ACCEPTED XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended (by Groovtama)
n0mad23 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I've had less issues with XPMSE installed than I did with XPMS. Many of the animations which just didn't quite "work" with XP32 now do for me and my choice to use HDT in conjunction with Rustic Clothing now means the tavern wenches breasts no longer threaten to fall out of their tops. Other HDT glitch issues have all but totally disappeared with XPMSE, too. This is outside the mandate of STEP to be sure. However, I suspect I'm not the only fan of the STEP's team work that uses STEP as a means of creating a stable platform with which further "eye-candy/playability" personal choices in modding can be safely attempted. In my experience, XPMSE has helped tremendously. While I have no desire to see HDT with armors, I do find it really helps with immersion seeing a little bit of bounce in gals with dresses dancing to my Become a Bard performances in the various inns and taverns. -
Can't enable SKSE 1.7.3 memory patch
n0mad23 replied to Spock's question in General Skyrim LE Support
A few days later, and tweaking things to regain stability after installing DynDoLOD with the use of memory blocks log I've discovered that SKSE.ini in its CORRECT DIRECTORY might not in fact be the one being used by MO for start up. Try as I might, changing the defaultHeapInitialAllocMB in skse.ini didn't change the default as seen in my memory blocks log. I did a search of my Skyrim directory and found another mod (in this case it was a HDT mod for SoS) had a skse.ini that had a higher priority. Changing the settings in this .ini was the ticket. So for future reference, I'd suggest doing a search for SKSE.ini in your local folders and see if this is the case if modifying the ini doesn't work. It just might be located in a place you weren't expecting if you've stepped outside the STEP mandates. BTW - memory blocks log should be every modders best friend. -
Military deployment- need advice for gaming laptop
n0mad23 replied to aaltair's topic in Step Banter Inn
My eldest daughter has been using an Apache for about a year and a half now. She's got nothing but good things to say about it. That's an amazing deal for a really decent gaming laptop. No kidding. -

$1500 will get you an decent MSI GT72 Dominator. It's a pretty beast, too - https://www.amazon.com/Dominator-G-1445-Notebook-Computer-i7-5700HQ/dp/B00ZJKDEI6/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1448409313&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=MSI+GT72&psc=1 I didn't think I'd love the back-lit Steel Series keyboard as much as I do. It's even got a built in 4 inch subwoofer so you can feel those fireballs as well as hear them! -

The Nvidia mobile 900 series are really quite good. I've got a GTX 970M in my MSI Dominator and I've yet to find a game that I have to dial down the graphics on. I'd say a big thing to keep your eyes on is how cool does the laptop stay. My MSI Dominator is probably about 2x's the money you want to spend, but I'm going to pump up the cooling system that this laptop uses. I've yet to get either my CPU or GPU up to 70F regardless of what I'm playing. Excessive heat on any processors in a gaming laptop can be a real problem. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
n0mad23 replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
I must admit I didn't have very good experiences with TES5LODGen outside of tree LODs, so I've been dragging my feet regarding installing DynDOLOD. Why did I ever hesitate? I'm playing on an MSI GT72 Dominator (non-pro version) laptop, and the DynDOLOD videos really don't do this mod justice. I'm with Assany - it's like digital witchcraft. I'm using the medium quality settings and am not experiencing any fps loss at all that I can notice. I did have some initial problems in Solitude (the game would hang upon exiting a building after going in and out of doors between 6 and 8 times in that city consistently) which got me to fire up Memory Block Log to see if all my additional NPCs was the cause. While I seem to be getting close to my limits, it was good to see that memory allocation doesn't seem to be the problem. I'm using Inconsequential NPCs, the Erkeil team's Populated Skyrim series, Interesting NPCs, and (less) Lively Inns and Taverns so I've got a pretty populated Solitude these days. Strangely enough, I tried disabling DynDOLOAD to see if I could prevent the ILS I was having in Solitude via the MCM menu and adopt that as a cheat/work-around while in the city, and then was surprised to realize that it reactivates upon entering the world space, and haven't had the ILS problem since. It's almost like doing a "soft-reboot" of DynDOLOD within the game kicked loose whatever glitch was happening. I've spent approximately 4 hours dashing from one area to the next and have had no issues whatsoever outside of my initial ILS problems in Solitude. Since then I've actually gone in and out of shops, the palace, and Proudspire Manor over a dozen times sequentially and haven't had even a hiccup. Sheson - whether you are a modding Divine or a Daedric Daemon coder, you have my thanks and my awe. I'm a solid convert now only a day into DynDOLOD use. -
Disappointing Frame Rates (FPS)
n0mad23 replied to Pillendreher's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I found experimenting with my ENBlocal.ini settings helped a lot. Your VideoMemorySizeMb= might be set somewhat higher (how much system RAM do you have?) and I found with my laptop I had to set ReservedMemorySizeMb=640 to reign in stuttering.- 80 replies

OK3SEKSY NET 9000 is in a better beta form, and it's time that it was posted here to be tracked. From the Description: 0S3KZYNET 9000 is an adult animation mod for Skyrim that adds seamless, fully animated, player driven, adult animation scenes of lovemaking and embracing. Every action is controlled by the player on input, the characters never teleport or appear in a position, every movement they make is fully animated for a perfect seamless quality. I have done every animation in this mod by hand. As well as the art work on this page by myself. It currently has just under 600 .hkx files. All animations are consensual / romantic, and depict no illegal activities. Version 1.05 is now up and includes kissing. Nexus Mod Page link here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69448/? This newest version features in-game configuration via MCM. While I remain rather ambivalent about "adult mods" for Skyrim, I do think CEO's current work stands in a camp of it's own. The animation is the best I've seen in terms of fluidity and natural movement (outside the sex element) and it suggest some major paradigm changes in terms of FNIS additions. This really is more of a "Immersive Fondling" or "Immersive Cuddling" mod than its porn inspired predecessors, at least in its current beta form. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who has been following this strange addition.

[ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
n0mad23 replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
I think Error 2022 indicates a directory problem. The patch errors are a baffling. Are you positive that you have installed each of these animation mods? I'd try one at a time, and make your behavior updates, test, and then do the next. It might make problem solving easier. -
I can't help but wonder, does anyone with a heavily modded Skyrim NEVER have occasional CTDs? I think if anyone ever claims they do, I'll suspect they're not being honest!

After seeing this on Nexus today, I'm happier than ever on my decision to go with MO over NMM. I bought this CD only a few months ago, and find I just can't get enough of it. Those On-U-Soundsystem chaps are something else. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJz20oiwSXI One from my own personal archives - this one was an experiment in Ambient Dub Field Recordings. Installing Fnis sexy move with MO..
n0mad23 replied to TremplarsGlory's question in Mod Organizer Support
Did you do the last step and turn the "overwrite" file at the bottom of your left pane into a mod (I name mine FNIS 1, FNIS2) and enable it? -
I've wondered about certain stutter spots in my game while outdoors. I'm usually fairly sure that it's crossing over a cell boundary, but occasionally I will notice a flock of birds nearby exploding (launching?) from a bush and have wondered then if I'm experiencing this "birds and flocks" problem. Personally I like the mod for what it adds. Things like flocks exploding from bushes, and hawks circling overhead definitely makes the place feel more vibrant and alive. Have any of you scripting gods/goddesses (I'm sure you lurk here at least occasionally) ever considered doing a redo? Knowing with certainty that added birds won't eventually bloat out our saves (whether the mod actually does so seems to still cause some debate) would sure be a lovely thing.

Nvidia or AMD user, NAMDORG? Might be some tweaks that can be done there as well that might help.

Is it possible to permanently resize the information dialog.
n0mad23 replied to echo451's question in Mod Organizer Support
For fellow gaming Graybeards, I'd like to personally offer a thank you for this information. My biggest un-articulated complaint about my 1920 laptop display is text has gotten way too tiny for my aging eyes. The graphics are beautiful, but I'm always reaching for my reading glasses whenever information dialogs pop up on the screen. I had no idea that DPI settings could be manipulated with the compatibility tab. SWEET!!!! -
Oh man - ENBoost, that was your issue. I had horrible troubles getting this working initially, and when I finally couldn't put it off any longer, I was getting really frequent and fairly consistent CTDs. For me it was Windhelm - I couldn't walk out either of the gates without it crashing. Fast traveling would get me out, but I'd CTD every half hour or so. After getting ENBoost working, I had over 30 hours (many 2 to 3 hour sessions) logged in without a single CTD. It's an exploit/fix that CANNOT be over-recommended imo.

Anyone in the Pacific Northwest need a cat? In addition to our three family members, we have 5 feral/strays that were born in the woodpile next door that we've spent a year and a half socializing and teaching them to be human friendly. They've all been neutered/spayed and vaccinated. All 5 are actually "keepers" - socially aware, generous (no pushing at feeding times), and super friendly with each other. In a year and a half, I've yet to see any real conflicts between any of them. All are as sharp as needles, too, and 3 have learned by watching our indoor cats how to open the sliding screen windows to let themselves in. Two of the others will jump onto the kitchen window to let us know that they would like some attention. Eight cats is too much for anyone, even crazy cat-ladies. They need homes. Figure I have another nets cast now, that tossing one here can't hurt.

Is it possible that this is a Load Order issue? LOOT can make mistakes. Probably grasping at straws here, but it keeps popping into my head whenever I read this thread.

There are limits to what Skyrim can actually handle, regardless of what your system specs are and all the fixes and tweaks that have been discovered and exploited along the way. At a certain point, you just have to decide what's the most important to you and trim out the excess.

[ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
n0mad23 replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
MO seems to be finicky with command lines too. My last upgrade of FNIS required 3 attempts with directing MO to the newest .exe before it worked. The tiniest of mistakes and things do not work. -
I had a similar problem with Windhelm on my last MO LO build. Trying to exit the city would lead to a CTD every time. It was a LO problem, but I can't for the life of me remember what the conflict was. Getting the right LO (lots of trial and error as I recall) fixed the problem all together.

@TechAngel85 - yes please. Make those cheat sheets available!

This is helpful stuff and personally timely. I've been wrestling with whether or not to look into this side of things and this is the info I've needed to take the challenge. "Challenge Accepted!" Cheers.

ACCEPTED Consistent Older People (by Winterlove)
n0mad23 replied to Kelmych's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I actually remembered about this one sometime in the last month or so and installed the latest version. It's working well enough that I'd forgotten all about it until seeing this thread reopened and then looking at my LO. It's there and doing its job. No obvious conflicts anyway.
