  1. *sigh* Never mind. I managed to corrupt my save file, so sorting this out will be for the future. *mutters and starts all over... AGAIN*
  2. I only use SSE NIF Optimizer, cos CAO is, well, a bit of a hot mess these days. So I did run the meshes through it, but maybe I forgot to click the head parts. I will tinker with it a bit more and see if I can fix it myself. Thanks for the reply
  3. Hey guys, I installed a non-step mod, which replaces Thrynn. It is a LE mod, but I optimized the meshes and textures and even loaded and saved it in CK to get the correct form. However, when I bump into him in game, as soon as he gets close, my game crashes. And I *think* this is caused by a mesh error. I have a crash log, but I have no idea how to read those. I am hoping someone can help me figure out what is causing the crashes. The log is attached. Any help is very much appreciated. crash-2022-07-21-17-37-06.log
  4. I think the guys are saying "just use the settings from the guide". Those settings make Skyrim look and run amazingly. You could tinker with the textures (i.e. 4K instead of the usual 2K) if you want to squeeze all out of your machine. But upping the LOD won't make it look that much better.
  5. Discussion topic: College of Winterhold - Quest Expansion by jayserpa Wiki Link I am not sure if this would fall within the scope of STEP, but from the SOUND of this mod, it would make an logical addition. The mod blurb: It doesn't mess with the vanilla CoW quests, but adds to them so you get actual lessons in magic from the teachers... It should be compatible with Odin. There is a patch provided for At Your Own Pace.
  6. Yeah, I was confused about that bit at first as well, looking for the files on the data tab in MO2 and not finding them. But I be smard, so I figgereded it out
  7. But, I mean...MILLISECONDS! In this day and age milliseconds are important! I want everything NAO. Coincidentally I (forgot I) asked on Kryptopyr's patch hub about perhaps changing from levelled lists to SPID. This is DrMonops reply on it:
  8. Ah ok! I hadn't looked at the new list yet *blushes*
  9. Nature of the Wild Lands has been updated and now includes the Morthal region as well. Version 2.2: - The Morthal region is completely done. - Changed trees in the Markarth region. - The trees are slightly increased in size. - Almost all tree meshes have been optimized. - Added new types of trees. - Other minor fixes and improvements. - Added patch for Cities of the North - Falkreath. - Added patch for Elysium Estate. - Added patch for JK's Riverfall Cottage. - Added patch for LC_Build Your Noble House. - Added patch for Riverside Lodge.
  10. So what is the verdict on the recent changes? SPID version or not?
  11. Please add the OP instructions as well for those of us who don't/ are unable to install Step Patches though? Maybe under a spoiler or something?
  12. It mentions disabling ELFX Fixes.esp? I assume that is an error?
  13. And the Nemesis fix as well I guess.
  14. He is? With TCIY he still kept barking at me. With AYOP, he didn't. Odd. And I have AYOP winning anyway now, since I put it under "Patches", not Quests.
  15. Following on what Eliian said, and which I forgot to mention in my take on AYOP: I also didn't use the Thieves Guild addon, since Taking Care of Business does a good job with that. So for me it would be: Companions, with forwarded USSEP; College (though I haven't been there yet in this playthrough); Main and finally Misc (especially for Jaree... I KNOW you have a little work for me. Hush it before I make you into a pair of lizard leather boots!)
  16. After testing this for a while in my (limited) playthrough, I must say this is a vast improvement over Not So Fast. Especially the Main Quest is great. It just stops after each step, but leaves a clue in the journal of where to pick it back up when you are ready. So I would vote to use this over Not So Fast.
  17. Well, the FOMOD has been fixed (repeatedly). Seems to be working fine now in case anyone wants to download this for now, instead of the separate patches. Just be sure to manually select "Gemling Queen Jewelry", since that isn't automatically selected (cos it is just textures and meshes and no pluging file). Hopefully now they will keep the FOMOD up to date?
  18. Ah ok, thanks. Gotcha *gets more coffee to wake up my last remaining braincell*
  19. I saw HLT had a hotfix. Does this need an update as well? Asking cos I am about to redo DynDOLOD.
  20. There is an error in the Fomod as well I noticed. It standard installs a patch for Nightingale Hall whether you have it installed or not.
  21. The Fomod at the patch hub has been updated. I know the guide calls for downloading the individual patches, so I am just mentioning it for awareness. I personally downloaded it and it turned out I was missing like 6 patches, cos my modlist has been so fluid recently, that I forgot to check for patches here *sigh*
