Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
EssArrBee replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Can you add in a Farmhouse Chimney's rule for the chimney's and the smoke in the next update? We're probably doing to use the updated meshes from Sparrow Prince in the next STEP update. I'm sure we can get SP to add the lod meshes or get permission to add them to DDL if needed. -

On your load order you had both Combined Plugins. Only use one. -

Open the archive, go to the docs folder and open the manual HTML file. Most those mods you listed are handled automatically now though. I know for sure the last two are. -
Yeah, 000 still starts with 00. The reason we focus on the first digits is that it's used as the load order number. If you changed a mods placement in load order some of the formIDs would change as well. 00 is always FalloutNV.esm though, then they increase from there 01, 02, 03, 04... The last six numbers are the reference number of the formID.

The ImageSpace and LTemplate are only for the beta version of Wrye Flash that is not ready for use right now. The other two may be applied. I haven't gone over the bash tags for merging those plugins since the update to ILO. Most of the merges in the guide, order doesn't matter. The only thing would be if one mod required another as a master. I think only the PN patch for the Scorched Helmet in the Yuki section is the only one. -

Han is Millenia's real name, I believe. It applies his texture to the holorifle from WRP. I'll look at the file tomorrow maybe. -
SKYRIMLE Bump Winterhold Vanilla V1 (by Yuril)
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I agree with your sentiment. This is something I actually apply to other aspects of the game. Where I disagree is with the College of Winterhold itself. It's quite old and the city/college has fallen on harder times after the collapse. It's upkeep wouldn't be nearly as good as it was before half the city fell in to the sea. I recently tested the rustic murals or w/e it's called from Gamwich and thought that adding crags and cracks to it was the wrong thing to do. Someone who had the skill to carve those murals would have made them smooth. And, since they have pretty much been left untouched by nature being underground, there is no reason to apply wear and tear. I didn't even bother posting the screens for that mod. The College is outside in the elements though, so it would have wear and tear outdoors from the harsh environment. The inside would suffer from the lack of upkeep. -
Bump Winterhold Vanilla V1 (by Yuril) With the removal of SRO there are some gaps in the coverage of STEP that should be addressed. This mod takes the College and makes the normals really pop, plus it's made by Yuril, so you know it's top quality. Think Terrain Bump for the College. COlor maps are the same. STEP->Bump Winterhold Arcaneum Main Hall Tiles look a little more worn. The stones that make up the walls are bit more defined too. I don't mind the vanilla textures for the college and these normals actually accentuate the look to make it that much better. Yuril has a whole Bump series of mods for cities, so we should probably take look at a few of them for STEP. Very vanilla friendly.

I'm pretty sure, but not 100% sure that IHWT would be preferred. I tested that a while back and remember liking it quite a bit. I just didn't like the installation instructions. I hate anything that has to be done out side of the standard tools. When it's done in regular folders people tend to do their own thing which leads to unforeseen mistakes. A simpler way would be welcome for sure. Actually, if someone would just make a WMX compatible version and give it to Taurus to upload to his page that would be optimal. -

I didn't add IHWT because I didn't want to add the extra work to the guide. If someone simplifies the process then I'll add it. What's RFO? -
We didn't need to forward it until the last update to CRF. All the MDHT data was added so the dragons don't clip through any added houses by that mod.

ELE is weighted, so it sorts after everything that has a lower weight. Just about every mod is 0, so it sorts after them. I think the only things in STEP with higher weight is STEP Patches, Bashed Patch, SkyProc, and maybe DynDOLOD.

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback

Well, I don't live in the Mojave, but I do live in the Chihuahuan Desert. It's bright and vibrant some days, like NS, but other days it's crappy and all dusty like RWL. It does rain in the desert too, we aren't the Sahara. There's tons of plant, bug, and animal life. The southwestern US and northern Mexico deserts have the second highest plant density only behind the rainforest. Our rainfall is 10-11 inches a year and the Mojave is probably 1-2 inches less. Problem with RWL is that it needs about 5-6 more weather types. Add in a little rain shower that can spawn every 25-30 days and only come down for about 20 minutes before the Sun comes back out. Those big giant dust storms actually happen more often in the plains region around Lubbock, TX. The Mountains block that type of storm in most the deserts of the Southwest. Anyways, no one wears sunglasses because no one goes outside. The sidewalk is so hot you can cook on it. We only go outside to swim for an hour. I have one of his mods in the guide already. He makes good stuff. -

We don't actually use no NPC greeting. We use the reduced version that makes the greetings happen from a little closer in. -

It's so simple. Open any STEP plugin in xEdit. Go the the Game Settings and find fAIMinGreetingDistance. Right click->Remove. Close and save. I'd doubt you really need to mess with it anyways, but I'll check when this mod comes out. -

You can pretty much merge anything. I just pick similar mods in the guide because it's really easy keep track of.
