  1. Kelmych, When installing better clutter and furniture pack, the file directory is incorrect. You need to extract it and put the clutter and furniture folders into a textures folder then repack into named archive. Guide will need these instructions kinda like Hi-Res Vault Doors has. Same goes for Vertibird Re-texured (missing textures directory folder). Realistic Interior Lighting - I would remove that link and just use the merged mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/16787. People might get confused and install both. RIL is not needed, paradox merged mod handles it. Arlington House Restoration - there is no update to install. No installation note needed. Big Town Overhaul - I think Optional Gang Store is only needed. LOOT says/shows bigtownoverhaul and the bigtownoverhaul - gangstore esp's conflict with each other. I think only 1 is needed. Temple of the Union overhaul - Freedomrifle weapon texture not in proper directory. From mod website - "The file "1stPersonFreedomRifle" should be in the directory Fallout 3 > Data > Textures > FreedomRifle " or.... does it need to go in textures > weapons > 2handrifle? I posted on the mods page to see if I can get clarification. A brand new unique weapon: The Freedom Rifle. This retextured hunting rifle has been made more powerful and looks pretty mean! Flora Overhaul - Cleaning Warning: Do not clean UDR records from this mod, otherwise, the game will crash on startup. Recommend removing cleaning tag MedRes under mod name. (and change Cleaning Warning to red color)
  2. aanthonyz, this is what is in the STEP extended patch https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP_Extended_Patch_Changelog
  3. I just noticed one thing quick. You dont need Realistic Water Two dragonborn.esp and dawngaurd.esp because you have the legendary one (Dawnguard + Dragonborn) which includes the DLC. You can remove RealisticWaterTwo - Dawnguard.esp, RealisticWaterTwo - Dragonborn.esp and RealisticWaterTwo - Waves - Dawnguard.esp also Notice:The following can be safely deactivated or moved to Optional ESPs if using the Unofficial Skyrim Patch and the STEP Patches. SMIM-FarmhouseFlickeringFix.esp - redundant with the Unofficial Skyrim Patch SMIM-DragonbornTernFix.esp - redundant with the STEP Patches SMIM-FurnitureChestSnowFix.esp - redundant with the STEP Patches SMIM-DungeonsCliffsIceSkirts.esp - redundant with the STEP Patches SMIM-ShackRoofFixes.esp - redundant with the STEP Patches SMIM-ShackRoofFixesDragonborn.esp - redundant with the STEP Patchesremove all your SMIM .esp since you are using the STEP extended patch. also I am curious why UFO - Dragonborn AddOn.esp is loading before UFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul.esp. This is what is in the STEP extended patch: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP_Extended_Patch_Changelog so you can also remove - From Even Better Quest Objectives (because its all in the STEP extended patch also BetterQuestObjectives-DBForevertoMisc.espBetterQuestObjective-CuttingRoomFloor.espBetterQuestObjectives-NECPatch.espBetterQuestObjectives-PaarDilemmaPatch.espthis how LOOT sorts my setup. 4. Kelmych, when installing Fallout Stutter remover you ask us to edit the FOSE/plugins/sr_New_Vegas_Stutter_Remover.ini, to: Master = { _comment = You can turn on or off each distinct feature from here. bManageFPS = 1 bHookGetTickCount = 1 bHookCriticalSections = 1 bHookHashtables = 1 bReplaceHeap = 0 <-- Needed for heap replacement, only for advanced users, detailed info in the readme bLogToConsole = 0 bFastExit = 1 bFlushLog = 1 iSchedulingResolution = 1 bReplaceRandom = 1 bExperimentalStuff = 0 iMainHookPoint = 1} I noticed in the original ini there are 2 lines missing from the above. bHookLightCriticalSections = 1 and bReplaceGetTickCount = 1. Are we leaving these in the .ini or removing them? When installing Better High Detail map and icons we are asked to fix the menu selections by: Right click the mod in the left panel of MO and selectOpen in explorer.Using (or an equivalently capable editor) open menusmainmap_menu.xml.In lines 149, 268, and 393 change 660 to 650.Close the explorer window. But when I go in the map_menu.xml It does not match up with what your asking us to do. Nor when I search for the number 660, its not found.
  5. Only thing I can think of is install the game normally on C: like your other steam games, and install Mod Organizer (if you use that) on the D: drive. (most free space for mods) Hope both your drives are SSD ;)
  6. Kelmych, Do you use the load order of FWE according to the mod instructions with loot meta rules? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/2761/? if you scroll half way down you can see them. Or do you let loot auto sort the load order? Thanks. GP, Do you have FO3 GOTY on steam, if so is it on a different drive from steam? I know you mentioned moving your FO3 stuff to a different drive. Did you install GFWL in the default directory on your main drive? Did you try running FO3 before disabling the xlive.dll?
  7. Do you have games for windows live installed? Maybe need to install that for a first time boot of FO3 to build the .ini files. I am not sure.
  8. Have you seen the Clear and Present Danger FO3 guide? https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Kelmych/Fallout3
  9. sounds like its trying to look for windows live, did you run the disabler? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/1086 Open the zip file, or extract the contents of the zip file, and double click Games for Windows LIVE Disabler.exe. Click the Disable GFWL button, then exit. This utility stops Fallout 3 from using the (now obsolete) xlive.dll used for connection to Games for Windows Live. If GFWL is not disabled and the Fallout 3 executable has the LAA flag set, Fallout will have a CTD during launch. The FOSE extender discussed below is also incompatible with GFWL.
  10. It worked for me when using FO3Edit to merge the 3 .esp's from Advanced Recon Trap Detection per the guides instruction. Did you install Merge Plugins xEdit Script into your FO3Edit folder?
  11. Thanks for the help on my post. I have run into another issue. I am at the part where I am installing Advanced Recon Thermal Nightvision. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/15653/? I see there is an optional file on the mod page, FWE compatibility patch. Do I need to download this? The guide doesn't say to d/l it or not to. Lastly before I install Unified HUD Project, is Clear and Present Danger compatibile with Imps more coplex needs? Where should it go in the install order if so? Opinions on the mod? Thank you again..
  12. Hello all, I am not sure where to ask but it deals with this setup. Clear and Present Danger states on Comment on cleaning mods with FO3Edit. "When mod plugins are cleaned with FO3Edit, the mods should be cleaned individually, and when FO3Edit is closed the plugin should saved and Backup Plugins should be ticked". The first one I have to clean is FWE - FO3 Wanderers Edition. My question is do I clean each .esp/.esm (I think there is like 12) at a time or select them within the mod and clean them all at once? Thank you.
  13. or see bottom post https://forum.step-project.com/topic/1373-trees-hd-skyrim-variation-by-namotep/
  14. Astakos thanks for the help!
  15. Hi all, I am wanting to add REGS to my STEP extended install. In REGS it says under pre-installation setup to Install the REGS mods after the last mod in your mod manager program. So the first mod in REGS I would install after FNIS of STEP install order? Or would I start putting them after my bashed patch and skyproc output's for DSR and FNIS? And at the end of the REGS install will I have to re-run DSR Patcher and redo my bashed patch? Thank you all.
  16. Did you follow this part of the STEP guide? https://wiki.step-project.com/Mod_Organizer#Recommendations and did you install the installer version of 1.2.11?
  17. After running DSR Patch in my MO overwrite folder I found a .esp it creates and a skyproc patches folder/tools folder with lot of other txt files and misc/logs/other files. Do I need those when I right click on overwrite and create it as DSR Output? Or can I delete the extra stuff and just use the .esp?
  18. Go into your settings then click on Nexus then use your username and password and check auto login then click on "associate with download manager" links theng go into the workaround tab then type in 0 .52 .2 under NMM version then hit ok. Once completed if you use FireFox - go to Tools then options then go down to nxm then choose the nxmhandler.exe under Mod Organizer's main directory.
  19. Hello, Can everyone please post there Step 2.2.9 Extended load order after everything is installed and LOOT was run last per the guide. Thank you.
  20. Can someone post a Step w/ extended final load order per the guide? I am not able to find one to make sure my load order is correct? And where does the Step extended patch go in the load order before I make my bashed patch?
  21. Lastly, I noticed a note on the Better shaped weapons notes to load BSW after DSR patches. But BSW does not have a esp, so does it matter? Thank you again.
  22. I need some help. Hope I can explain the sitiation the best I can. When it comes to the bashed patch and DSR.esp and DSR output.esp (per DSR recommendations STEP page) amd FNIS Output.esp. At the Bashed patch section on STEP at the bottom it says to create your bashed patch. But why would you do that before the DSR step? Because that adds another .esp along with your created output one, and even FNIS output. So I am to figure out do I make the bashed patch when it tells me to in the bashed patch section? Or should I wait till after DSR, BSW and FNIS install then do the bashed patch to incluse DSR.eps and the 2 output .eps? I hope this made some sense. And after LOOT sorts the plugins I noticed DSR.esp i moved mid way up in the plugin order. Shouldnt DSR.esp be at the highest priority number in load order list? Thank you for the help!
  23. Yes I did, thats why they are attached in the zip file. I am hoping someone can help me out. Really hoping someone can take a look at this and help me out. Any help would be appreciated a ton.
