  1. Sure. I used to commit quite a bit, since it's pretty easy to learn the .yaml format that they use. One thing that makes it really easy is to export the metadata. Just make your rules, click the three dots next to a mod in LOOT, and it will have an option to copy it. Here is what it looks like for a USKP, but it's the same as any other mod: [spoiler][code]name: Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp priority: -1999000 msg: - type: say content: - lang: en str: It is highly recommended that you also use the [Unofficial Dawnguard Patch](http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23491). - lang: ru str: ÐаÑтоÑтельно рекомендуетÑÑ Ñ‚Ð°ÐºÐ¶Ðµ иÑпользовать [Unofficial Dawnguard Patch](http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23491). - lang: es str: Se recomienda que utilizes [Unofficial Dawnguard Patch](http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23491) además de Dawnguard. 2. ITMs would be better know as irrelevant edits. At least they are 99% of the time.
  3. I can contribute to the masterlist.
  4. NVM. It was an extension I had installed. It's a little strict in it's blocking. The link is nothing like an add, so it didn't even occur to me that it was an add blocker.
  5. Well, then lets test our file some more and remove Vano's file. It's weird for users that see that file on our page and also see Vano's file in the guide.
  6. It has to do with Opera then. I could see it with Chrome. That's pretty weird.
  7. So should we drop HRDLC Optimized mod in favor of the one that we offer on the STEP forums? or does our download not include those files?
  8. Here's what I'm seeing.
  9. Check out the SKSE page. Maybe the actual link just needs to be updated.
  10. Didn't we talk about packaging a INI file with some of the tweaks we recommend with our files? I'm still on board with this. I'd leave out AA/AF and Vsync, but put everything else in the INI file. I like the idea of having it in MO from the information tab. I wasn't ever really clear how Tannin eventually made the hierarchy of the different ways to edit INIs play out, but it should easy to package one with a STEP download. EDIT: NVM, I'm going crazy. EDIT2: USKP includes a INI that has one of the STEP tweaks already present. fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=12288.0000 We should remove that from the guide.
  11. When are we going to fix the Video Template on the mod pages?
  12. The problem with the candles isn't so much the appearance of smoke, but the way the candles smoke. It would be a smoke wisp that came off the tip of the flame. You'd think they would have used all that Horker fat to make some oil for lamps. Those date back to the Stone Age. Hell, it would probably be one of the biggest exports of Skyrim to the rest of Tamriel.
  13. Hmm... I didn't even read the compatibility thing. That's disappointing. Those old resin and tar torches would smoke pretty good. No one would ever take one of those things indoors and they'd only last 30-40 minutes at most. If they had some proper wicks and kerosene then it wouldn't smoke that much.
  14. Okay, well you don't need the two perk per level mod since you can do that with the PN MCM menus. Also, that Real Weapons Mods might conflict with WMX since they probably do the same thing. Check it for compatibility. Other than that, I'd check your merged mods. Those can mess up sometimes. Make sure you always tick renumber formIDs when merging.
  15. I like the torches, but the candles shouldn't have the wide thick smoke trail. Candles don't really smoke while they are lit, it's after you put them out that they create a smoke wisp. Torches->running with torch->candles
  16. I tested this last night. It doesn't really do a whole lot, but we should have it in STEP just for the Daedric quests. Too many of those to remember.
  17. No bashed patch or merged patch? Maybe a conflict is doing it.
  18. Hey Roy, I think the latest version of xEdit ignores the trees when you UDR. It's only available on AFK mods.
  19. BSAs. It's always to many BSAs. Extract the ones that are greyed out in the archives tab of MO one by one until the game starts.
  20. Okay, I've updated the first two set, but I have to add a third now with some because of the limit.
  21. I am rusty. The whole time I've been testing I was using the FNV controls. I kept trying to use VATS when I was killing vampires to get they're armor. Also, I could just use a the Pipboy light in FNV, since it didn't even occur to me that torches are a thing. I'll update some of the pictures with alternates and better looking screens, they will just have a torch in them.
  22. Well, all three of the release coordinators agree on this one without the glowy eyes. I only did a shot of that one so people could see it. I'll have to mark it accepted and make a mod page.
  23. Post a link in the OP as soon as you have one. Just remember that member guides should look like https://wiki.step-project.com/User:<username>/<guide name>. You'd be surprised how much work can go into a guide, but once you lay everything out it becomes hard to stop tweaking it and adding to it. People will give you feedback and suggestions as they stumble one it. If you need any help with wiki stuff ask in the wiki sub forum or google wiki markup for the basics.
  24. I recommend that the embers be added to STEP Core. I'm still not sold on the forges, but everything else is great. I keep running into fires while doing other stuff and notice how much this mod looks like actual embers of wood and coal.
  25. The DG armors are subtle, but there is enough there that I would recommend them. Also the wood on the DG weapon (Axes and crossbow) are scratch made textures which are nice. I didn't take a screen of those, so you'll just have to take my word for it. I've been running around with the DG armor while testing the last couple days and I really like the changes to the sleeves and pants. I'm still partial to the Nightshade Vampire armors just because they look like leather, and the red versions look like blood. Vampire stuff that is blood colored is a good thing. The Dragonbone weapons are almost identical and I don't see why they would be useful. The Snow Elf Armor is an improvement from the boring vanilla ones and I'd recommend that retex as well. There are some other things in this pack like the shire of Auriel and the Frost Giants, but they didn't strike me as special.
