conflict with your main SR:LE profile. As to whether it will work properly or not...I have no idea. You would have to check in xEdit to see what the conflicts are. -
Yeah, I'm not sure with the sneak. With the enchanting table you may have forgotten to delete some files in the Revamped Assets Skyrim mod.
-
Yeah, that is not normal. And something is really wrong with that arcane enchanter, lol. Are you using additional mods besides what is in SR:LE? I suggest looking through SR:LE again and comparing with your setup. It is likely you missed some steps.
