  1. Hey Sheson, Just found out about Version 3! So of course I had to download it and try it out. TexGen went without a hitch (one error) However when trying to do the lod gen I got this message: Load order FileID [32] can not be mapped to file FileID for file "DynDOLOD.esp". Can you tell me what this means exactly? Does it mean that load order esp (Blackthorn manor in this case) is causing the problem. If so, is there anything I can do about it myself? Just in case, I have also uploaded the needed logs to Mega. Thanks for any help/ info you can provided. And for your amazing work!
  2. Hey TechAngel, This is not a bug report, but I couldn't find a suggestions/ questions post for SE Core. I am just wondering about the use of "oldrim" mods. In the past I have had problems with unconverted meshes and/or textures, such as unexplained ctd. So I am wondering if the used "oldrim" mods should be converted with, say, Cathedral Asset Optimizer? For me it is standard practise now, but maybe to err on the safe side for people new to modding SE. Also, LOOT threw out a few recommendations when I ran it after installing the core. Most recommendations were about needing patches from QUASIPC to make things work nice® together. Perhaps it is an idea to add QUASIPC to the list as well? LOOT also mentioned that Realistic Water, Farmhouse Chimneys and Audio Overhaul needed to be cleaned. Maybe you could add to the running LOOT part of the guide, that dirty plugins need to be cleaned with SSE Edit Autoclean for the less experienced modders?
  3. Thank you GrantSP and Tannin for the replies. I did manage to get MO installed without (obvious) missing dependancies AND this time it does recognize the game files and DLC. Woot... progress. I installed MO into the Steam folder on the POL virtual drive. However I can't start Skyrim with the SKSE_loader through MO. I can however install mods now with MO. Downloading from Nexus doesn't work. Or rather, it starts to download, but then gives a download error. But this could potentially be solved by manually downloading mods from Nexus and then installing through MO. I set up Wine to emulate Windows 7; both Skyrim and MO are installed on a 32-bit virtual drive with POL; It uses Wine version 1.7.33 (x86). Despite Tannin's "warning", I will keep tinkering with it, to see if there is a way to get MO to work in POL/ Wine. I shall report back with progress or failure. - Moo
  4. Hi everyone, I have tried searching the forums for an answer, but I couldn't find anything, so here goes: I have tried to install MO on my linux pc with PlayonLinux (POL), but it doesn't "recognize" the game and DLC files. Firstly I installed Steam with POL, then manually installed SKSE into the POL-Skyrim folder. Then setup SKSE to start as an .exe, so Skyrim will always start with SKSE loader. So far so good. But then when I installed MO problems started. First I installed into it's own folder in the POL-Skyrim setup. After starting it up, it did immediately recognize SKSE. but when I tried to start skyrim, it said no game files and dlc were installed. Second, I installed MO through POL into it's own "virtual drive" and pointed it to the Skyrim install. Again it recognized SKSE immediately, and again it said no game files and dlc were installed. btw, both Skyrim and MO were setup as 32-bit. So, I am kinda stuck at the moment. My questions are: Does anyone know how to set up MO with Linux? Is this even possible? Thanks in advance :) - Moo.
  5. I had the double iris thing as well. Deleting NVR3 completely sorted the problem, so it was indeed a conflict with that mod, as Audley said. Btw, I deleted NVR3 because I like the skins from FCO much better. Personal taste and all that.
  6. Thank you guys for the tips! Unfortunately they didn't have any effect. So I decided to do the tedious thing and unticking all the mods I added since I knew it DID work (up until UIO) and then adding them back in blocks of 3. After adding these blocks of mods, I LOOTed and Wrye Bashed. And of course, the very last one I added back was the culprit... It was a TTW Quest mod called "Point Lookout Reborn". This mod apparently had two different ESM, because I didn't merge but overwritten (DUH me). After "optionalising" one of them, I got the Vaultec Dude head and the menu overlay! YAY! So it wasn't actually a F&LNV issue. Unfortunately I am aware that this was a very specific issue that not many people will have, unless they also use this mod and have two ESM. For others who may not get the main menu overlay: this issue is (I expect) very similar to not hiding BSA's after extracting them and/or setting esm/esp from merged patches to optional! So make sure you check, double-check and even triple-check if you indeed did that. Thank you for the help and I hope this will help someone else in the future. - Moo.
  7. Hi everyone, I recently decided to do another playthrough of FO3/ FNV (with TTW) and I wanted to use MO instead of FOMM to do so. So EssArrBee's F&L guide was perfect (thanks so much!) Now here comes the "however" and backstory: I followed the guide to the T, but I did not install all the mentioned mods. Items I knew I wouldn't need/ use I excluded. But I did follow all the directions for the mods I did install. I did the "does it work" test after UIO and indeed, it worked fine. I had also installed TTW and some fixes by then. But as said, it worked fine. I was born! So I merrily followed the guide to the end, picking the mods I wanted. Did the FNVLODGen, LOOT and BAshed patch. No missing masters etc. So far so good, eh? Then finally I was ready to start the game, so I selected 4GB in MO, ran it and... "Exception 0xc0000417 (unknown software error)". Hmm, doesn't sound good. Went into MO and checked for errors. Nothing wrong! Ah wait... there is a newer version of MO! Duh. So I updated to 1.3.7. And tried again. YAY! It starts. I got the ENB Boost messages, but wait... there is no main menu? The background images loaded, but no Vaultec dude's head and no main menu to actually start the game. I had to close via Task manager. So I went to this forum and I saw someone else also had this issue, but... apparently it was never resolved?? Anyway, I followed the suggestions made in that post. I extracted all the bsa's (except Spice of Life and the Bethesda bsa's). Alas, no change. The game also has no main menu/ Vaulttec dude head when I start with NVSE or the official starter. So now I turn to you for help, my Brethren in Modding. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Or more importantly, how I can resolve it? Below is my mod list. Thanks in advance!
