  1. Do you have XP23 arm fixed checked when you generate your FNIS file? The bowed arms sounds like this problem.
  2. You should breathe a sigh of relief. ENBoost is working as intended, and your game just got a whole lot more stable! This is of course if this is what you've intended. If you're using it as an ENB graphic enhancement, well there's a problem.
  3. Tech - are you referring to the wobble when standing in place, or the one you can enable for walking? If it's the latter, I actually prefer it on as it's far more mellow than I was expecting. Vanilla gliding in 1st just feels wrong to me. If you're referring to the wobble while idling in 1st person, I couldn't agree more. It's even worse if you've got a blade or bow in hand. That said, I'll be keeping it solely because of horseback riding. I'd probably say the same about playing as a werewolf, but haven't actually tried that in my current run-through with Enhanced Cameras in my LO. I do like seeing my own shadow, too.

Bug reports welcome!Face to Face Conversation (though it will 'hijack' the camera while in a conversation, though I find this useful!)Works with controllers as well! I've been playing around with this one for a while now and have had no issues, so I thought I'd make it known in case anyone else wants a try. I love the MCM hotkey configuration and it plays really well with Enhanced Camera. EDIT - there does seem to be an issue with the mod at this stage for those who have changed their FOV settings. After using, your FOV will be reset to the vanilla standard. This is being looked at and is looking to be fixed. It's not an issue for me as I'm using the standard FOV.
  5. There's a fix for those dancing trees if that movement if s a bit to "fast and furious." Skysight's Simply Bigger Trees has a little ESP that slows branch movement speed by 1/3. Though it wasn't made for SFO, I'm guessing it would work. Here's the page where it can be downloaded - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56877/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D56877&pUp=1
  6. Yup - stability and decent fps is where it's at. Figuring out where the line is between having "eye candy" (and if you can, why wouldn't you?) and a smooth playing game is the tricky part. While I've got a laptop that's truly a Beast, I've had to come to grips with its limitations. My GTX 970M is probably more the equivalent of the 600 series in terms of capabilities, and even with 6 gigs of VRAM and ENBoost that somehow overcomes some of both the game engine's and the 970's limitations, there are some things that push just a bit too hard. SIMM was my biggest compromise. It's just a bit too demanding of my machine and keeping 2 and 1k textures instead makes more sense for these eyes and a 17 inch monitor. STEP truly delivers a gorgeous and inherently stable (in terms of a modded game) experience. Best resource community around.
  7. I had a very similar reaction when I got it up and running like you have - definitely felt like I finally knew enough to have some control of things, plus it looked even better than I'd expected. I still haven't gone for an ENB, which is how nice it looks to me (plus my own research into ENBs hasn't arrived at one I feel I "NEED" and my own aesthetic doesn't match those going fantasy - the saturation doesn't work for me). I did give SweetFX a try on a whim as it looked a whole lot easier to do. Even though the effects are extremely subtle (the tweaked preset I'm using), I'm really surprised at how much it actually does in terms of shadows and making things crisper. You might consider this as an alternate course, echo.
  8. I'm actually glad I've got such low expectations. Comes from years and years of living with computers either on the edge of, or in the state of, obsolescence. Granted a heavily modded Skyrim requires a degree of willing suspension of disbelief when it comes to flora clipping, the movement of grass in the wind, etc., however, I've had moments of total vertigo as my aging brain attempts to process the overload of visual information streaming in. It's not realistic, this environment. It's hyper-realistic, almost bordering on something that feels surreal at times. And I'm just using SweetFX with a tweaked Dull OmniFX preset, no ENB! I'm not sure I could handle Witcher lol! Like I say, my expectations seem to be quite low.
  9. lol - you reminded me, Greg, of my first play-through and my first encounter with 2 Trolls. I died 3 times back to back fighting them, then pulled up the menu and lowered the difficulty, backed out to the game and killed them. Then I went back in and reset the difficulty back up and swore I'd never tell anyone. Be careful about swearing - next thing you know you'll be telling everyone anyway - lol. It's an easy trick to forget after a few hundred hours playing the game. Thanks for the reminder.
  10. So gang...do we have a "backup" plan for replacing these should they go the route of SRO? I'm guessing most of this group all have archived copies of both SRO and Skyrim HD 2k, so we're OK, but what about those who discover STEP next week or the week after? Landscape texture replacement was my first motivation to actually mod this game. It was researching that aspect that originally led me here.
  11. I'll volunteer to make a thread in the mods section when it's developed a bit further. I was reading the associated thread on Nexus forums, and it sounds like the author is opting to include more hugging, cuddling, and kissing than graphic sex, which may indeed have a place in some users desire for immersion. There's a video now up on the description page. Honestly, the animations are surprising good. Huh.... I'm guessing the people involved with Skyrim Romance Mod are ecstatic. The interactive romance model where all that flirting, misunderstandings, and steamy tension can finally get some relief without it turning into a scene from a McPorn-Studio.
  12. But where are the Flamez? Where are the personal attacks? Don't you people understand how forums operate?
  13. Best advice ever - make alternative MO profiles before experimentation/testing. Something I always do but somehow forget to mention when giving advice. (face palm moment).
  14. @ray0071 - I think the dimonized unp female body is what's going for "vanilla" if I'm understanding things. That actually was the one I started with but replaced it with Mature Skins as the same meshes and textures are done. I just really prefer the textures with Maeven2's work.
  15. @ray0071 - I went UNP but don't ask me why, as it was fairly arbitrary. Our aesthetics seem to be fairly parallel, and skimpy armor just isn't going to work for me. Good news - in my experience so far, I've had no issue with my UNP NPCs using regular armor (however, we're in STEP so my armors are amedianborn variants) at all. I've really been quite delighted with Maevan2's Mature Skins as the pores/blemishes, etc. tease out that "realism" that I'm really digging. BTW - FNIS Sexy Moves is configurable with MCM to prevent NPCs from swinging hips unreasonably while wearing armor which is good to note if you include something like this. I use it to add some variety to the walking animations, but have the 3 "sexiest" walks disabled and have the MCM menu set to use the moves as sparingly as possible. Honestly I still find some of them to be a bit over the top, but am enjoying seeing a bit of diversity in movement. I'm still scratching my head over XCE as well. Currently I've got it disabled all together as every file was being overwritten anyway by one of the UNP files coming after it. Several mods DO SAY that there will be texture conflicts when using XCE in conjunction with CBBE or UNPs but I personally haven't experienced this. This is not to say it's not an issue, rather I haven't experienced it. Definitely play close attention to the recommended load order in the descriptions of whatever you use. I found this to be extremely important for avoiding neck seams, gray face bug, etc. Hope some of this helps. Cheers.
  16. I spent most of my teen years almost downwind of Hanford. Luckily there was a naked mountain range between me and the place, so 90% of the time the air flowing west kept any "fallout" from getting north to us. When there were wildfires there, the local volunteer firefighters were kept away because "shhh - the smoke is too hot." The leaking tanks there are a well know and under-reported problem now going back at least a decade. The biggest problem I see with nuclear energy currently is that of business. When quarterly profits trump every other concern, corners are cut and safety issues ignored. Time and again we've seen this issues with Big Oil in the last couple of decades, and it's equally true of the oil/gas pipelines - privately owned and publicly insured. With the pipeline fiascoes, you actually have to be nearby to hear anything as news outlets tend to ignore these things. Seriously. How many here heard of the pipeline explosion in Bellingham Washington back in 99 or 2000? It killed three kids and burned several miles of creek bed. My friends on the east coast read and heard nothing. Here in the US, our nuclear plants are privately owned, inspection is difficult at best due to the classified nature of all things nuclear, and yet insurance comes for these privately owned entities are bestowed by the public sector. If an accident happens, it's the taxpayer who gets to foot the bill. If you're outside of the five mile protected radius, you're out of luck insurance wise as a citizen. I'd have more confidence in it if there was more interest in the energy aspect and less in the profits. I'm still waiting to see some research into pebble-bed reactors as they seem a whole lot less likely to have catastrophic disasters - however, due to the profit margin factor I suspect we're locked into antiquated tech as those investment have been mad. My heresy really is this - we should be going to the moon and getting our hands on all that available helium 3 and going for fusion. It's probably a better solution in the long run. Edit - it probably looks like I'm anit-nuke from this post, but really I'm more skeptical about "business as usual."
  17. Miles Davis rules. Gave my daughter her first Miles CD when she was 8 - no looking back for her now, and her trumpet playing reflects it (11 years later)! For you Dub heads, this is pretty cool. I was just alerted to its existence, and find it all very flattering. I did an internet radio stream back in 2014 and apparently it inspired this: Fortress of The Rebel Soul by Big Wave Records. https://bigwaverecords.bandcamp.com/album/fortress-of-the-rebel-soul Streaming and available for download - can't beat the price! Freebie musick!
  18. Yes. For example, if you look at Better Males STEP recommends Geonox Faces and Underwear. On that file page above "Underwear" are two choices for nude males. Compatible but outside the lore-friendly mandate. Because I'm using Expanded Cities and Towns, and there are bathers added to the hot-springs beside Darkwater Crossing, I elected to go with nudes instead of the underwear versions. All my favorite hot-springs have been those where everyone goes 'au naturale.' I have elected to go with the non-viagra version. Women are a bit trickier, but also seem to have more choices, too. The XP32 Maximum Skeleton is compatible with CHSBHC/UNPB-BBP so a bit of searching and researching is in order to go this route. Personally, I'd recommend "Mature Skin Texture and Body for UNP(B) 7BASE CBBE Vanilla" by Maevan2 but this is my aesthetic. I'm digging that everyone doesn't have teen skin, and it seems to cooperate nicely with Consistent Older People.
  19. RW2 for me was a "must have" after I saw a video showing the water at Riften. Seeing little waves and ripples in the lake while the waters remain calm inside the water-gates was a huge seller for me. Comparing them all against the vanilla waters it's pretty obvious that these mods have succeeded tremendously. Outside of getting really ambitious and mixing/matching them to your own tastes, I guess it really comes down to personal preference, doesn't it? Echo451 has given us another useful data set to consider for those wrestling with teasing out a couple extra fps!
  20. @Pretnedeavor - I've wondered about mixing and matching. Could you please post a pic somewhere? I'd love to see this!
  21. It's Skyrim Immersive Coitus, that's what it is. After a long two days braving deadly blizzards and nearly dying twice trying to gather enough firewood west of Dawnstar, gathering drinking water and boiling it to rid it of those pesky Realistic Diseases, never mind braving those pesky Nord styled alterations, all this Breton born Dragonborn wants to do is get back home to Whiterun. He knows his house carl will have roast goat, slaughterfish soup, and Black-Briar Mead waiting. He runs the whole way in his Daedric boots, and by now everyone knows what this implies. Haelga knows. Oh yes, Haelga knows. After replenishing those much needed calories, they'll go upstairs for some good old fashioned Tundra styled body heat sharing with Auroras visible through the smoke slots in the roof. But before sleep arrives, he'll need to dispel some of the tension that comes with questing. Skyrim Immersive Coitus. Afterwards they'll sit crosslegged and smoke their Pipes of Skyrim, because that's what you do. I don't know - I still think kissing a bare breast is less offensive and more entertaining than putting an ebony arrow into one, but maybe that's just me....
  22. My latest "discovery" is that you can hold "F" while in 3rd person view and look at your character head on with weapons equipped or even watch yourself fight this way. Very cool to keep finding little things like this!
  23. Lol - Right after posting this, I went to Nexus and it has indeed disappeared from the Hot Files splash page, but not from the latest updates. Since it seems some of us don't actually visit Nexus as often as I'd thought, here's the link to the mod in question: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69448/? Edit - just went for the link, and it's back on the Hot Files on the front page again. My impression is it's a sex animation mod that's the equivalent of a 16 speed manual transmission. Lot's of control, with plenty of opportunity to grind those gears into dust.
  24. Obvious question as it's possible I believe to become thane without doing the mission for the jarl - have you done the Bleak Falls Barrow quest? That is the primary requirement for buying Breezehome.
  25. It's on the bloody "Hot Files" list, so there's no way you haven't seen it. Shall we place bets on: A) how long before it's pulled from Nexus? B) gets the most votes for Sept.? C) did anyone actually see another such mod actually appearing on Nexus? D) gets honorable mention for most creative use of graphics having nothing to do with the mod?
