Yes, it's safe to update those to mods. SKSE just adds some functions on top of the current mod, but doesn't affect prior functions. SkyUI has built in version checking and that goodness so it won't mess stuff up.

With all these guild/faction/quest requirement mods in testing we should start addressing the recommended settings for them. I know cdcooley already changed his mod to address a better default setting for Not So Fast, but there are quite a few others that should looked into. Thieves Guild Requirements, Timing is Everything (has FISS support), and ESF all have some options in the MCM that should be addressed.

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
I updated the guide. REPCONN Test Site Fixes is removed. No need to redo anything if you want to install YUP 10. -
Actually, that's my mistake. You don't need the plugin, but you do need the mod for the additional assets it comes with.

Yes it does. Follow my example here: -
DROPPED Distant Decal Fix (by SparrowPrince)

You can remove the mod if you want and we'll just add a download to the guide for the 20 meshes to the Optional files on TRF or from my Copy account. -

I didn't even think of that. I knew there was a reason we kept Z around. :P -

The added notices to the DDL page have screwed up the numbering. Just use a bullet point if you can't keep the numbering consistent. -
I need to document the latest version of the patches. I was kinda lazy with the last update.

You delete everything in your MO folder except profiles, downloads, and mods folders. Then install the MO version. You'll have to redo your MO settings and nexus login stuff, but that's it.

Star Wars KOTOR2 gets update ten years later?
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in General Game Discussion
I played a much earlier version TSLCRM. Actually, I played v1 way back before the main guys started their own site, but I never got around to the droid planet. I just installed a mod that you run around the empty world, but it was just to take a look. Amazing how much they left out. AFAIK the KOTOR scene has had to make all their own tools. I don't think they had an SDK supported by Bioware. Also, both of those restored content mods had to be extracted and converted from the original Xbox disc since that is only place all the cut content was left. Pretty impressive. Someone should tell vurt about this because he makes some mods for KOTOR2. -

Aren't we supposed to wait until release to drop stuff? -
Any time you select Clean Masters it is a good idea to also Sort Masters. I forget to do it almost everytime though. :/

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Having all the tags in LOOT is only going to help if WB can actually read them. I guess I could add the script to the guide. It's pretty easy to obtain it. I don't think everything needs to be run through it, but some of the more complex ones would definitely be more compatible. You just have to remember to ignore any of the additional Cell tags. A couple of them are for the beta WB. -

I want to add it to the guide, but I'm not sure on the easiest way to install it. It's probably the assets that didn't copy over to the merged version of the Millenia's Additional Weapons. Just make sure the textures, meshes, sounds... folders all got moved into the merged mod. -
Star Wars KOTOR2 gets update ten years later?
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in General Game Discussion
A Jade Empire update would probably end my summer. I played waaaaaay too much of that game when it came out. I tried to get back into it, but it's just gotten to old. -
So today KOTOR 2 got a pretty substantial update today. Steam Workshop for mods, controller support, widescreen support with options for 4K and 5K resolutions, and also OSX and Linux versions. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/07/star-wars-kotor-2s-first-patch-in-10-years-adds-linux-os-x-5k-steam-mods/ I don't know if I've ever heard of anything like this in gaming where official support for a game this old is given and they also work with modders to make it all happen. I've seen stuff like HD remakes and some older games having their source code released, but not a huge update like this for something 10 years old. The guys from DeadlyStream.com who do the TSLCRM and M4-78 mod have their excellent mods up in the workshop at launch. I wish more games would get this kind of support. I might actually use more of my Steam library if they did.

You just need the Medium files and no patches.

You can save this link as Generate Bash Tags.pas and put in your Edit Scripts folder in your FNVEdit folder. You may have to copy paste the contents to Notepad++ and save it as a .pas (Pascal) file first. Then open the plugin in FNVEdit and right click on it then apply script and find the Generate Bash Tags script. Click yes to save the tags to the header and let it run. Save and close. This will let Wrye Bash read the plugin for the proper tags and can be used for any plugin. -
You should be fine. There is requirements page linked in one of the sections right before the mod tables start if you're unsure.

I do kinda agree with you that this mod could be Extended territory. It is lore friendly if you ask me. I'm playing with it right now and many of the unique versions are a welcome edition since most are just generic weapons. It's pretty sad if ask me. Since the AMB content add-on actually adds some armors and weapons to the game, I don't see turning a few unique weapons into unique versions as a bad thing. We sometimes use an unwritten rule for STEP that if something is really bad in the game and a mod comes around and makes it really good, then we can use that mod in STEP. Convenient Horses fit that category.

DROPPED Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul (by Shurah)

Navmesh edits are the biggest ones that will conflict. I doubt that replacing a shelf with an oven will mess with anything, but moving a bunch of stuff around is probably not recommended. -
I think it's Unofficial Skyrim LEgendary Edition Patch. But, USKLP seems better.
